I love coming to this location--friendly staff and a clean space. I really enjoy the variety of classes Life Time provides. The hot yoga classes are my favorite and are taught by knowledgeable instructors. They also have pickleball courts now, which makes this place even more special. read more

Was in between Midtown and Life Time and ended up choosing lifetime. The facility itself is fantastic. Plenty of equipment, plenty of weights. The classes seem excellent. pickleball game here looks legit. The staff are friendly and helpful. Locker rooms are secure, fully stocked with toiletries and about as clean as you could expect. And, yes bros, older guys with no modesty walking around are here as well. The prices aren't that bad, but I did come from CA where a gym membership to a higher end club usually costs a small mortgage, a 10% ownership stake in your soul and your firstborn child. Here's the two downers for me that keep the club from being 5 star. 1) They have a dedicated work area for members. Super useful because a lot of us are coming during work hours or commute a long way to get here. However, the work area/club lounge legit sounds like a club. The lounge is also right along the hallway so there's a lot of gym bros congratulating each other on hitting the PB or ladies walking by who are totes excited about hearing Fate of Ophelia during HIT class. I get it. I'm a Swifty as well and I'm the first to admit that Taylor slays. But I ain't yelling it down the hall. Midtown has a work area/lounge and they commit to it. If you're going to add a space like this, commit. Do it right. 2) Y'all need to up the cafe game or I'll call John Taffer and Gordon Ramsay. Soggy tortilla on a wrap is sacrilege. Where's the two Italian dudes yelling "not approved" when I need them. I know I'm nitpicking. Maybe I'm unfair. After all, it is a gym. I meannnn It's LifeTime. This place is massive and I could spend literally all day everyday here. I'm frequent at LifeTime however I come as a guest. I do not have a membership here and typically come for a weekend sweat sess with a friend. Like every gym on a weekend, it's PACKED. Even with it constantly being crowded I don't usually have to wait for free weights, a bench press or a cardio machine. This location is plentiful when it comes to having EVERYTHING. It could use an update though. Everything is pretty dated and it does look old. Floors, walls, cardio machines, pool area, etc. All of it could use a tune up. Other areas to utilize here are the rock climbing wall, sauna, indoor AND outdoor pool, eating areas, spa services, personal training and work out classes. read more

I've been going to this gym for the past 2 years , I assure you It's not the same at these photos... The locker rooms (women,men, and family locker room) reeks of urine and you can see that it's not clean, even after the gym's staff will says otherwise. We've endured the rising costs the limiting of facility use, all the closings and "remodeling" The staff is negligent (they shouldn't be with the amount they ask for membership). Kristin Baker Is the worst thing that ever happened to Lifetime Schaumburg. Ive been a member of LFT for 24 years. Don't remember anyone as rude and as unprofessional as her. Many members are very unhappy with her. She's too important to even respond to email. She's not teaching any class like previous class managers did but she knows better what kind of class we need. The way she was taking to me - you can talk like that at home but not at work. But this nobody has no work ethics so no wonder. Who and why hired her? Probably Stacy Brown who got fired. Be aware that as of May 2025 they have reduced their hours once again, and of course did not reduce membership fees to compensate us for the loss of service (indoor lap pool, hot tub, sauna, etc now close 15 minutes earlier than the rest of the club, when they previously closed at the same time as the rest of the club for the 10 years I've gone here). read more

Clean gym, kind staff (mostly), and great classes. My only complaint is that they ask for a higher membership to have access to quite a lot of amenities and classes but raise the prices for members who don't have access to those amenities as well. They did a bunch of upgrades that only signature members can use like ultra fit classes and hydromassage beds. Pricing of memberships is already high, and the class time options for the signature membership don't even work with my work schedule so no reason to upgrade to signature. I've been going to Life Time for some time and have to say there are things I love and things I don't love. Let me start with what I absolutely love about Life Time first. I love their salon! My work is within walking distance so it's super easy for me to pop over on my lunch break for a mani or blowout. LOVE. I also love their spa. Again, I'll pop over at lunch and get a 30 minute massage mid day sometimes. It's so fab and Jess gives one of the best massages I've had in my life. She's tiny but oh~so~powerful! :) Love the Life Cafe when you need a quick bite, something semi-healthy plus they have Bulletproof Coffee! YAS. Then the classes. I've done Spin Cycle, Strictly Strength and nearly every Yoga style they offer. When I found Surrender at Life Time, my life was changed. I am now completely obsessed with Yin style yoga thanks to the seriously amazing teachers at this Schaumburg location. I've been religious to the zen for 5 months now and been to a bunch of studios in the city, as well. I have to say these Schaumburg teachers blow all of the others out of the water. They are all great, but a little on my three favs... Andrea is awesome on Mondays for Yin Yoga, she pushes you, is really great at explaining positions and incredibly thorough. I love her motivational words of kindness towards ourselves & others at the beginning & end of practice, as well as throughout. Best part of her classes is the end and her pushing down your shoulders during shavasana (the final relaxation pose in yoga sessions). I live for that! Jenna on Wednesday Yin Yoga is always great! Her voice is so calming and smooth, great detailed instructions again so I don't need to open my eyes at all and can stay completely in my zen zone. I always leave feeling fantastic and insanely relaxed! Veda on Friday Yin Yoga is a favorite of mine because she is also so detailed and explicit in how to move so you never need to even open your eyes to see how to perform a move. Plus she brings some real life situations into the mix, interesting mini stories and repeating kind mantras throughout. I truly love all the instructors at lifetime, but Veda is my personal favorite. Not to mention when it was my first yoga class ever, she was so kind, so helpful & paid extra attention to my coworker and I when we let her know it was first experience with yin yoga. She also is paying close attention to every student...One time she gave me a hair tie, one time just turned down the lights without me asking, one time gave me a scented towel for my eyes, etc. She's the best! Now, other than the above, I honestly don't like working out at Life Time. It's just too big of a gym for me. The locker rooms horrify me and I never go in them, even though I'm there at least 3x a week. And the weight section always makes me feel really uncomfortable. But the classes at Life Time are superb so if that's your thing, membership is definitely worth it! read more

I've been coming here for about 2 years now. The location is convenient for us but there are some cons. I'm not as motivated going to classes here as I was when I attended a different gym. Pros: -Location -Decently clean facility -Convenient to book classes when the app is functioning properly -Nice equipment -Option to grab food on your way out if you don't have time to eat and are heading out. It is costly though. You can also order food in advance on the app. -check in options (via physical card, app, Google pay etc) -water filling options near the water fountains to fill your water bottles -friendly staff overall -automatic door sensor in the front when entering/exiting the gym -sanitizing wipes avail throughout to wipe your equipment -shampoo, conditioner, mouth wash, towels etc avail in the locker rooms Cons: -Instructors: When I find a great instructor or class that I really enjoy and go weekly..the instructors are let go without any notice for those that attend the class. I find out when the class or instructor is no longer searchable. This is very discouraging and inconvenient for those that had a routine going already with those classes. Also bad morale for those that work there..this occurred for at least 3 insItructors so far. -App: The app has technical difficulties that prevent me from signing up for classes when I want to..sometimes it requires a few refreshes or coming back later. -Parking: It is pretty bad. It takes 10-15 mins to find a spot some days unless you choose to park in the overflow lot (a little bit of a walk). Not ideal for those coming directly from work or running a little late for class. Rushing your way to class is not the way to go after traffic etc. -Lockers: similar to parking, it is challenging to find lockers during peak times which is almost every time I go to the gym..sometimes the lockers get stuck as well so you'll need to ask someone to unlock it -Swimming: Limited number of lanes for swimmers that aren't on in the swim club/in classes. They close a couple lanes typically for classes or for those that are in the swim club. This only leaves room for 2 lanes and sometimes they are filled resulting in a wait. -Continuous increase of rates read more

The bathrooms are akin to public restrooms in terms of cleanliness, whereas they always smell like vape and urine was used to wipe down the walls. FYI, majority of their members' membership cost is subsidized by health insurance providers. In other words, don't expect that you're joining a high-end gym if you're paying the full monthly premium. read more

I'm visiting from out of town for work, and worked with Brian for a week pass so I can keep up on my daily goals. Brian C was polite and helpful and got me going with my week pass quickly so I could get my workout started. Inside the gym; its vast and has more equipment than I could ever imagine. I went straight for the rowing machine because that's my jam right now. Unfortunately the foot strap on the right side was broken but I finished my work out anyway. Brian was still there when I left so I let him know about it- he told me there were 6 more rowing machines on the other side of the 2nd floor, so I used one of those on Tuesday. There are lots of televisions and overhead music. Seems like you can dial in to radio to head the sound on a specific tv but I kept to my audio book. Today when I came back I went back to the single one on the right and guess what- the for strap has been replaced! How's that for service! Everyone is really nice and towels are in abundance. I wish we had a lifetime fitness in Florida where I live as I'm really happy with my experience here. read more

There are no fitness classes offered during lunch time. Huge drawback. Working from home is pretty common now and this would be a perfect time to visit the facility for both ppl working from home or office nearby for a quick 45 min guided work out. This would also help with the morning and evening crowds. Even my office building offers this type of amenity and that is not even their specialty. Super disappointing. read more

Love Life Time and the vision they have in the fitness industry......too bad this club location doesn't have that same vision. MAINTENANCE HERE IS NON EXISTENT!!!!!! VERY DIRTY AND THE UP KEEP IS HORRIBLE!!!!!! Sauna wood has such bad sweat rot that the wood is non existent in certain parts of it and some boards are even falling off the walls. All the rims in the basketball court are crooked so badly it's like shooting on a basketball rim at a carnival or amusement park.......also not sure how they manage to have greasy hand prints all up the back board. Only writing this because I am tired of feeling so damn dirty after I walk out of these two places which I use the most here. PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS!!!!! I've been to other Life Time gyms, but this one is truly my favorite. The staff here is always friendly and ready to accommodate to their guests' needs. All of the employees are really dedicated to what ever their task at hand is. I would love to give this place 5 stars but there are a couple things that constantly annoy me there. The place is clean, besides what others review, and equipment is kept in great shape. Here's my issue that constantly eats at me. Half the time I go into the food area to get my Acai bowl they are out of them. This has been going on for months. That's a sign of lack of attention to detail or maybe just bored with their job. The second is the want to be Marine drill sergeant who teaches kids swimming lessons. They don't get much more obnoxious than him. He constantly paces up and down the pool screaming to the point where it ruins the experience of others that come there to relax. He paces the floor yelling (Ten Hut) and barking out commands. His voice echo's off the walls and windows disturbing the 99 percent of us that are there to enjoy the experience, not the two kids that he is yelling at. I don't have either of these issues at Oak Brook or Lake Zurich. When you are the most expensive club in the area attention to the little details is what sets you apart. read more

LTF has LONG been due an upgrade - I'm so embarrassed it's taken me this long! You don't fully appreciate Lifetime until you don't have it -- not to mention, everyone complains while you are there; it's easy to get sucked in and find a million things to whine about with them. That said, this place is unbeatable, and they've really stepped their game up in the last couple years! I would do anything to have access to one again (anything but live in the Chicago suburbs* -- but I visit often). You get: - Hot tubs - Allll the pools (lap, kiddie, outdoor) - Saunas and steam rooms - Ridiculuous amount of gym equipment -- Free weights, squat racks, weight machines -- All the cardio things (treadmills, bikes, stairmasters, etc.) - Classes (from yoga to zumba, you name it) --- Some of the yoga teachers are INCREDIBLE (ahem, Alicia B. & Piera. Donna and Charlotte are lovely too!) - Group fitness (lots of people cheering on treadmills in here) - Basketball courts - Rock climbing wall - Etc etc etc For extra, you also get access to: - A delicious cafe with great food & smoothies - An amazing salon - Massage therapists And the real kicker? You get all of that for a THIRD of what yoga studios in California charge -- seriously. Yoga studios have monthly passes for around $200 (I've seen some much higher), and you get a water fountain and toilet. What a bargain. The one thing that's still better about working out outside of Lifetime is access to equipment. That's where they lose a star (oh, and parking - but...those are just slightly related :)). Those two factors always take back the euphoria I get. 1. Circling around to park (before you can even work out or go to your class!) is EXHAUSTING. It's like Woodfield @ Christmas, except here you can kill off the stress you just built up trying to park de car. 2. My idea of working out doesn't involve looking at the machinery; this isn't a museum. No matter what day or hour, I would find myself waiting. Hovering. Not-so-patiently vulturing. A workout which normally takes me an hour at my own gym would take 3-4 here. The problem is two-fold: more people than equipment, plus a smattering of rude hoarders. read more

I think its just more fun to be outside in the summer, and hence, less people at the gym... this place really needs to improve the parking deal though, for real. Stopped in with the whole family using their guest pass (the advertisement keeps showing up on my facebook feed .. guess it worked). A pretty top-notch gym, but you pay for what you get. The pool area was large, the water was warm (a huge plus). Unfortunately, the pool slides were closed the time we were there, so we couldn't take the kids on it. The hot tubs were one of the largest I've been in, so even though there were a few other people in it already, it wasn't too crowded. The locker rooms were nice and clean, with a little lounge area to sit and watch tv while I wait for my family as well. All in all, very nice and updated facilities. Only thing I can complain about would be the basketball courts. Hoops aren't well maintained, rims were crooked, and balls were low quality. Not my favorite place to ball, but nice place for the family to enjoy swimming from what we've seen so far. I'd come back again to check out what else they have to offer. read more

I personally experienced some classes like yoga SOL (ANTHONY)classes on Wednesday and Saturday, GREG.S ASHTANGA classes amazing which make my heart and mind so peaceful to explore my body. I even go Alejandra Pilates classes she is energetic woman with lot of experience. What more I can say about this place at towel desk people are very helpful and very kind. Life cafe is one of my favorite place people always know what I need and make me feel home with great taste and health.
