They have signage pointing you towards where you need to go and have ample parking as well. A very nice set up for the area with a great variety of items you can buy. Which one of the best parts is everything available to buy is created by a local owned business. They offer lots of small little plants, baked goods (sourdough, cookies, etc), other food products including local meats, beauty/skincare products and more! Truly something everyone could find and want to buy while supporting local farmers/makers. They run off the honor system and offer a great amount of different ways to pay. Just fill out the log with details of what you are buying and then pay one of three ways offered (cash, through card or Venmo with both those offering QR codes for quick payment). A spot my wife and I look forward to returning to. Highly recommend the chocolate chip cookies from New England Sourdough Co. A phenomenal spot worth supporting!

Today was that day with them hosting a Mother's Day pop up with Eighty 8 Donuts and the newly opening Mini Bar coffee trailer. It's the perfect time of year to visit here with Maine finally getting warmer and nicer weather. Despite the somewhat rainy and gloomy start to the day the sun has come out and so have so many people. They have a large parking lot but it's been very full. If you are looking for any plant this is the place to visit! From the smallest options including Bonsai trees and succulents all the way up to trees and more. You could spend hours here walking down and looking at each and every plant they have for sale! We even had a great time just browsing and looking at all the beautiful plants. They had many members of staff who were putting more plants out but all willing to help with any customers who needed it. I thought prices were reasonable for what they were. Some were high but it was for large or non common things. Besides the plants they also have an indoor shop with bird feeders, feed, books, and more. Extremely well maintained and thought out business with phenomenal staff and an incredible variety of plants for sale. A true paradise for those with a green thumb!

What do I love MOST here?…read more 1) The staff! I'm not sure you're ever going to meet people who care as deeply as these folks do. Any question or concern you have about absolutely anything related to local flora/succulents/bonsais, or a troublesome indoor plant you have at home (... that they didn't even sell you), or about what grows best in xyz condition inside or outside - they're gonna know. And they're not gonna lead you astray! 2) The property! This has been a nursery for over a century. It's now an employee-owned cooperative.. There's a garden center stock with tools and supplies for home gardeners, as well as gifts, books, pottery, and more; this sits on their 50+ acres - 10+ of which is open to the public (ask for a map when you show up! No really, this'll make your experience even better!). You could absolutely make coming here an event: bring your iced coffee and just meander the shrubs, bushes, trees, and perennials. You'll even find the occasional bench or Adirondack chair inviting you to take it all in. I bought a really healthy Sansevieria here last winter, and it's thriving! I for sure will be buying my future houseplants here (they also offered some free advice on my Trader Joe's rubber tree plants which I appreciated). Unfortunately, I wasn't able to buy my herbs and veggies here for this summer's raised beds - did I come too late? While the options were plentiful in mid-May, by the end of May there were no herbs or veggies left; just loads of flowers. Maybe they were in between stock? I get nervous planting super early, because our spring weather has become so unpredictable, so it was a bummer to have to go elsewhere for those things this year. Maybe next year I'll be able to get my garden plants here!

We have a couple in our flat from other local places; these low maintenance baddies can tolerate pretty much anything that happens (... or doesn't happen) to them, they purify the air, and supposedly help with sleep. Skillins to the rescue! I didn't realize HOW enormous their indoor space is; be ready to be surprised too! PRO TIP: This would be a lovely place to bring a coffee and spend an hour wandering around in the middle of winter. It's so warm and bright in here! An employee watering some plants asked me if I needed help, then walked me over to their Low Light Plant section. There were half a dozen or so smaller snake plants available, several of them showing new growth already! They were $10; I feel like that's exactly what I was expecting/hoping to pay. When I was cashing out, the person in front of me was buying a bouquet of flowers. The employee at the register softly inquired if they were for any special occasion. Come to find out they were a surprise for his wife "just because"; the employee then wrapped them up in such a pretty, thoughtful way (and I don't think he was charged for it). When it was my turn, she even wrapped up my snake plant so that it would "stay warm" as I walked to my It looks like they host community events, so be sure to check out their website for fun things to do!
