I'm starting this off with 4 stars as I'm basing my review on my initial meeting today with my coach Debbie. She was friendly and very informative. I signed up for the program but won't officially start until Oct 28th. You get a starter kit which includes a weeks worth of food, breakfast, lunch, a snack and a months supply of vitamin supplements, you provide your own protein and vegetables for dinner, there's a menu telling you the break down for each meal. You also get a daily journal and reading material about the program and suggested online resources that may help you on your journey. I know on the Yelp page it says it's covered by insurance, but it's not. You will meet once a week with your coach, there are 4 phases, phase 1 is where you stay until you lose the amount of weight you've decided on, and then you move to Phase 2, which I'm not going to get into because I'm only concerned with starting and getting through Phase 1. Physical Therapist Adam Taylor has been my primary therapist, and I can't express how thankful I am to meet him! I have heard about this place from one of my friends and have checked them out due to my very painful back. Which I couldn't do anything such as daily activities, normal work, sitting for a long time or even standing. After I had a health scare in 2016 my wife decided to get healthier and lose baby weight. She had tried many diets before but always gained the weight back. I had similar habits. While on the program she list a total of 89 lbs. I feel like it was about 8 months total. Then I was coming upon my 1 year follow up and she was looking great and I was still fat and unhealthy. Initially she forced me on the program. But through the guidance of the health coaches I soon was motivated to do everything on my own. Health coaches Kelli and Debbie have their own different approaches but both very effective. Kelli is soft and gentle but doesn't let you off the hook if you cheat. Debbie having been a successful patient of the program herself is a little more direct but is completely empathetic bc she truly gets it. The diet is by no means easy. It takes a lot of commitment. But the program won't fail you if you are ready for it. It took about 6 months for me to lose 60 lbs and I still can go back on protocol if I fall off track. My little sister saw our success and in about a year she lost 100+ lbs. Legit she saved her life. another sister went on and I think she lost 40lbs in about 6 months or so. It has become a family affair. My wife now 2 1/2 years later has kept off the weight, does martial arts, walks marathons and has so much more energy. I on the other hand enjoy cooking now and in her words look better than I did in high school. The ideal protein meals are good. I use them for my personal diet. Chips rarely fit any diet but their BBQ ones are a treat.
