So impressed with how responsive and honest this company was! We had another company come diagnose our AC when it went down during a heat advisory. They said our 3-year-old unit needed a new compressor. For those of you who know, that's very rare. Then that company demanded payment upfront for a part that was still under warranty to the tune of $4.2 thousand. We called Oscar's to come look a the unit due to feeling leery about the quote we got from the other company. Oscar's came out and said 3 of the 6 wires to the unit were loose. All it needed was to be reconnected. So for our $80 diagnostic fee Oscars fixed the AC, and we saved $4.2 thousand in unnecessary work. We had them do some other work, hard start unit and surge protector installation, which was the cheapest quote we got, and the work was done exceptionally well. On Father's Day, our AC unit died. Within several hours, the owner Oscar showed up, did a diagnostic check, and gave us an estimate. As our AC unit was likely the original when our home was built (~19 years old) it was outdated and certainly not worth paying for a new compressor. I don't like leaving bad reviews but I feel like people should know. I bought my first condo 2 years ago and during that time I received a quote from Oscars for a new HVAC unit. I used that quote to give the old home owners so that they could split the bill with me. They gave me 4k off the quote of 8k. I finally have enough money to replace the unit and knew the price would be a little higher because inflation. But when I called the company they said which ever technician that gave me the original quote did it wrong, they really don't know what happened, that maybe he did it on a neighbors unit or something else. He sent another technician out to look at the unit again where he told me that he's never seen anything like this before. They told me they couldn't even do our HVAC unit and to go with the other company who recently quoted me 12500. It's my fault since I didn't get several quotes when I bought my first condo. But I also didn't think I was going to get mis-quoted so badly. I gave them 2 stars because Telly was really nice. But I'm pissed at this point. read more

they are not reliable, damage a Pack unit in the middle of August heat, and wouldn't repair it, instead abandonEd the Job. the damage summed worse than replace a unit in itsel. 40 gallons of water had to be pumped up before installing a new unit. do yourself a favor Stay away from this company and his employee. Oscar's was quick, knew their stuff, and had a reasonable price. My wife is currently 7 months pregnant, and we have a little baby at home. So when the blower went out on our AC unit, I was pretty desperate to get it fixed ASAP. I searched Facebook for who was local, and found Oscar's. Trini came out within 40 minutes! He diagnosed the problem, happened to have the part (a small capacitor), and had me cooling off my family within an hour of the call. The price was good for a normal house call - one that's scheduled days or weeks in advance. To give some perspective, I found a good Garage Door repairman who I paid the same to - though that visit had a few days' notice. For being last-minute, and coming within the hour - I could have expected to be charged quite a bit more. You get - less than - you pay for. Nice guys, but inexperienced unprofessional kids doing expensive system installs. What you WON'T get on a full HVAC replacement: any consideration of actual air distribution from new equipment thru ductwork; any consideration of existing footing slab vs. new condenser size; checking proper wiring for thermostat; checking for defective components in newly installed equipment; installation of the correct items that were agreed to in advance; proper cleanup of work spaces in and around house. Insist on everything in writing; you'll find they prefer verbal assurances, and will not respond to written emails and texts. You'll also never see or hear from Oscar again, after initial sales call, even if he says he'll be present during install. They also compromised attic rafter supports despite a "guarantee" in advance they would not, and have now simply walked away from poor duct connections by refusing to respond. I'm left with the further expense of having another HVAC company inspect the mess I was left with, and fear what else they will find. read more

We just returned home from vacation to find one of our ac units wasn't working. It was 5pm on a holiday weekend. I called the local GV big name company and was happy to pay the huge after hours charge, plus parts and labor. I was told he would arrive in the next several hours. Great, same day service for a premium, I'll take it. Then my wife recommended Oscar. She said several of our friends have given him rave reviews. I gave him a call and left a message. I received a return phone call within ten minutes. Oscar was very helpful and attempted to troubleshoot the issue over the phone. I appreciated the gesture, he was trying to help me immediately with the outside temp hovering at 113. Unfortunately the issue needed his hands on expertise. He arrived three hours later, on a Saturday night, fixed the problem including parts for less than the price of the competition's after hours charge! read more

Oscar and his brother, Trini (?) are totally awesome! I have a 3.5 ton unit and a 3 ton unit. After the last power outage, the 3.5 ton quit working. I was told by two other outfits, both whom came to the house, that the compressor was shot. I called Oscar and told him about this. Since two other outfits told me this, Oscar too my word for it. I discussed options with him, and he came back with an entire new unit deal at a really, really good price. He ordered the unit, and it was delivered the next day. A few hours later, Oscar and Trini arrived to install it. Before Oscar did anything, he pulled the outside corner plate off to expose the starting capacitor and relay. He took one look at it and knew what was wrong. The capacitor was bulging at the top. It was shot! There wasn't anything wrong with the compressor. He replaced the capacitor and voila, the unit started working! Oscar said the compressor was in great shape! He and his brother passed up a great commission on that new unit because they were HONEST!!! God bless them both. They charged me for the capacitor, a house call, and for some refrigerant because it was low. It came to $220. The new unit was 10x that amount. And that was several hundred dollars less than their nearest competitor. I was so happy that the good Lord blessed me with honest people that I gave them a pretty good tip and told them to go buy lunch. At first, Oscar didn't want to take it, but I insisted. I will use them the rest of the time I live in this area. Don't bother with any other outfit if you run into problems. Go straight to Oscar. You will NOT regret it. Oscar and Trini rock!!! read more
