I was very excited for the future and felt I was finally in front of an expert in the field. Fast forward 12 weeks, I went in for my lab results and have my medication tweaked accordingly. My results were ok, not optimal (which is what I was seeking) and my TSH read low. He told me my problems aren't thyroid related at all and that I should be looking into a chronic fatigue specialist and a therapist if I still wasn't feeling great. And said it's all in my head and I'm making it up. And everything I've researched regarding thyroid is completely FALSE! He became very irate. I told him how much I've been suffering the last 4 years from this and his response was look at the degrees and plaques on my wall. 40 years experience I know what I am talking about! Instead of explaining my new treatment plan he kicked me out of his office. My results came in 2 weeks before that meeting. No one called me to tell me my results, no one called my pharmacist to revise my medication. His office is flooded with people significantly older than me and each wait time is over 1 hour. If your looking to see him for basic thyroid issues totally pass on him. I truly believe he kicked me out because I'm simply not enough $$$ for him. He doesn't want to just interpret resukta or even bother explaining the labs with you, he wants people who down the road need surgery.

The day of my appointment came and I was told my appointment was for the day before. This was absolutely a mistake on their part. I made a big effort to have my husband take the day off since I could not walk due to my foot surgery the previous day and although this mistake was an inconvenience I would have agreed to reschedule if I had been treated with respect. From the moment I walked in I asked if the doctor was running on time. The person immediately had attitude and said she didn't know. I explained to her my situation with my foot surgery and that I simply needed to understand an approximate range of how long I would be waiting for, as I had been instructed to keep my foot elevated and her answer and tone was very upsetting- again rude with attitude and not willing to provide any type of range of wait time. I am disappointed that someone would treat a patients' time with such little respect, more so being that I had a very good reason to be asking! The doctor did accept to see me on this day but again the woman had very bad attitude not giving any type of time range. Being that I had my issue with my foot and I could be there for hours I had to leave. Sometimes people need to have consideration for special circumstances- I didn't want special treatment but a simple "it'll be 1 to 2 hours" would have sufficed.

What I didn't appreciate was that this could've been informed to me prior to my appointment, because I provided them with everything at the time the appointment was made, and it wasn't. Publix pharmacist has to resend refill requests since they just backup at the Dr's end due to a slow process. I tried for over 5 weeks leaving VMs and texts (Xiomara prefers texts) re switching Ozempic to tirzepatide but never got a call back from either Dr Deschamps or Xiomara despite voicemails and texts. No apology from either of them. Don't go where you're viewed as a pest not a patient.

Also, I have always been very satisfied with the clinical aspects of the group. However, the supporting office operation is a mess. During this past experience, I faxed in information and a request and received no response. I sent a second request in 2 days later and still no response. I called and was on hold for over 20 minutes, so I hung up. I called back and was on hold for another 10 minutes before I got a chance to leave a message. When in the office the front office personnel is never friendly or welcoming, and there is an overall sense that they don't want to be there. This office operation needs a major overhaul. This office is a quintessential example of poor customer service.
