What the heck happened to Oscars? Ordered online. The food was 20 minutes late. Pork sweet n sour was dry with a weird aftertaste and no, not any sweet n sour sauce at all on the meat. Rice was bland and starchy. The egg rolls were good but they used to be great. I've been a customer for many years. I would give this place negative stars if possible. I have eaten here many times over the past several years. It has deteriorated over the past couple of years. Their food used to be good, hot and fresh. Now it is greasy, burnt and just plain awful. For example, ordered garlic fritter ed chicken and it was nothing but back bones with fried batter. Great food! Sometimes the wait is a little long for lunch but the egg rolls are amazing! Definitely not the best place for larger groups. I love that they have specials that you can really try and little bit of everything. I would give them more than 3 stars if they were a little cleaner. Fried rice is good but any type of "chicken" is listed on the menu... it'll all be the same . It's not really chicken, it's almost like tenders but softly cooked (not crispy/rough). As for flavor, their go to is "sweet & sour" but it's not really that, it's more on the sweet side, a lemon-like flavor without the sourness. If you look at the pictures on their reviews, you'll see the same type of "chicken" they serve & most have this "sauce" on it which is basically the same. While growing up in Ada, Oscar's building was Conda's used book store. Sometime after I left town in 1985, Oscar's moved in to the location. I can't remember anyone saying anything bad. Never heard much good either, but nothing bad. We'll, tonight I was talked into giving it a try. I checked Yelp first, but I went anyway. Here's my review. Atmosphere - none. Cleanliness - very questionable. Food - a bit scary, but I have had worse. Price - inexpensive, yet overpriced. Service - good. Parking - dangerous. Recommended - not at all. I found nothing redeeming about this place. However, apparently they do a lot of business. The place was packed. Now, I do think I know why. Decent Americanized Chinese food for central Oklahoma, but hands down the worst service I have endured in many years. Literally 15 min. before my water came out. In the 3 months I have been in Ada the lack of good service at almost every retail store (not just restaurants) has been appalling. I went to Oscars with my wife because we love Asian food. We ordered chicken lo mien and beef broccoli and egg rolls because I heard their egg rolls were really good. I have eaten Asian cuisine across the globe and I have to say this was one of the worst I've had. Food was overall bland. Chicken was fatty, beef was chewy. The egg rolls were no better than frozen ones from a grocery store. There are not hardly any Asian restaurants in Ada but I would rather eat a frozen dinner than eat at Oscars again. read more

Called order in advance...arrived, waited 6 minutes to be greeted. Asked for call in order....he began taking my order. I said it was a call in, he wants my order again. I asked if it was ready he said yes and I paid (mistake) 15 minutes later I have my order. Order was wrong...food was a 3 out of 10 at the best. I've been going to Oscars since 1993. The thing to get is either the Sesame Chicken or the Hawaiian Chicken. I love the fried rice and hot egg drop soup! They'll customize your order too you just need to ask. I ordered some fried noodles minus the veggies once and it was great! I love their sweet and spicy Sesame Chicken sauce very much.
