I haven't tasted it yet but I just opened my box that cost $11 .. and there's hardly any meat and just a shit ton of rice.. I'm severely annoyed. Not only that but it took 20 min .. express my behind .. I tasted it.. it's good but still

I use to be a fan of Osaka but this meal was one note. I'm use to getting a good amount of veggies but they were missing. Instead I got a lot of juice?? This was the first time I tried the salmon but it was just ok. Rice didn't have much taste, thank goodness for the white sauce. I'll probably be back in a few months, we'll see.

My first time ordering to go. I ordered shrimp and scallop bowl and I got scallop and chicken ‍ i was disappointed coz I i was excited for the shrimp and when I open it it's chicken and scallop . Besides that they're pretty good and the sauces are good as well. I'm hoping next visit they'll show me my order first before they bag them to make sure I don't come home with the wrong order. I ate most of it coz they are good . Just next time show the customers their order so they don't come home disappointed with the food they didn't order. Thanks!

I saw this place across from Walmart with a "Open Soon" sign and couldn't wait to try it, I love Japanese Hibachi ! They have been open the past couple days and I had the chance to try it today. I had gone in yesterday and got a menu so we could study it. We were greeted by very friendly staff, it took bit to place our order, they were very busy, that's good ! So, we placed our order and bantered with the very friendly gentleman at the register who took our order and he stated 10 minutes. 20 minutes later we finally got our order to go and left. After we got home we were very surprised at the amount of food we received. I ordered the steak, chicken and shrimp hibatchi, it came with choice of rice, fried or steamed and either miso soup or salad, I got the salad with ginger dressing and fried rice. My wife got the shrimp bento box with fried rice, miso soup, gyoza and shumai. The food was amazingly fantastic, it was just like the food you would get at Miyabi Japanese Steakhouse without the show. The order even came with yum yum sauce !!! We were very pleased with our meal and most definitely will return. Now, the downside, this place is very small with about 4-5 tables and they are so close to the counter that you would probably not enjoy eating in store. Not sure if it was the weather today but it felt as if the air conditioner was not working, very warm, again, I would not enjoy eating in that condition. Tip: If you order the combination hibachi be prepared, so much food we could have shared it easily. I understand that they just opened and working the bugs but they should work on getting orders our more quickly. Overall I think Osaka Japanese Express will Be my favorite go to in Spring Lake !!! We will be back often. Oh, btw, I think I'm the very first to post a review UPDATE: This is my second review of Osaka. Again, the food was great, the staff very friendly, we got order much faster than the last visit. I had the steak and chicken hibachi and the wife had the shrimp bento box. If you are hungry this is the place to go !!! Looking forward to my next visit !!!

I've had their food once before and decided to try it again Tuesday March 9,2021 I went with the steak and chicken with white rice hibachi and as I'm getting down to the last bites I see some that looks like baby larvae in the white rice. I don't mix my rice a meat I eat it separately. I take what I see out the rice for further examination because it is very tiny I snap a picture to blow it up to be sure and surely that's what it is some type of small baby larva. This is horrible so now I'm up taking laxatives so that whatever this is that I might have eaten comes out tonight.

I was disappointed with the food. Japanese restaurants are always good but they weren't.

I got a hibachi steak bowl. It was mostly all rice with very little meat. Taste was just okay. Definitely not worth $11-12 for lunch.

Busaba in Southern Pines did not miss…read more I came in wanting something good and left genuinely impressed. I ordered the eel bowl, ramen, dumplings, and a coffee and everything hit in its own way. The eel bowl was the star for me. The glaze was perfectly balanced, not too sweet, and the eel was tender with just the right amount of richness. The edamame and pickled veggies kept it from feeling heavy, which I appreciated. The ramen was creamy and flavorful without being overwhelming. The meat was cooked well and the broth had depth, not just salt. Dumplings were crispy on the outside, soft inside, and paired well with the sauce. Service was smooth, food came out fresh, and the presentation was clean and thoughtful. You can tell they care about what they're putting out. Only thing I'd say is if you're sensitive to richer broths, pace yourself because it's definitely filling. But overall, solid experience. I'd absolutely come back and try more of the menu.

The ramen was tasty but not traditional. the pork was breaded and fried and delicious. However this is a fusion of indian and ramen. All in all not what we expected but nonetheless it was tasty and very good value. We will return.

Cute interior but not fancy, food is served on paper plates…read more Service at front was polite and nice! I got a spicy California roll- it was small for 7$, like thin rice layer and no cucumber, and it was shredded crab inside not whole Saw another review that said the Poke bowl was all sauce and my husband would agree, he just didn't like it very much. They charge 1$ for pretty much every extra sauce. The good side for me was my chicken katsu was crispy but thin.

I'm disappointed. I love poke and boba so I really wanted this to be a hit, but it was far from it…read more Aloha Poke is next door to Jin Jin, which is in a fairly desolate area off Lillington Hwy. The staff is friendly and the interior is cute. Not sure why there is a wall with pictures from Santorini, but ok. I received the menu in the mail, so I pretty much already knew what I wanted to order. I ordered the Hawaiian Poke Bowl with a Thai Tea Boba. My wife happened to order the exact same thing. The boba was brought to us first. On first site, I already wondered why there is little to no ice and hardly any boba. After taking the first sip, the taste was ok, but it was barely chilled and wasn't refreshing in that sense. The boba itself had a nice texture and flavor to it, but there was probably only 1/3 of the amount I'd expect from other boba places. Next came the poke bowl itself. With my first bite, the only tasted sauce. As I took a closer look, there was nothing but sauce. Once I got to the rice, I didn't see many grains that weren't covered in rice. Also, the rice didn't seem to be either short-grain sushi rice, or medium-grain calrose rice, so that texture was off to me. There was just so much sauce it kind of made me nauseated.
