I have been here for alternative options (steroid injection, etc) but finally decided to see a surgeon about my debilitating shoulder pain ... Took sick time for an appointment with Karen Perser. Arrived early as directed by the Logan health automated system. I sat in waiting room for nearly an hour before finally asking the receptionist what the deal was ... she informed me that dr Perser was running 45 minutes late. Why wouldn't you let her patients know, I wonder. Anyway, I guess this review doesn't matter because, my options for care --. thanks to the Logan health monopoly -- indicate that I can suffer with pain or suck it up and deal with with crap medical care. Or I guess travel to another city.

On a Wednesday AM, one month ago, I was taken to this beautifully built facility for a pretty…read moreintense laceration I had suffered. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, and I was taken back to a room almost right away. Dr. Shane walked into the room where my brother and I were waiting and I felt instant relief. His presence was calm, composed, reassuring and silly all at once. I had a big hole under my arm and he congratulated me for "winning the best laceration of the day!" He began cleaning and then stitching me up. When he told me about the needle he was going to use (I strongly dislike needles), he said it was almost 10 inches long, watched my facial expression and then started laughing. He said he likes to use reverse psychology on his patients as he was trying to help me feel at ease - it worked. The needle he showed me didn't look 1/2 as bad as the first one he said he was going to use, ugh. He was very gentle with each stitch and in no time at all, he said we were done. He even let my brother take some photos of his needle work. Over the last month, I have babied the area around the wound and taken excellent care of it. I know, however, that because of his care, that that's why I have recovered so well. I almost have full range of motion back now and am pleased to write a stellar review for this doctor and his team. If you are in need of urgent medical assistance, and you don't have to go to the ER - check these guys out. To start with, you can never get a hold of a scheduler and they never call you back. Sometimes, if…read moreyour lucky, you will get connected to a scheduler, but rarely. Everything is scheduled weeks out, but I guess that's par for the course anymore! Now, the procedure team is excellent I must say. The nurses are very thorough and the preparations efficient. However, Dr. Kneeland resembles a hummingbird, flitting from flower to flower. He boasts about how simple the procedure is and how many he's done, so there's nothing to worry about. And, it's true. The procedures go very smoothly and efficiently. But you kind of get the feeling that your just a cow getting branded, with how many procedures he's doing every day. After several days and the return of the pain questionnaire, you expect a follow-up call, that never comes! So, you try to get a hold of someone to schedule it, and you have to leave a message for a scheduler to call you. But then, you've heard that story already. All I can say is, I'm still in pain, (Lumbar stenosis at the L4/5, S1) after 2 procedures. And I wish you luck. Hopefully your experience will be better!
