There are two parts to being a doctor. The knowing medical stuff, and everything else involved in…read moredealing with other people. He's adequate at the medical stuff. He made a fairly correct recovery plan after I tore ligaments in my ankle. So that's good. It's the rest that's the problem. The entire month of October, he didn't have a receptionist. He probably still doesn't. Based on this, communication with him comes courtesy of another doctor's receptionist, and it's very spotty. He claims to like to correspond via text, but is extremely slow to respond. His office is under-stocked, I needed an XL walking boot, and he was unable to get one. When he finally did, it broke within a few days of me getting it, and it then took about another three weeks to get a replacement. Also, and I know this is dumb, but he smokes. It's hard to trust someone with decisions made to make your health better, when he's actively destroying his. He is also based in Staten Island, and isn't in the office that much. Perhaps this is due to a lack of clients, or something else, but whatever. UPDATE: He didn't submit paperwork to the insurance company about my needing an orthotic, and had me pay directly out of pocket, which the insurance company says he is not supposed to do. Avoid this doctor.

INCOMPETENCE OVERFLOWING! I highly recommend staying away from this guy…read more In April I went in with some foot pain. I already had orthodic inserts, so he just looked at them, glanced at my feet and said I needed new ones. My understanding was that the ones I had were supposed to last 10 years (they were only 6 years old), but he insisted. He didn't watch me walk or do anything else in his examination. I foolishly gave him the $200 deposit for the new orthodics, and he said it would be 2-3 weeks. In mid-July after weeks of calling them and hearing they'd be in the next week, I managed to convince them to return my deposit and cancel the order, especially since I wasn't convinced I actually needed them. He gave me a $200 check, which consequently BOUNCED! Yes, a medical professional bounced a $200 check! So I had to hassle them for a few more weeks to give me a new check along with the bank fees I was charged. He wrote it to me and never even apologized once for inconveniencing me. He made it seem like I was really inconveniencing HIM! Anyway, I felt very lucky that in the end I only escaped with having wasted my co-pay. Fast forward to today: the last week in January. I get a call from him saying: "You're orthodics came in!" He had no recollection of what had transpired during the summer. He still tried to convince me to buy them for $200. HA! Stay away.
