"Don't it always seem to go, that you don't know what you've got till it's gone." When you can't walk without pain and you start to change your lifestyle because of it, it tips the scales in favor of surgery. She heard through the grapevine about Dr. J. Chris Coetzee. She had the surgery three weeks ago. The clinic at the University of Minnesota campus was professional, friendly, and very caring. They listened to her fears and concerns and made adjustments. She came home very satisfied. They answered the calls that night when the pain increased and did what they could to help us through the difficult period. But the information they gave us on what to expect was accurate and did not pull any punches. We went back and saw Larry, the PA, after two weeks and he treated her with respect and tenderness as he removed the dressing and stitches. She is still recovering, but she is very thankful up to this point to have had such good care.

New location has plenty of parking and is easy to find, just off Shady Oak Road and 62. The space easily allows for social distancing when not working directly with anyone. There is a coat rack and space for shoes at the door, next to reception. You will be asked to fill out a form prior to your appointment, but that is pretty typical for any service related business nowadays. Over the years, I have never had anyone less than fabulous for massage. They always review your chart and listen to your immediate needs and accommodate what you want to work on, as well as working on what they feel you need to work on. I suppose if you wanted a relaxing massage, that is what they would do, but I like to come here because they dig into you with pressure! I like to leave my massages feeling it, especially the next day. I have even gone in before not being able to move my head to one side. Had them work just on my neck and they worked out the kink and I was able to turn my head fully in both directions again. They are keeping up with the times and offering CBD massages, though I have not purchased any products. Of course they want you to become a PT client, not just a massage client, but they do not pressure you in any way. I know I need to do some PT to fix things, but they are happy to mend me as needed with massage. FYI they do a free PT consultation and help you figure out Insurance garbage. As far as covid safety goes, they are doing a great job. All employees are wearing masks and all clients are required to do so as well, including during the massage. Due to the nature of the business, they cleaned between clients pre-covid, but I do not know to what extent that may have changed. Upon arriving the check in was fast, Katy checked me in, was super kind, and informative. I had a cup of water before my massage and Sierra came to grab me pretty quickly. Prior to my massage she checked in with me regarding what I wanted work on, the intensity of the massage, deep tissue massage, and the use of hot stones. I think she did a good job of informing me of what was happening as it was happening. My one comment would be a little bit of small talk to help ease customers into comfort if they're new to massages. I will say the unique thing about this massage was it felt like she utilized holistic approach (really utilizing the feedback of the muscles / body to find spots of tension or knots) to working with the body and not just massaging at a hard level. I usually leave massages sore and relaxed although I left here not super sore but my muscles and body felt relaxed. I was impressed with Sierra's ability to find the knots or tight spots and to work on them in a way that's wasn't only painful (a few spots were but that's normal). I got a deal on my massage as it was my first one which was extremely affordable and likely started a new little splurge for future me to continue caring for my body in a way which feels productive and healing. Outside of this experience I have also come to Wellspring to do a free yoga class which was extremely helpful in releasing body tension and relaxing. There is also tea and water for customers. Overall, I think that the employees at Wellspring care for their customers and truly want to help. This is shown in how they talk, present, the engagement that's shown, and the hard work they do. I tried it all Night Splints, Casting, rolling a soup can, stretching etc. and all the medical doctors wanted to surgically cut my Plantar Fascia to relive my condition. Month after month I went to numerous doctors including the prestigious Mayo Clinic and none of them had any clue on how to cure my condition. Are you sick right now? Don't bother calling, no one's available. Did you finally get in but need lab work? They now use Quest Diagnostics. Despite have 3 times the lab staff that they had when they were independent, you will have an unacceptable wait time. Quest will then ask for your insurance information ( which you just gave to the front desk). Two days later you will receive a bill directly from Quest telling you that payment is due NOW despite them not submitting it to your insurance. The doctors and office staff are wonderful but Allina has truly made this a nightmare experience!
