In a dental/medical office, it goes a long way. Talking to Dr. Boggan was, as always, a huge pleasure, and I always leave there with more than I came with. His assistant was so funny, friendly, and professional. I have to also mention that the service was top notch. This is hopefully one of our last visits, but the information about any follow up care or assistance was duly noted. Dr. Boggan definitely has the care of his patients in mind when he does work on them, and I'm telling you, reviewing the before and after shows it all. Keep in mind, anyone can get a BEFORE and AFTER shot, but the way its done makes a world of difference. Thank you thank you thank you!

I have been to other Birmingham orthodontist locations, but the alabaster location is the one I have stuck with. I had something break once & I didn't call I just showed up & they took me right back. They genuinely care about their customers. I used to dread going anywhere for dental work, this place & their staff has completely changed that for me!

I had wanted braces for a while. Most people didn't notice, but I had mild issues on my top row of…read moreteeth and moderate crowding on the bottom. I went to several consultations over the years, but it was not until a few months ago that I decided to finally do something about it. On September 1, 2020, I went for a braces consultation here. I knew that Birmingham Orthodontics does same day braces so I had my teeth cleaned by my general dentist a couple weeks prior. At the consultation, I had X-rays, pictures, and an examination of my teeth. After that, the orthodontist told me I was a good candidate for braces. He also said I could get my braces same day, which I chose to do. I paid and then I got my braces on. It was an easy process. I was not in any pain during or after the braces being installed. I have been back twice since my braces were initially installed. Each time, the staff has taken precautions for Covid-19 and has been prompt and professional. When I ask questions, they have been answered. My treatment so far has been great! My teeth are moving well! I'm looking forward to this journey to straighter teeth. The orthodontist we had was a very nice older gentleman that takes the time to understand what is needed and quickly determines the path that is needed... and if you are ready, and they can fit you in they can put them on right after the initial consult. That is what we opted for... now as far as the "tune ups" every 6 weeks, these are pretty quick as well. My daughter is only back there for about 15 minutes. Now not knowing anything about braces as I never had the opportunity as a child. Needless to say braces are a lot of work as well to maintain. My daughter was not fully prepared but is finally getting the idea. I will say do your research on additional items you need. Like little brushes for "in between tooth paste brushing. Also listen very close to the instruction, these are not a suggestion but mandatory. If you do not take care of these they can actually damage your teeth... all of this information is give. To once the braces are on. As far as cost... yeah it is kinda expensive, but if you need to you can finance them... All in all we are really happy with this place, and I would recommend anyone here to get their teeth straightened.

In fact, a 6-star rating would still not come close to the 100 stars that they have earned. LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! If you see this then you are likely in the vicinity of one of the two offices, which are exceptionally convenient being immediately off I-65. The Stadium Trace Pkwy area of Hoover is local to Hoover, Bessemer, and Pelham. The Valleydale Rd area of Birmingham is located within Pediatric Dental Associates' Medplex office and is local to Pelham, Hoover, Alabaster, Calera, and the Pelham side of Chelsea. I have been driving from the Ballantrae community in Pelham for over a year. Each location works well due to their proximity to I-65. As an adult patient whose needs were not as complex as others' I never anticipated I would be treated as their most important patient, though that is what you experience with Samuelson Orthodontics. From the moment you speak with them you are cared for no less than they would care for their own family. The treatment plan, along with the financial aspect of it, is plainly explained. There were zero financial surprises along the way or near the end of the treatment. I was new to the world of braces since my formerly straight smile was becoming V-shaped and teeth had started to shift. I selected metal braces and had fun with the jokes from my friends and family. They also offer Invisalign and clear braces. I maintained my oral hygiene and had no staining of my teeth when they were removed. Dr. Samuelson and his assistants beautified my teeth to be straighter than ever before and brought back my joy in smiling. With braces appointments you get to know everyone quite well and you see how patients around you are treated. Every single interaction with every person was filled with kindness, concern, empathy, efficiency, appreciation, and knowledge. Dr. Samuelson is, by far, the most approachable and humble doctor I have encountered while also being on the cutting edge of Orthodontic Technology. I'm a micro-manager and he gently and clearly had an answer or reason for my endless questions. He and his assistants are patient and kindly educate while continuing to stay on task, no matter the interruption. When scheduling and rescheduling appointments you will speak with helpful and friendly Scheduling Managers who will do everything they can to accommodate your needs. Everyone is proactive. This practice can be trusted with your teeth and your family's teeth. I observed their outstanding care of other adults and children, including those who have different or special needs. The kindness and expertise were apparent every moment. They deserve and have earned the business of each person reading this review. It is so rare to be able to give a 5-star rating, and even with such a rating the business typically has some room for improvement. There truly was nothing that I experienced that could be improved.
