A little backstory our block of four or five new build houses had to install a yard this past summer by May. We all just moved in and several of the neighbors went with a guy they found on craigslist. We chose Ortega landscaping company that was referred by the builder. Not only did he complete the job on budget and within the allotted time but he came back and confirmed if we were happy or if there is any concerns that we had. He took care of us , he treated us like family. There were times that he was very booked landscaping and lawn care season. But he need time for us.My neighbors who chose the other guy to do their yards ended up not happy and the work needed to get redone and the guy wouldn't come back. The Ortega landscaping company guys are amazing. They installed our backyard fully from the ground up. They took time and care to come out and do follow up. There were times, where they were busy and may have over scheduled their day but they made it right we just has grace and Patients. I stayed them if there was a major concern, since I knew that they were busy (if it was important). It was May and it was their busy time. This last year they came out and did follow up sprinkler repair, some of it fell on us ....that just as a homeowner responsibility but he worked with us. But at one point they saved our grass. That was just installed, we had grass Mites (from the open field behind us) . Jose Junior said it was the cause of the mad, big, dead spots. He recommended to us, to call our pest service and have them treat the grass. Which is exactly what we did and it solved our problem. I can't tell you enough how amazing they are an honest they were with their quote. He helped us, keep budget in mind and plant choices that would last. His crew was respectful. They did a full install of plants, sod, and cement porch and side walk in a week and a half in our back yard. I recommend them to anyone who has a new build and needs a full install I recommend them for jobs just simple as a blow out of your sprinkler. I trust them, I believe in them. We have worked with them over the past year and I can't tell you how many people have different stories than us. Their contractor never came back, their contractor went over budget, their contractor ruined their yard or their home. That wasn't the case with us. The Ortega's were amazing from beginning to end and that's why we continue to choose them over anyone else. Don't be afraid to give them a call and get an estimate talk to them. Very nice guy. Will smile in your face and take your money! Over 2k in services to be left w/dead sod he laid and he planted a dead bush. After calling him for over a month, and he NEVER RESPONDED, I figure to save someone else 2k of their hard earned money!!! Stay away from him!!!! read more

We had a great experience with Jose and his crew. He came over three times at our request before work started to discuss the project and generate a quote. Work started as planned and he and the crew worked very hard to complete everything on time. The project did go over one day due to issues with our existing sprinkler system. Now that the work is done we're very pleased with the quality. Work included xeriscaping the front yard, fencing and significant concrete work. The total price was very fair. First experience was good when Jose came out and winterized sprinklers at my rental property. Second experience was like trying to pull teeth - promises promises and calls to the "office" and promises of calls being returned, not coming out when promised etc. Until this place gets its stuff together, look somewhere else. They have plenty of better competition for your job. read more
