First the pool is right near the beach. you can do backstroke and see palm trees! Second. It always has a QUALITY coach on deck. Not just running through a board with a work out on it. They are experienced coaches who care. It is clean and easy to get to. If you are traveling and want to swim a %) meter practice...come on over and check them out. Great place o swim and enhjoy.

Our move to SBSC was about increasing their pool time and being part of a team. This is definitely a high performance program and not a play-time at the pool. Meets are competitive and can be intense for beginner swimmers (and parents) until you get the hang of it. That said, this is a controlled environment for young athletes to really challenge themselves and learn about setting goals and accomplishing them even when they "don't feel like practicing today." I guess that would be the self-discipline muscle grouping getting a work out. My husband and I grew up on sports teams so are not squeamish about our kids getting coached and adhering to a structure swim team. I recommend that new parents looking at the program visit a few practices and talk to the coaches first. Other parents are also a resource, so don't be shy about asking them questions also. We purchased a Harbor Parking pass which can be used along the waterfront from Leadbetter to East Beach, so worth the $$$. The surrounding area is the perfect waiting room for parents, so bring your running shoes or bike to work out while your kids practice. At least four decent coffee houses are within walking distance to pass the time and enjoy SB.

The first day of class…read moreit is hard to see your baby cry because the swim experience is new (the pool is heated & babies are always supervised by 1-2 adults with swim jackets) but after just 1-2 classes our daughter was LOVING swimming!! If we miss a class our daughter notices & tells us! "Swimming!!" Wendy knows how EXACTLY how to work with babies & teach them swimming. One of the most impressive things they learn is if they fall in the pool they learn to put their arms up, reach for the side and climb out of the pool-this is HUGE for pool safety should your baby somehow manage to fall in!! We have had so many compliments from other parents while on vacation about how well our daughter swims for her age. Thank you Wendy & crew! We will be enrolling our son as soon as he is old enough too!

We absolutely love it there!!! The facilities are always clean and tidy and the staff is amazing. They start the babies out with small classes which help with repetition and really learning the basics, and then move them on to privates which really focus on technique and skill. We look forward to swim every week and intend to continue going well into the girls joining their swim team. Thank you Wendy and team!!!

I was very pleased with my change to his company for weekly service. Considering it needed a remodel, I then called around to several pool remodeling contractors in Ventura County. Dan had the most competitive quote. He also came out to my house multiple times on very short notice to discuss options. Further, I called him on the weekend when I was looking at tile options and he answered right away. I had dozens of questions for him and changed my mind about certain things numerous times throughout the process, but he would always respond with a smile and assure me it was not an issue. Dan ended up replacing my heater, pump, lights, piping, blower, tile, and pebble plaster all in one week. His employees left the area immaculate at the end of the project and I could not be happier with the end result. If you need either weekly pool service or a remodel, call Dan!

They did an amazing job on all counts! Our old pool looks brand new! Luis was very responsive and constantly making sure that everything during the planning phase, construction & follow up was to my utmost satisfaction. He also introduced me to a 3rd party contractor who specializes in pool rocks. Our large (1/2 the size of the pool) old waterfall rock was chipping and discolored. The contractor did a great job restoring our rock to "like-new" condition! Luis and team are extremely professional, courteous & do awesome work! The whole job took barely more than 1 week! I highly recommend American Pool Plastering!

We contacted them right away and were initially told that the spots would go away on their own. Six months later, the problem is significantly worse. Our pool went from having a dark/black finish to being covered in noticeable white discoloration. Since then, I have had more than five different pool professionals inspect the pool, and every one of them told me the issue appears to be related to the plastering work. Despite that, American Pool Plastering has continued to blame other factors and other pool professionals. UPDATE: I finally spoke directly with the business owner. During the conversation, I was first told the problem was caused by acid. Then the explanation changed to the calcium levels in the pool being wrong. When I told him I was going to hold the company accountable for the condition of the pool, he ultimately told me to "go **** myself." I am not asking for anything unreasonable. I paid for a dark pool finish, and I expect the pool to look the way it was supposed to look. I will gladly update or remove this review if the company makes this right and restores the pool to the finish we originally paid for. I'm just mad that I asked the first day and they told me it would go away I kept asking until 6 months later he said no worries will offer to clean it for any extra 2k are you out of your mind?
