I felt their price for the work outlined was excessive but I had no other choice if I was going to get my wife and newborn son back home. With the terms agreed upon they began the work the next day. Much to my surprise, Hypro did not show up. Two Ulraniane fellows, who could barely spoke a stitch of English, showed up and dug a 3' by 6' hole. No equipment, just shovels. I was able to determine that they were sub contractors to Me Rooter, who was contracted by Hypro to do the work. My issue arrises form the fact that the guys did not complete the work as agreed upon with Hypro. After a few calls I was assured that the work would be completed properly. It wasn't. I won't bore you with more details but it wasn't what I was promised and paid for. Hopefully it the pipe doesn't settle too much and stands up to the weight load.

Prior to this LP (Local Pro) coming to our home, it was made clear the service we expected and wanted. A new dryer coil was to installed, as it was made clear there had been condensation issues with the old coil and with a new dryer coming we wanted the new coil. LP lifted the coil glanced inside and said it was fine. I said we wanted the new coil again was told it was fine. There was no diagnostic check done by LP after installation. Later that day when we went to use the dryer it gave off 90% blockage error. I reached out to LP and informed them of the issue. LP reply was as follows: Because it was a vent issue and not an installation issue. And proceeded to inform me of the cost to have him come back out. I mentioned to LP if the new coil was installed as we wanted this would of been avoided. Since we where already financially invested in this service we decided to have them come out again. Today I went down to do laundry I could feel a lot of heat coming from the dryer and blowing from the back. Come to find the coil was not connected properly to the dryer and was dangling. I reached out to LP and Informed them of the issue along with a video showing it was not connected. Yes LP offered to come out at no fee to correct. However at this point, I decided no more.

He saved the day for us…read more Our heat went down and after several phone calls only Gasko would come out to take a look at our situation at 11:00 on a bitterly cold night. There diagnosis, the chimney was blocked and we would need a new chimney liner. In the meantime both the heating boiler and the hot water heater would have to be shut down because we were in an unsafe situation. They recommended we call our service provider (Reliance Heating) out in the morning to see what could be done about a solution. So Thursday morning I called Reliance and several chimney sweeps too - one sweep arrived and their solution? We can help you in mid-January. Reliance came not once but twice - 1st guy said, your chimney's clogged and you'll have to get it un-clogged - thanks, and here's our bill. The second guy was more help, he gave me a few suggestions and then placed a call to a guy he thought might be able to help? I heard him describing the problem to this guy on the phone and then he said, "oh, you know about this problem"? It was Phil from Gasko. Phil came back this morning with a 40 ft. rented ladder and a new liner. With his 70 year old Dad holding the ladder, he removed the old liner, the squirrel debris, re-installed a new liner and turned the heat back on. Best service ever!!!! The store was recommended by a friend in Toronto whose family lives in Guelph. I phoned Shuh's and spoke to Jeffrey Maclean, who arranged to have a repairman go to my friend's home in Guelph to fix his dryer. Jeffrey was totally professional. He took down all the info and told me a repairman would drop by between 9 a.m. and noon. Sure enough the repairman showed up exactly as arranged. He did a great job and fixed the dryer on the spot. The price was VERY reasonable. I highly recommend Shuh's appliance repair service. It is reliable, fairly priced, friendly and professional. I would also consider purchasing appliances from Shuh's too if I ever need any.

On Monday (Jan 31) we noticed that our HVAC system was leaking, flooding our basement. We called…read morethis company who had previously installed the HVAC system. The old owner used this company prior to us buying the house in 2020. The technician who came to repair the HVAC said the issue was that the condensation pump was broken and placed a new pump. After installing the new pump he found that the condensation drain led outside the house and into the garden. The cause of the issue was that the condensation drain, which should have never been installed leading outside, had frozen, backed up the pump and caused the pump to break. He said our only option was to get a new line installed but we'd have to pay to have a new line installed, despite the fact that this company had ran the previous line, that had broken the previous pump, flooding our basement. He left our 'fixed' pump with the condenser going into a bucket. We paid $500 for this service. The next day (Tuesday 1st) we called to speak to the manager and spoke to Rhonda who said she didn't think having a new line installed was a unreasonable ask, but she needs to confirm with the owner and would call us back in half an hour. It's now Friday (Feb 4th) both me and my husband have called back multiple times to ask whats going on and have been told multiple times that the owner and manager are both too busy, the receptionist would leave a message for them to call us back. I asked if I could book a meeting or some time with either of them and was told that wouldn't be possible but she would again leave them a message to call us back. We're absolutely appalled by the customer service of this company. This company originally ran the line outside that cause the flooding in our basement that we've now had to make an insurance claim over. We can't use the $300 pump that they installed because if we did the exact same thing would happen. Asking for the company to rerun a line, is not an unreasonable ask considering the damage that has been done to the basement and the results we've been left with from the service. We have absolutely no idea why anyone would run a line that carries water, outside, in Canada where, it will freeze... If you're looking for a company to conduct good workmanship, good communication and customer service, please look somewhere else.
