The Flour Power Bakery brick and mortar shop is finally open!…read more I didn't make it to their grand opening on Friday, but I've enjoyed quite a few of Michaela's treats over the years. I've gotten plenty of macarons at farmers markets and more recently have enjoyed her holiday treat boxes. She's had a Pullman pick-up option and also offered delivery. It seems like a lot of people have discovered her because their kids live in the WSU dorms and she has advertised dorm building delivery. I'm not sure if dorm deliveries have mostly been the holiday treat boxes or birthday cakes. I haven't tried any of her cakes yet but have enjoyed seeing the photos on FB/Instagram. The 21st birthday cakes with fun designs seem especially popular.

They are quick for being made to order and everyone is super friendly. I track my macros and Shayla was nice enough to break down the ingredients so I can accurately track and still enjoy them as a nice treat. I'm excited to see them continue to grow now that they've opened a second location. I've only been inside a few times but there always seems to be ample seating, and they have picnic tables outside now that the weather is nice.

There was food, crafts, flowers, more food, hot beverages, more food. And oh yeah more food. I really love the musical entertainment as it was a unique sound. The farmers market was long enough to walk and eat without feeling guilty. We got some lumpias which were the best I've had in Washington. I got some tamales and Sushi which were a hit. We even got some teas to keep us warm. If you are in in downtown lasko during Saturday mornings, this is definitely a great place to do some shopping.

Safe to say I've been to quite a few in my time on this Earth. This is the best one. Seriously. I've never been to a better one. The quality of the vendors was top-notch - from the produce, hand made products, and food vendors, to the live entertainment. The whole thing was so well put together. I would honestly make a special trip just to go here for the day. Specifically, two booths to mention. One, Brush Creek Creamery makes incredibly smooth and delicious cheese - not too salty, but packed with flavor. Second, the Swedish bakery booth! What beautiful pastries, also packed with flavor. Not pictured, the countless produce booths were amazing, offering samples of absolutely delicious produce of all kinds.

However, we live out of town and recently had some cuts of steak done for a special occasion occurring that same night. When I opened the package later to prep the steaks, one of the cuts was absolutely horrendous. It was definitely and end, which I understand, but it started off thick and then taper it off at the bottom to this thin little slice. There was a thin membrane in between the main thick part of the sirloin and the rest of the sirloin (which was mostly fat) so the sirloin fell apart at the membrane. The rest of the cuts were absolutely perfect, but this one was subpar and I was embarrassed to serve it to my husbands co-workers because it meant someone was getting shorted a steak unlike the others. Sadly, I had no choice but to serve it as they were closed and dinner was happening. I called them that night and left a message explaining what was wrong and asked for a callback seeing if I could get a credit for the steak or a refund for just the one. Instead, I got a call from the man who cut it; basically arguing with me that his cut was perfectly fine and that unless he could see it, this was a moot point. I spent $55 on three steaks - I expect customer satisfaction to come into. I'm the customer and I'm telling you I'm not satisfied with it. I ended up just hanging out. I wasn't going to sit and argue with someone who has your interest in his customers satisfaction. It fell apart it was embarrassing and instead, I'm getting argued with about how the cut was perfectly fine. We won't be back. And that's too bad.
