Basic as far as rest stops go, this is not much more than a large parking lot along US-95 between, well, not much. The nearest big town is Winnemucca to the south and the Oregon border town of McDermitt to the north.
The rest area is located on the east side of the road and is accessible by both northbound and southbound traffic. There is a stone marker dedicated to members of the Civilian COnservation Corps who died while fighting a fire three miles east of here on July 28, 1939.
There is a restroom building with toilets but no running water. And a dumpster. That's it. Absolutely no shade out here but there is a good breeze.
