Robert, Daisy, Debbie, Edie, Miranda, Cornelio, John, and all the house staff -- thank you! Everyone at the Best Western helped make our extended stay as comfortable and welcoming as possible. What started as a few days turned into a few weeks, and those full breakfasts sure helped us get through it! The mirrors were dirty, there were stains splattered on the walls, and the tile floors looked like they hadn't been cleaned. The entire room smelled unpleasant and gave the impression that housekeeping either rushed through it or skipped it altogether. What made the experience even more concerning was what happened to my friend. It took the front desk three different room assignments before he finally got a usable room because the first two rooms they gave him were already occupied by other guests. How does something like that happen? Thankfully, no one was changing clothes or in a compromising situation when he opened those doors, but that's a major privacy and safety issue that should never happen. The staff was unfriendly and showed very little concern about the problems. Even the small things were disappointing--the snack area wasn't even properly stocked, which seems like one of the easiest parts of running a hotel. Overall, this stay was far below the standards I expect from a Fairfield Inn by Marriott. Between the filthy room, poor customer service, and the serious room assignment mistake, I left extremely disappointed. I sincerely hope management reaches out and offers some form of refund or compensation because this experience was unacceptable.

Unfortunately, I have had to spend several weeks here while traveling for work, and every week has been awful. From rooms that were not clean because, according to the front desk, "a few of the housekeepers quit" to rooms with bugs. Even trying to talk with the "manager," Eve proved that this property does not care about the Marriott brand, service, or basic traveler experience. When I asked to be moved from a lower bedroom that was not secure and full of bugs, I was told that the only room available was on the third floor, but it was in the Manager's name. The lovely front desk team member called the manager and she said that it was not safe to put me in that room. When I asked for the franchise owner's contact information, she told me she would not divulge it. I said I would be posting on social, and she said she did not care. I know the options are very slim in Winnemucca, but I strongly suggest choosing an IGH property or one of the local hotels over this property. You would think that $250-$300 per room per night would pay for upgrades and service, alas... It does not!
