After all, we had a stressful journey from Valencia that required us to transfer to a different train in Barcelona. Once we checked in and walked out of the hotel, I just pointed to this spot like there was no other choice. Fortunately it wasn't bad. It could've been because it's one of the waterfront eateries that draw passing tourists like Republicans to gay escorts. The menu was fully Italian and pretty robust with a variety of choices. We decided to split a couple of things. The first was the 14,9€ Insalata Cesar, a Chicken Caesar Salad they served in a flatbread basket (Photo 9). They served mixed greens instead of romaine. Although light on greens and grilled chicken, it had a lot of Parmesan shavings, focaccia croutons, and Caesar dressing. The second item was the 18,9€ Pinsa Pancetta e Tartufo, a surprisingly large flatbread topped with truffle cream, Italian pancetta, melted mozzarella, mushrooms, and black truffle pearls (Photo 10). It was definitely enough for two. All in all, pretty good for a dining impulsive choice. We shared antipasti for 2 plus a plate of chorizo and peppers in salt. The portions were quite large and delicious. One of my friends had the tuna steak, the other lasagne and I had the mushroom risotto. Again everything was delicious and a big portion size. We shared two bottles of Rias Baixas Albariño plus I had an espresso. The bill was just under €100 which was great value for what we had. We are here for another 8 nights so we will definitely return for dinner on one of the nights. Highly recommended.

There is the Casanova Beach Club with is another restaurant on the other side of the street. I'm not sure if they are associated with each other. We spoke with a guy staying in our hotel and he really like Casanova Beach Club. In hindsight, I think we should've gone there. For one, this place was so crowded and the food was just okay. It took a while for us to get our food. It wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't super hungry. And, I didn't like that people could smoke in the restaurant. The smell of cigarettes the entire night was a huge turn off. My food was a bit on the bland side. I didn't like that no seasoning was in my pasta dish and the shrimp seemed like they were just steamed and tossed in the pasta. One of my friends had the lasagna. She said it was good but she's had better. If you're looking for a place to eat and there's nothing else open, give them a try. It's okay but I've had better.
