Absolutely the worst customer service imaginable! The office staff is rude and unhelpful. When you call with a complaint or issue, they argue with you. I asked to be rescheduled for my pest control because we were out of town and was told that that was not possible and that they "had" to come out according to our "contract". I never recall making a contract with Orkin but I did sign something on an IPad at the initial service because the technician told me he could not complete my service without this. I was never given a copy of what I signed or given a chance to read it. I consider this highly deceptive!!! Anyway, I called the office to cancel and future services and was told they were coming out on a particular day. I told them not to send anyone again, and then I got an invoice today by email. I do not intend to pay this and am going to file a formal complaint. Good luck with this company if you use them, I will never again!!!! read more

We had to have our attic re-insulated and sealed we had critters they came they did the work and damaged event I have been waiting for one month and in constant contact with people at Orkin and it's still not fixed for my ceiling duct. They charged me a small fortune to have it done and yet they don't live up to what they say with repairing what they break as of right now I would not recommend them read more

Orkin - This is how it looks in the room and they should be responsible - Pest Control Near Me - Roanoke, Virginia

We contacted Orkin because we had a pest issue under our house. We hoped they could address it, but the inspector claimed the problem was caused by mice. Although I was skeptical, I agreed to the service they recommended. The service involved redoing the attic insulation to fix the supposed mouse problem. When the technicians arrived, I asked if this would resolve the issue. They laughed and said what they were doing wouldn't fix the problem and that it was likely an animal under the house, which I suspected all along. Sure enough, within a few weeks, the problem was back. What they did didn't fix the issue. This means the inspector misled us into purchasing a service we didn't need. When setting up the contract, the inspector used an iPad with a PDF instead of a traditional contract. He quickly went through the details on the screen, making it hard to read, and assured us that the financing offered was interest-free and could be paid back as we were able. However, we later discovered the financing had a high interest rate and fixed payment terms--not what he had promised. In summary, the inspector lied twice: first, about the actual pest issue to sell us unnecessary services, and second, about the financing terms to encourage us to agree. We were left with a costly service that didn't address the original problem. read more

A few months ago the office scheduled service on a Saturday even though the technician doesn't work weekends. No notification that they wouldn't be coming. When I called on Monday, the office acted like it should have been obvious that they would be working on Saturday. This month they scheduled service for this morning from 10:00-12:00. No call to let me know they would be late. I called at 1:00 to get an update. The office explained that they hadve meetings on Wednesday and they would be late. I explained that they scheduled the window and I didn't. The office acted like I should understand that they schedule service calls during staff meetings and the calls would just be shifted. The tech is now estimated to be here at 4:22. read more

If I could give a rating less than 1 star I would. They did an okay job on the bugs it was the add ons and their cancellation policy that are criminal. They continue coming back time after time and billing you long after the insects are gone. Watch out! read more

Great always been a pleasure always do a great jobI can't say enough of these guys they've been there to the dick and then even help me when I couldn't make the payments and I went beyond way and beyond to help me get the infestation I had taken care of these guys are awesome they rock thank you so much by the top pest control read more

I hired Orkin for a flea removal at my apartment, and they had told me that it would be one treatment. I would have to vacuum every day for two weeks, and then they would come for a follow-up treatment, and at that point that she would be dealt with, I did not have that experience. Orkin never called me to schedule the follow up appointment on time so I had called them and then they came for the follow up. We had hoped that the problem had been resolved, but we continued to fleas so I called them and asked what they could do for me, and so they came and did another treatment. At this point I was nearing the Orkin promise Warranty and date so I had asked if they would come back if after their second full treatment it hadn't been fixed and they said they would I had asked for that in writing, and they refused to give me in writing and needless to say I vacuumed every day for 2 1/2 months... you might not realize how much time it takes to vacuum every day. The issue was supposed to have been dealt with in two weeks, but me and my roommates suffered for nearly 3 months. Oregon stopped picking up my calls and would tell me that they would call me back, but never follow up. I would not recommend Orkin to anyone especially because their "Orkin promise" is definitely not a pinky promise. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. They no showed on several instances within my first six months always waiting until the last minute to "cancel". When I called to cancel my service they said they would handle it only to have them try and show up next time claiming a note was never made and I would have to pay for the service. Could not recommend less. read more

Poor did not do as was promised still have the problem they said it would work on first visit seems like they don't know what they're doing or do they read more

Only giving two stars because service started out very well. However now I get texts saying my bug guy is here when he's clearly not. I get no calls ahead. I'm trying to cancel. For the last three "visits" I've had to pay, never actually seen the guy (cause there's no way he showed up cause I was home each time.) So what exactly am I paying for? Your guy stopped showing up ‍ and please don't say I. Having yall treat for inside bugs only outside. Think twice before hiring this company yall!! read more

been with them for afew years started great now they won't come even after they send me a message saying they are cancel multiple times a month like your time doesn't matter but always charge the card loo elsewhere for service read more

Wish zero stars was allowed, this company failed to show in the 2 hr window for appointment, never called, text or emailed! Then was informed the inspection report could not be done as i wasn't a current customer....trying to force services. This was for a VA home finance, disabled veteran not able to get these done because they failed to inform me of those provisions. Veterans find a more reliable company! Buyer beware!! read more

If I was able, I would give "0" stars. The only good thing I have to say about Orkin out of Roanoke, VA is that the technician who provided our service was friendly and knowledgeable. But if you ever have to deal with the office/administration, watch out. They are very unresponsive and when you do reach someone, they don't often do what they say they will. They just had ANOTHER price increase. This time it increased by over $30 per treatment. Never advance notice of the price increase. When we called to cancel the service we were told we had to give 30 days notice, but our contract has been expired for two years. And they absolutely did NOT give advance notice of a price increase. How is that fair? We were told several times the manager would call because he/she was never in when we called. Big surprise--manager never called. When we told them we would not pay the charge if they came out the next time, we were told oh well, they would just send it to collections. Yeah, definitely not a way to do business if you want to keep your customers. My advice is: avoid Orkin Roanoke like the plague! read more

We scheduled a termite inspection and was given a time window. The inspector missed the first inspection window without letting us know that he couldn't make it. Called corporate and got a second appointment. The inspector missed the window again. The inspector did finally make it around 5-6 pm but the appointment was scheduled in the morning. After the inspection we schedule treatment. We asked if the treatment could be scheduled on a Monday or Friday and we got a yes. The technician came on a Saturday morning and did a half ass job. The contract clearly spells out what to do which areas of my property. But he just did not follow directions. We only found out that he did a half ass job after he's left without even letting us know that he's leaving. Call the inspector/account manager and apprised him of the incomplete job. He scheduled to have a tech to come out to finish the job and said would give us a time window. He did not give us a time window and it is the day the work is supposed to take place. Tried to call the account manager and he didn't pick up. Called corporate and got voice mails. Left messages but got no return calls. I could have done the treatment by myself but I paid premium price expecting the job will be done correctly so I would have no concerns. But the service I am getting is very low quality. Much lower quality than if I were to do the treatment myself. I just want what I paid for and I will never hire Orkin for anything ever again. read more

I was shopping about a week or two ago for groceries. I had had a long week from work and school. I just wanted to get my groceries and go. I went to pay, but the cash I had didn't cover it all. I started handing stuff to the cashier when a guy with only a few items volunteered to pay for me. Wide eyed, I starred in unbelief. "No," I said. He shook his head and reassured me that it wasn't a problem. I couldn't believe it. I thanked him, and I thanked him again in the parking lot. I shook his hand and glanced at his vehicle. I saw that he worked for you guys. Looks like some of your employees look out for more than just pests. Glad to know there are caring people in the world. God bless! read more

Hired them to come in and exterminate around the house for bugs and spiders, ended up buying a plan because they'll treat the yard for mosquitoes in the summer. We just bought this house a few months ago and it was inspected by bug man and their only findings were termite damage and they did treatment for it. Orkin came over last week for their routine exterminating around the house except this time they brought a salesman named Joey with them and this guy tried to scare my wife who I is a stay at home mom in believing we had an mouse infestation in the attic and it would cost $6500 to remove the installation and close up all entry points in the attic. Needless to say there was only a few droppings and and a water stain in the attic. The worst part of this mess is that they made no attempt to try to set up any preventives to solve the issue, they didn't even leave traps for me to set up myself. What I don't like about Orkin is don't try to scare a women into believing theirs mice in the house and then refuse to set up traps.. piss poor salesman tryna take advantage of women.. read more

I have started with Orkin about 6 months ago. The people they have sent to my house have been wonderful. However this past month I had a scheduled service and Orkin sends an email reminder that someone is coming. They don't tell you what time or time frame on the email. Well I was home the whole day and no one came. I called them about it and they apologized. They rescheduled right away but then again no one came. They don't even call to tell me they are not coming. I had to call the main number to complain. How do you run a business like this? I would easily change to another company but sadly people not showing up is a common culture of Roanoke and very little advertisement. I suppose an 80 percent show up is excellent for this area. read more
