Too pushy - Too many steps to go through for assistance - meaning they had to schedule a consultation first and that was 4 days out and then decide from there what to do. The amount I was going to be charged was ridiculous. I ended up having a very large white jacket nest in our playroom ceiling that I needed taken care of ASAP. Rude on the phone and I needed someone that day and I was told, " (my name) you need to work with me here." This was said in a rude voice. When I tried to cancel they wouldn't just cancel and in order to book the consultation I had to give them a bank/credit card . Unfortunately I booked a consultation but then shortly after I spoke to them, I received a phone call from a local long running company in my town who came out right away and didn't charge me anything. I'm definitely worried now because they have my card number. They never officially canceled my appointment. They made the entire experience stressful and complicated. Outstanding Professional Service! Be sure to call this company when researching companies for your insulation and pest control needs. I just had rodent foundation barrier applied, attic and basement insulation, termite prevention treatment, and rodent/insect services performed by Orkin, in Auburn, NH and the team that took care of my needs exceeded my expectations. Communication and documentation are important in many projects, and this team is a model example of what superior customer service is all about. I tend to be a detailed person as a result of my profession and look to documentation to support my decisions. The team at Orkin of Auburn, NH provided me with photos, videos, and comprehensive printouts for the entire project with prompt follow-up emails and daily home visits throughout the project. I was a bit hesitant at first when researching and selecting a company as I imagine many homeowners are. I would highly recommend their services to anyone looking for replacing and/or adding insulation as well as preventative treatment services in the area of pest control and management. I honestly didn't even want to give this company a 1. Extremely dissatisfied how the associates/managers treat their customers. I've waited on hold for over an hour to have no one answer the phone, once I finally got in touch with an associate I asked to speak with a manager. That was comical, he asked if I would go in "halfsies" on the bill. He then began berating me for the one time I showed up 10 mins late. (My Orkin guy never comes when he is supposed to). They never come on time, bill you for extra visits even though they say and I quote " if bugs creep up in between visits, we will be in your doorstep free of charge!" Instead of helping me with my service he started pointing fingers. This is by far the worst customer service I have ever received and I would never recommend Orkin to family or friends. read more

We heard mice in the wall at 9:30 pm on a Wednesday and called Orkin to schedule an emergency visit. We were told a technician would arrive between 10-12 on Thursday (12/29). We got a confirmation email first thing on Thursday that had a completely incorrect mailing address. We tried multiple times to call and correct the address but ended up sending an email and leaving a voicemail. At 10:30 am on Thursday we called to verify the address was corrected (it was not) and confirm service. When the office worker on the phone called the technician to confirm the time, we were told that he was on an emergency and we couldn't get someone out until 1/4, a week later. This is after we were told on Wednesday night the urgency of having someone out right away to avoid an infestation. We also have 2 kids under 5 so it is a health concern to have mice in the home. Clearly, we are going with a different company. Orkin is unorganized, unreliable, can't pay attention to important details like addresses, and expensive. read more

2019 went with Orkin and paid like $1,500.00 for 3 year service and I hardly ever say any service to the bait trapes. As a matter of fact the guy couldn't even find half of them and I believe there were approx. 20. Today the 14th of April 2022 I canceled with them because in 2021 I had termite damage inside the paneling of my down stairs and it looked like water damage till I touch it and my finger poked right through wood like paper. On the 4/4/2022 a manager came out and took pictures and said they would definitely take care of this. Now they say I am not covered for termite damage??? WT_ ?? read more

This is by far the worst company I have ever tried to do business with. Not only did they cancel my scheduled service several times without informing me, but I kept getting reassured that the problem wouldn't happen again. I had spoken to Tracie the manager on a few occasions in regards to these issues and lack of communication. Again she told me the problem would be handled and not to worry. After only 1 visit and several schedules being made and changed without my knowledge, I made several calls and put in requests to have a manager call me back. No one has ever got back to me and I canceled my business with them and requested a refund. Nobody ever got back to me so I disputed the charge with my credit card company. They said I never ended my contract so I'm still trying to dispute it. I most definitely canceled my services with them, however they didn't actually cancel my contract until they saw that I was disputing the charge through my credit card company. While they seem to have decent reviews online, I have yet to find one real person that can say they've been satisfied with this company. Please consider any other pest control business other than Orkin. Orkin, you should do the right thing and refund me and at least give me a call back! read more

Horrible service, and monthly service was never completed. I came home one day and found service tech sleeping in his truck because I normally wasn't there. I called and cancelled my service and came back out twice after that. Lawsuit is probable. read more

I called and gave the customer service person my info and what I wanted to have done. She then said because I rent my home I had to have a different department call me to set everything up. She said she would forward my info to them and they would call. It's been a week and no call. Going some place else with my business. read more

The most ridiculous experience I've ever had with a vendor. I had to pay by credit card just to have them come to my house for an estimate. Supposedly the assessment would be done by a bug expert. What showed up was a messy kid that looked right out of high school. His shirt was stain riddled and the company vehicle was old and falling apart. This company is a hot mess! read more

We had an inspector come out to a bank owned property that we are in the process of buying. He gave us a quote of $3,000. We agreed to have Orkin take the job, but there was paperwork to be filled out by Okin for a 203K streamline loan. The paperwork is minimal and I was told by the inspector that Orkin can fill out the paperwork and they would do so by a certain date. I didn't receive the paperwork by the date agreed upon and followed up on two occasions and was assured that I would receive the paperwork shortly. We are now approaching the closing date so I followed up one last time checking on the status of the paperwork and I was told by the inspector that he was too busy and couldn't fill out the paperwork. Now we're 2 weeks behind on our search and the closing date is fast approaching. I called the main number for Orkin to see if they could arrange for someone else to fill out the paperwork. The customer service representative wasn't very polite and after explaining my situation she proceeded to tell me that Orkin can't work with the buying/selling of homes. If only the inspector had checked on this earlier as he noted he was going to we wouldn't be scrambling to find someone. read more
