I had no idea that Orkin sold insulation. A nice gentleman came around to do a free home inspection for me and noticed that the insulation levels in my home were very low. I found out that their insulation is so energy efficient that it qualified for a tax credit. It also actively kills pests that live up there. My bill was very significantly reduced and the value of my home rose. I see fewer pests, breathe cleaner air, and have some extra protection in a fire. The price for all of these benefits was less than I thought it would be. I would happily recommend this service to anyone. The inspector who came to my house was also named Sean. Scammers. The man who actually came out to our house is a nice man, but the products do not work. Waste of money. We bought our own poison and now we spray ourselves. Haven't seen a live insect since. Way cheaper to learn how to do yourself. PLUS you won't have an orkin man randomly showing up at your door unexpectedly asking if you want more treatments. This company is annoying! When we first contacted them. They gave us a price and said what the price would be bi monthly. And if we ever didn't want them to come out. Just let them know. No contract no hidden fees is what she told my husband. Now. They came out twice. Both times. We were still seeing scorpions and centipedes. I worked at a feed store and told my husband. I'm going to purchase this spray that I know is amazing for ALL insects. And to cancel. Well they called my husband and my husband told them no. We are done. He informed me they told him. They are going to charge his debit card anyways. My husband said good luck! They had an old debit card from the bank we used back home. Well they kept calling my husband and he kept telling them no. 4 times he told them no. They called me. I didn't know the number so I didn't answer. And they left a voicemail. I ignored it. Now they just showed up at our door ringing the bell. Waking up one of our twin babies from her nap!!! I answered and said Yeah. He said that the girls have been calling and we don't answer and I came to check. I said bull. My husband has told them 4 times We are cancelling. And then threatened to charge his cc that is already cancelled. Why charge us for no service??? He said well did he say why y'all want to cancel. I said I purchased a chemical. I'm spraying our own boards. And we see nothing. When y'all come we still see pests. So why pay you over 100 bucks and I can get something for 40 that lasts for a year and do it myself? NEVER use Orkin in Abilene, Tx! They're call center, who were super nice quoted me a wonderful price of $77.00 for the first visit and $77.00 for bi-monthly service when we found a mouse. The tech came out and checked our home and wrote up the contract. When I looked at it, it was almost $200.00 for the initial visit and a $500 contract! I spoke with William the Service Manager for this area and he was very insulting and rude, stating that they don't have those prices. When I told him that I record all my phone conversations and that I would be happy to send it to him as proof of the quote he said no and that he wouldn't honor that price anyways even though they had already ran my debit card! The Orkin 877# was great and very understanding and nice but the Abilene office and Service Manager (William) were the most unprofessional and rude businesses I've ever dealt with.
