This is the best of all OIP locations and has been for many years. Lock Haven used to be a close second, but Mill Hall is the place. I ate here 2 out of 4 nights this week and it was nearly perfect. People in Pennsylvania don't know how good they have it!! I moved from PA to NC and down here restaurants don't know how to cook pizza, and they definitely don't know what a real sub roll is!! I love OIP and every time I visit family I get an Italian sub, and sometimes even bring home a couple sub rolls!! There is nothing more perfect than an OIP sub!! This place was awful, please don't come here and save yourself. I'm not sure if it's better some other time but my experience was terrible. To start I had high expectation because I personally love OIP and the service was good but right when we got our waters we instantly regretted coming here. Water tasted like what i would imagine a septic tank would taste like. Then We ordered motz sticks which were also terrible and way too salty. That was bearable but the entree was awful. I ordered 2 pieces of buffalo chicken pizza and the crust was terrible and pizza was cold, must've been made a week in advance for me. Then my family got two buffalo chicken subs and the pieces of chicken were quite literally non existent. Not to mention the ones that were there, were straight rocks. Been going here for over 20 years. Whenever we come back to Pennsylvania we like to get a stromboli or a cheese steak from this place with a Pepsi from the soda fountain. The pizza is good also. Ordered garlic knots and a large pizza 1/2 pepperoni and 1/2 cheese for a table of four. The knots were quickly served piping hot and with a large bowl of sauce. A well timed pizza was delivered to the table shortly after the knots were finished. The server even offered fresh plates with the pizza to replace the app plates. Overall the food was good. The service was adequate. The dining room was clean and well kept. You do need to make your payment at the counter not with the server. read more

I do not recommend stopping by this establishment. We asked for jalapeños on our pizza as one topping and were told that they were only "allowed" to put them on the Tacco pizza. We got fried Zucchi and it tasted dried and possably freezer burnt. Our Hawaiian style pizza tasted spoiled and when we said something about it, our waitress didn't know what to say or do. She said she would be right back so we assumed she went to get the manager but came back and asked if we wanted a box. Though the food is great the wait for it and poor service you get makes it eh not so much on my list. You will normally wait around 45 minutes or longer for your food which We typically order a sub and fries. we have never gotten a refill of our drink even though the glass is empty unless we ask. And it is rare for them to ask if you would like to take the half sub that you didn't eat home with you unless again you ask for wrap. There are times we have finished eating and have waited again about 15 to 20 minutes for the bill to come to the table. The last time We ate here I actually called friends to see if they thought the service had gotten worse and if my service had compaired to theirs and they said they could agree. They now typically go to the one in Lock Haven if they feel the need to eat at OIP. This used to be one of my favorite places to eat in Mill Hall - Lock Haven area. read more

This location of this small, regional chain is convenient to my in-law's house and is their go-to place for take-out pizza. Although their pizza is ok, my opinion in this matter is not really fair since we have multiple options near our house for awesome pizza. The item I like best from OIP and the reason I am writing this review is because their meatball parm is Ahhmazing! The put their sandwiches on a unique homemade bread, their sauce is just chunky enough with great onion flavor, and their meatballs have an excellent texture and herby flavor. Prices are excellent, just like all OIP's. The only disadvantage I find with this particular OIP is, they only serve pasta on Wednesday and Saturday evenings (I think), I do know it's only twice a week. I grew up in Lock Haven, and this is absolutely my favorite restaurant to eat at when I visit home. It is a must stop and I eat in or take out from OIP about once a day when I'm back in Lock Haven. It is that good. My favorite is the meatball parmigiana sub. Their homemade bread is the best. Their pizza is very good too, with great soft, chewy crust, fresh tomato sauce and just the right amount of cheese. In short, the food is well worth the stop, and their service is good. read more

I had their pizza today. It was the worst pizza I have ever eaten. Doughy, undercooked and a lousy sauce. For some reason the OIP in Avis has really good pizza, Must not be the same receipe. Other great places for pizza is Pizza King and Checkers which has a great atmosphere, serves beer and liquor and a great place to watch sports. Skip the OIP in Mill Hall, really stinks. read more

The food was always great, and the bread incredibly awesome, but not worth it for the awful service we received the last time we were in... very sad since it used to be one of our favorite places to eat and now don't even give it a second thought... If your drinks are free refills, you shouldn't have to wait a half hour for the waitress to get off of the telephone with her friend to come refill the drink!!!!! My family and I went there last night for dinner. I order a steak salad, well I didn't know what all was in it. Well it came out with stuff in it I don't eat. I told the server that I couldn't eat it because of the stuff in it. She said "Oh there's not that much of it in there you can just pick it out". Then walked away. Everyone knows even if you take the stuff out the taste is still there. She didn't charge me because I didn't eat it even tho she never did anything about it. When I went up to pay the owner checked me out and asked me how my meal was, I said I don't know I didn't get a chance to eat it. As soon as I said anything the server was right there to say that she didn't charge me. The owner looked on the bill and I wasn't charged so that's all he was concerned about. I even tried to tell him that she refused to take it back, but he didn't listen to anything I had to say at that point. I always thought the customer was right!!! read more

We ordered hoagies from this place 6 months ago..both hoagies had stale rolls and my husband wanted his without lettuce and my daughter without onions.. Both came with everything on it. since we were taking them back to our cabin 25 minutes away we didn't see this until we got back to our cabin to eat them. So we are back in area 3 weeks ago and I told my husband lets try it again so I go in to order them and I order my husbands without lettuce and mine without onions and both Italian hoagies with oil . My husband wanted sweet peppers on his so I told guy 3X sweet peppers and he kept saying green peppers and I said NO..sweet peppers. Needless to say we drive 25 minutes back to our cabin and my husbands has mayonnaise on it and I have NOTHING...so dry plus his has big green peppers..what Italian restaurant doesn't have sweet peppers???? The person checking me out asked how my food was and I told him I was a little disappointed in the grilled chicken salad. One of the owners looked up from her paperwork and rudely said "excuse me", I told her the last time I was there that the salad had cheese and fries on it. She stated that it was never included it was always extra so I was wrong. Well I know what I got last time and I didn't get it this time. Let's just say I could have gotten a steak dinner for that price. It was iceburg lettuce, two slices of cucumber, 2 slices of dried out tomato, two olives and a small piece of grilled chicken. It was soaked with water on the bottom from the diced ring peppers they put on it. One of the worst yet most expensive salads I ever had. If she didn't want to know "how it was" then why ask me? You treat your customers kindly and take into consideration the complaints and make your business better. You don't call your customers liars... I will never go there again. read more
