OFM has been on my radar for ages, and I've been dying to give them a try, but unfortunately I haven't had the opportunity to hunt them down. Luckily, they came to Kerb UCL recently, and I finally got to give them a try. They're famous for their breakfast sandwiches, and I can literally eat breakfast at any time. They also do burgers. And sides of hash browns and fries. Sounds like a dream come true.
I had the original brekkie sandwich, which is basically like a fry-up on a muffin with a fried egg, a massive (and delicious) home-made sausage patty, bacon, cheese and sauce. I also got hash browns on the side. My co-worker thought that it looked amazing as well so opted to get the same as I did.
As soon as I bit into the sandwich I was in heaven. The muffin is super soft and moist. The egg is perfectly cooked with runny bits dripping out once you got to the yolk. And the sausage is brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. They also serve what may possibly be the best hash browns I've ever had. I hope they are homemade because they tasted brilliant. (Or maybe I hope they aren't so I can get them for home.) I literally want them cooking breakfast for me every day. EVERY DAY.
OFM was totally worth the wait. Totally. And I hope to put their sausage in my mouth again soon. Oh, and there's something to be said about a couple of guys serving me breakfast out of a van while they are dressed like they should be in a 1950's American Diner. read more
