However, this time, although the service was good, the tenders were way overcooked (I didn't get any pictures); we threw them away (we took them to our room to eat; otherwise, I would have spoken up!). Stayed several days during a conference at the MGM Grand and ended up trying different food options within the hotel for convenience, including those in their food court. Ended up trying the Original Chicken Tender and ordered their Crispy Chicken Salad. Chicken was indeed crispy, but the amount of chicken was scarce, the size for the price of the salad was extremely disappointing, and the rest of the salad's fixing left a lot to be desired. Service was friendly, but that honestly was the only highlight to that meal. I understand the prices will be elevated being that it's Las Vegas and on The Strip, however, the salad was so underwhelming on several accounts. How do you even really mess up a salad (lol)? If your looking for a great in-between drinking snack and don't want to worry about full service this may be a great option. Don't get me wrong your food won't run too cheap but for all that you get its decent. I opted for Nashville hot however there was not even a hint of spice. Flavorful, hot, fresh and saucy but it's was as spicy as a bellpepper. Once I received my food I honestly was surprised for what all came in the price. A small coleslaw complimented the tenders and added a refreshing taste in each bite. Texas toast on the side to dip along in the excess sauce and the most delicious fries all under about $20 per person can't be beat. My food busted with flavor and was fingerlicking good. I do wish they had spicier sauce options but then again I'm one of many who prefer Caroline reapers and scorpion peppers over the mild taste of ghost peppers . For some the sauce may taste a bit peppery but that is why I included my spice level so not to confuse any of my readers. Friendly and hard working staff. They deserve a mention. The original sauce and honey mustard were perfect with my meal. 3.5 Stars: The MGM Grand Original Chicken Tender is pretty good.    On Valentines Day Sunday which centered a three day weekend leading off the Chinese Lunar New Year 2021 and President's Day; the Las Vegas Strip was back to its happening pre-pandemic days. Unfortunately the restaurant capacity wasn't. On a Sunday when the Boulevard was bumper to bumper and social distancing was challenging; the restaurants were at 25 percent capacity. My brother tried several restaurants from the Fashion Show to the MGM Grand. They were booked up. So, my brother and yours truly set off for the MGM Grand Food Court Nathan's. During the Coronavirus 19 Era, 7 pm now passes for late night dining. Nathan's had just closed. On the contrary, my appetite was open. Landing what seemed to be the last available table on the Las Vegas Strip, it was either the MGM Grand Food Court Johnny Rockets or trying the Original Chicken Tender. We chose the later.      There is very little information on Google regarding the Original Chicken Tender. Although I saw locations in the Venetian and Mandalay Bay, the web site only lists theuxor and MGM Grand locations. I have no clue if this is a food court operation or an established restaurant. What I do know is that the prices went up drastically since the website posted the menu and some of the Yelpers posted pictures.    Located in the MGM Grand Food Court, the Original Chicken Tender is a fast casual restaurant. Customers order and pay at the counter and pick up the food when the beeper goes off.     In my opinion, it is overly pricey for fast food. I paid $12.95 plus tax for a five piece chicken tenders with fries and one original chicken sauce and $3.98 plus tax for what seems to be a twenty ounce drink. It came out to $18.38. Now if they did not run out of coleslaw, I would of paid over $20 for having Cole slaw and Texas toast added on. I know this is the Las Vegas Strip, but still that cannot be an excuse for sky high pricing for fast casual food court food. Up the Boulevard Chick-fil-A charges around $10 for a chicken Nugget meal, In N Out is less than $10, McDonald's charges $10.50 for a large 10 piece Chicken McNuggets Meal, the Venetian Food Court Panda Express is less than $15, a prime rib special in Cafe Hollywood is $14.95, and a Grimaldi's personal pie with a topping and bottomless Coke is around $20. I am not buying this "It's on the Las Vegas Strip" excuse. However what I am buying is food to fill me up.      The five piece chicken tenders with original sauce and fries were better than I expected. What I expected was a generic overpriced yet filling chicken tender. The chicken tenders with the original sauce were flavorful. I really appreciated the crispy coating. Additionally they were cooked just right and were not greasy. These chicken tenders give Raisin Cane's a run for the money.     The man at the counter was pleasant. When I returned to get two new straws because the paper straws had holes in them, he gave zero hassle. He also bestowed my brother with a complimentary refill.    As far as environment it has the MGM Grand Food Court vibe. After serious detheming, the MGM Grand has an okay vibe. Nothing like eating in the Venetian. At the time of our visit, the food court staff was taking social distancing very seriously. With the number of tables I saw closed off, it is convincing that they were at 25 percent capacity. In similar fashion to the rest of the MGM Grand, there were hand sanitizers. Complying with the state directives, everybody was wearing a face mask except when they were drinking and eating.    When all is said and done, I do not see myself returning here for awhile. In my opinion there are far more places on the Las Vegas Strip that I prefer to spend $20 or a few dollars more at. This is not putting down the Original Chicken Tender. When all is ultimately said and done for this review, I rate the Original Chicken Tender as 3.5 Stars: pretty good. read more

Hubby and I were going to pick up our friends from Wet Republic and were informed that some of them needed to sober up. We stopped by the food court and chicken and waffles sounded like it would hit the spot. The man behind the counter was so friendly and we were having a conversation while I was ordering. After a couple of minutes, our food was ready. The chicken tenders were super hot and crispy. It came with a sauce that paired well with the chicken. The waffle didn't have a crispy outer edge which I usually prefer in a waffle, but the taste was so good that I didn't care. There was no syrup on the side, but there was a sprinkling of powdered sugar on the waffle so that gave a nice sweetness to the waffle. Couldn't believe this place was so good. We had the two meals of Groupon for $20. The chicken had the prefect crunchy breading not too much and not too little. Food was at perfect temperature. The bread was moist and the fries were crispy. And all the sauces you could ask for! Especially the orange sauce that you dip with your fries and chicken . So yummy! Make sure to ask for extra. The chicken is amazing but I do have a complaint... you get one small sauce cup. Even with a $20 dollar combo. I wanted an "original" for the tenders and ranch for the fries and it would be an extra 50c. And you find out after you have paid. I understand if I asked for 5 but 2??? After spending 20 bucks? Seems a bit stingy. One cup isn't enough for 3 tenders. And good luck trying to find out who manages the place. The website has no info and very old pricing. I was in need of a quick meal after a long day and there as aass a food court inside MGM where I was staying. I'm not sure this place is a franchise since I have never seen this name before. The cashier who took order was nice. But the food took over 10min when they had no customer before me lol. How? I don't know. Their chicken was soft, and nicely cooked, just what you expect from chicken tenders. Surprisingly their fries were really good as well. My co-worker ordered sweet potato fries and those were delicious too. The dipping sauce they use is a must! Is the price expensive as people say? Hmm yes and no. Honestly, this is probably the best Chicken Tenders I've ever had... they're so fresh and tasty. They're fried perfectly and have a crunchy but soft batter - if that makes sense! They're located inside the MGM Grand Food Court. It closes at midnight so you can't utilize this spot for late night drunk munchies (bummer!) Price is expensive, but so is everywhere else in Vegas... TIP: There are coupons on every single tray in the foodcourt, pick them up and save money here. I believe it's a 50% off and a discounted milkshake. read more

I wasn't even hungry but thought I'd better eat something before heading back up to my room, which might just be a 10-15 minute walk from the food court. We ordered the 5 piece combo which came with 5 tenders, fries, toast, coleslaw, and some type of sauce. The chicken tenders were so moist and delicious on the inside, so light and flaky on the outside. I enjoyed the tenders way too much to even consider dipping them in the sauce. I dipped a fry instead. Delicious! The fries and the sauce!! The coleslaw...well, I wasn't expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised at the crispness of the cabbage, and the perfect balance of sweet and vinegary (if that makes sense). It was just the second best coleslaw I ever tasted in my life, is what I'm trying to say. This platter was pretty pricey, but it may be because it's in the MGM. read more

The chicken tenders were wonderful, unfortunately that's where the good news ends. Customer service was awful, the woman who took the order seemed like she had no idea how to work the register. Food took longer then expected. Asked for well done fries, instead I got what tasted like day old soggy fries, which they didn't even try to make well done. Asked for togo order, was handed a tray, when I asked for a bag, they just dumped the food in sideways, dumping it on the bottom of the bag. This place was in the food court at our hotel in the MGM. One of the many places we had in the food court. How can you go wrong with chicken tenders? I ordered the 3 strip plate which came with a side. It usually comes with fries but I decided to swap those out with the mac and cheese. It added to the price, but I wasn't really feeling fries at the time. The tenders were pretty good. Better than a lot of the ones I've had out there. The chicken was fresh, moist and tender. Where most get it wrong is in the breading. Some can be too hard and dense. The breading on these were great, not too soft or too hard, just right. Which makes chewing easier. The seasoning was good too, I hate when chicken tenders are too salty, but these were also in good proportion. The mac and cheese I got was good as a side and fulfilled my craving, just wish the portion was bigger for it. Overall, a good choice for a quick bit to eat if you are nearby in the hotel. read more
