Scammed out of 20 euros. Paid for a pub crawl around Berlin and was notified at the first pub by the bartender that the crawl was actually cancelled due to not enough people signing up. The guide eventually came to the pub to also apologize in person and talk me through the refund process. The guide said it would only take 2 days to process the refund, however there was never a refund issued. Original Berlin Tours did not respond to my WhatsApp messages and emails, seems like they are disinterested in their reputation. Don't pay for a tour with this company, so many more out there that are better! read more

Original Berlin tours was the worst tour experience I've had in decades. This company simply doesn't care for its clients/guests. And doesn't even bother to pretend. We made a mistake of booking a half-day Berlin walking tour with them earlier this week. We got a confirmation email, including the one an hour before the tour. You m'd think they are organized and professional? Hold your thought. We arrived at the meeting point to find a guide there. She looks at us (2 of us) and says "there are clearly not enough people to make it worth my time. So the tour is canceled". I've never ever had such rude attitude and careless experience to the guests of the city and I've been using similar tour companies for decades across many European cities. Our plans for a 3 day stay in Berlin were messed up, as we had other days already planned and now had to scrambled to find another tour and reschedule things (incl timed museum tickets). And when I emailed the company they literally couldn't care less. Here is the quote from their response "Don't book with us ever again if you don't want, up to you and I won't blame you. But I just don't care" Stay away from them while in Berlin. Don't spoil your experience while traveling. read more

Resume : - Our guide is very unpolite - The place are on the same (not fancy or special) street - The second place is a "American diner" LOL - The free shot are ridiculus - My advice, pass your way.. Review : The tour says 3 bars. The Sanatorium was OK, but nothing special. The second bar however was a joke and the guide told us that the third bar is a shisha bar in the same street.. We expected from the tour to discover places we would not have found on our own. These bars are in the same street and nothing original Berlinish and we did not felt like spending money in bars we do not even enjoy. We went to Kreuzberg on our own and had a very nice evening even though it ennoid us a lot to have spent 10€ basically for nothing. We expect a pub tour from an association called original tours something more original than an American diner and a shisha bar. read more

My family joined the Original Free Berlin Alternative Tours today. We were late because we have trouble finding the meeting place. Lucky we ran into the group on our way there. The funny part was the group had to walked back to the train station where we got off the train. Not sure why didn't they set the meeting place for this tour near the train station instead. The tour was very informative and it's definitely a nice alternative to the other Berlin history tours. It was interesting to walk through different neighborhoods and learned about street arts and life style in Berlin post Berlin Wall era. Our guide seems very passionate about street art and has great knowledge of it. She also has a nice sense of humor and made the tour fun. I will definitely recommend this tour. Couple suggestions is to have the meeting place closer to the train station at some easy recognizable landmarks. Also we spent some time for some of the participants to get their train tickets. This should have been mentioned in the email confirmation so people will come prepared. Overall we had a great experience and will definitely attend their other tours. read more
