One of Pittsburg's better kept secrets. It wasn't terribly busy at noon on a Saturday so I was a little apprehensive. But, it was a great place to eat. Service is friendly and quick. The buffet was phenomenal. More choices than I have seen on most buffets. And it wasn't jist your standard broccoli beef and sweet n sour chicken. They had steamed mussels, shrimp, even crayfish. Was happy yesterday just to get what i felt was good chinese food in Pittsburg. But after talking to the friend I shared with last night, and after having the leftovers I feel I need to make a correction. I didnt have the buffet. I ordered a do go dinner. The pepper beef was probably cooked fresh. But the chicken chow mein was likely taken from the buffet line. There was a noticeable difference in the crunch of the veggies in the pepper beef (crunchy) and the chow mein was mostly (90%) celery and it was not crunchy. So they likely cooked the pepper beef fresh but took the chow mein from the buffet which we saw employees come out and fill containers as we waited for the order. The food was still good, but not sure i like idea of filling a cook to order dinner partially or fully from a buffet line. Dropping to 2 stars as a result. read more

This place is awful and over priced. Chicken was tough and chewy if it wasn't just deep fried batter with sauce added. The cups had soap scum on them. And everything was very bland and tasted like it had been in the freezer for way too long. I don't know that I would feed this to my dog. However their fried potatoes weren't terrible. The owner here is super greedy! I used to buy their peppered squid and we drive 45mins for it. The first time we ordered it, they charged us $12/order. The 2nd and 3rd time(she remembered us this time) she charged us $14. I was ok with the $2 price change. Today we drove from JOPLIN only to be told that it is $20!!! What the heck?? This is a good Chinese buffet. They offer great tasting food and a wide range of it. A sushi bar in the back is putting our average sushi but the option is nice. Ice cream for dessert. Clean and nice restaurant. Overall, my experience was great for a buffet. My only concern was why there wasn't more people there. I leave never knowing because I enjoyed my entire meal. read more

After opening, I didn't notice a big change with their previous restaurant, the food is the same except they have an item that changes every day or so. This buffet really deserves the 5 stars! The food is always fresh, the owner is very kind along with the staff. I've been there plenty of times and have never gotten sick or felt ill leaving the restaurant. Very delicious, fresh choices to choose from. Oh, and great sushi! Besides the stale fishy food and horrible decor, after three plates they give you the check and hover around your table so you'll leave. I'm not even kidding, we had one waiter literally sit in the booth behind us and take our plates as soon as we stood up. The staff is extremely pushy, and it's very awkward at times. They glare at you every time you walk back to your table with a plate. I don't know if they think you're taking too much food, but it's very unprofessional and uncomfortable. They also act very strange when you go to the sushi bar. It's almost like putting a dish in the sink when someone's doing dishes. You almost feel like you're stealing when you go here. This was very disappointing. They mess up even the easiest things (lo mien had way to much soy, chicken breadings were soggy, the sweet&sour was almost sticky sweet, even the pudding was gritty). My fiancé had every sushi on the bar, the only "meat" in any of them was pre-cooked imitation crab; he said they were almost all terrible. The only thing they seemed to do right were the ice cream, jello, and drinks. The bathrooms were gross, I didn't want to use them at all.
