I love coming to this place. It's a little out of the way from me but not enough to stay away for too long. If you love instant ramen like I do and want to sample different ones, this market has a huge variety. They also have a great selection of snacks from different Asian countries but mainly Korea. They have all kinds of steam buns and all the fixings to make traditional ramen at home if you want to give it a go. The prices have raised a bit since I first started going here but it's not unreasonable yet. Also! They give away little yogurt drinks when you check out. Very cool! read more

One of the nicer Asian markets around, it's a little bit of a drive for me but is willing to do it every now and then! It's mainly a Koran market, have so much different meats, I love the marinated meats in the freezer, stock up on those and pick up some sides and there you go! Delicious dinner. Overview: I guess if you live out in Weston, FL far far away from where most Asian grocers (if any, in South Florida), then I guess you have no choice but to call this place your godsend. I come from Pleasant Hill, Duluth GA where there are almost 6 Asian supermarkets 5 times the size of this one competing against each other, so I'll be gentle and give you the objective deetz about my visit. Their dry goods and sauces are A plus- so good thing is, you can flavor and cook your Asian food super well as long as you load up on these sauces here. The produce is a little underwhelming in selection, price, and freshness. Otherwise, if you need your fix of the correct rice, vinegars, sauces, condiments, etc then you'll be fine to come here. I give this a 3.5/5 leaning to a 4 star, since in terms of selection, they aren't bad for a South Florida grocer. Sauces- I guess, as long as you have the right sauces, you can make any veggie/meat dish pop to get the right flavors. So in this sense, this store gets a 5/5 for selection and price of their ponzus, soba sauce, oyster sauce, etc sauce. Dried goods- they have an impressive selection of dried noodles- and grains and rice. I guess non perishables is this store's main hold. 5/5 on noodles Produce- over priced for my liking- but I guess if you have a monopoly over the Asian places, and to minimize cost of fresh produce wastage, then it makes sense why they have such a tiny selection here. I heard their kimchi is excellent though. Fish/seafood- good in the frozen selection. Prices- honestly, besides the prices on the fresh produce, the prices on the sauces, dried noodles, and condiments are kinda hard to beat. They are cheaper than Lucky or other markets in Ft. Lauderdale that I've seen. It's just a pity that people in S. FLorida have to drive so far to get good Asian food or groceries. read more

Went there for the first time to buy some Korean snacks and some Japanese drinks because i was getting tired of having to order Asian snacks online, like Amazon, went there and the cash register lady was soooooo nice she deserves a huge tip or anything rlly , will definitely go there again . One thing I wouldn't recommend buying is the onion ring chips there alright but they are not that great to me.... But in the end I ate it, because it's not good to waste food unnecessarily. read more

This is my preferred oriental market. It has mostly Korean products but also carries a lot of Japanese and Chinese products as well. It has a wide variety of choices in every section. They are always running different sales and specials from week to week. My fav sections are of course the snack, the frozen section, and the produce. There is plenty of parking and the staff is helpful. read more

Such a wide selection of items to chose from. They had all the snacks and frozen treats I missed from when I visited South Korea, giving me a great sense of nostalgia. The store is large and super clean, with very nice employees. The cashier was so sweet and gave me two yogurt drinks when I was done checking out. I always enjoy coming here. The store is pretty small, but it's also well organized and stocked with a good variety of products. I've never been here when it was very busy, but I would still recommend trying to stop by early in the day so you can shop while the shelves are well stocked. Also, if you're the type of person who just goes to an Asian store for snacks, then don't sleep on the freezer sections. Near the produce section is a little refrigerated area with cold coffee and pastries from a nearby bakery. And the freezer area also has a lot of snack cakes, ice cream, and other desserts along with premade frozen food. read more

This place is amazing, they have a wonderful freezer section with meals on the go or just simple things to bring home; they have so many seasonings and spices to cook even a section with kitchen items but I have to say my favorite is definitely the snacks and drinks they sell specially the melon juice or coconut coffee it's delicious. It's all decent priced which is great and I've only been here twice since I moved in the area and I can see myself coming here weekly for sure! read more

Came here yesterday after searching for some time for an Asian market. I was torn between here and another place but found this to be closer to home. The pictures are what got me super interested in coming in to see whats in store. I felt like a kid in a candy store if I must say myself, Asian cuisine is one of my favorite cuisines to cook and only right way is to have authentic products from none other than an asian market. The biggest let down is how expensive everything is in store. They sell all my favorite products but most prices arent right. I only bought the jjangmeyon noodles, fish sausage corndog and rice cakes. Now the noodles were at a good price but would be better had it been a five pack not four. I think i got played out by the corndogs because first off no count was on the package and second when I opened it i saw four and they were miniature. 8.99 for 4 tiny bite sized corndogs is a huge rip off. The rice cakes were a good price so I cant complain because its a big package. I definitely will come back soon again but honestly wish the prices would be better because id buy a lot. read more

If you normally feel uncomfortable at an Asian grocery store this one is probably the best starting point! Asian grocery stores are usually dirty/dusty, a little dark, and you can just slightly smell the fish throughout the whole store. Not Oriental Mart! I can't believe with the few Asian grocery stores in South Florida this is one of the few that is not cramped, dark, and smelly. I live in Pompano Beach and I'll make this drive past many other Asian grocery stores any day for Oriental Mart. However the prices are slightly higher. Not terrible but noticeable. Hopefully this means better quality food and no freezer burned items like many other oriental stores in the area. Lots of Korean goods and many other Asian brands that I'm used to. I've never gotten anything bad here unlike other Asian grocery stores. Don't me started on the sauce aisle! Can't wait to give some new sauces a try in my Instant Pot. read more

I went there to buy kimchi. The store is way larger than I expected and I didn't have the time to explore. Add to that no knowledge of Korean language so much of the experience was lost on me. The variety and scope of available products was a bit overwhelming for me. Everyone was very helpful when I had any questions. I also brought a bowl of instant ramen soup. Good! I returned recently for more kimchi. I plan to keep visiting and exploring this store. read more

I love Korean food and I can't find anything in my city, so I drive here once in a while. My picky husband didn't like their kimchi but I love it. We also always get the kimbap (rolls). Also a great place to stock up on some Japanese groceries. They have my favorite natto that comes with plum sauce. I could also only find my favorite Vermont curry cubes here. They also have a few selections of dashi (soup stock) powders, not just the ajinomoto kind, which is nice. Lots of oden ingredients in the freezer aisle. Workers here are nice too! read more

I found this via yelp, and it was VERY cool to experience! It's a cultural experience that anyone can enjoy! After reading reviews of another similar market, I had mixed expectations. I first expected seeing a lot of food I wouldn't eat, thinking it would be a needle in the haystack to find a single thing I'd like to eat. I also thought that it would have a strong smell that wouldn't be appealing. Neither one of those are true with my experience. Expecting a smell, my brain was looking for one. After being there a minute, it smelled and looked completely sanitary. I found tons of food I never heard of and would love to try, but focused on candies, that's what I ended up leaving with. Their green-tea flavored kit-kat bars are awesome! They offer plenty of frozen meats and seafood that were appealing, and a lot of other meals or snacks that were bizarre but in an awesome way. I can't wait to come back and plan to cook a full meal from food they offer. Everything they offer from produce to their household goods are amazing looking. I went today and it was great! I've been searching for an Asian grocery store that wasn't a 30 minute drive away for some time because it's a lot cheaper compared to ordering the ingredients on Amazon. I walked in and there was such a wide variety of items and the workers were really helpful when I had questions. The prices were actually a little cheaper than what I was expecting too. It was mostly Korean food items but there were some Japanese and Filipino items as well. They had a small produce/refrigeration section with things like Daikon, Napa cabbage, tofu, emoji mushrooms, bean sprouts, shiritaki noodles, kimchi, kimbap etc. there's also a good frozen section with different treats and quality meats (including sashimi grade seafood. It is an honest to goodness Korean Market, similar to what you would find in LA Koreatown, or even Korea for that matter. The highlights for me are: The locally made HUGE glass jars of Kimchee. These are of various sizes, and they have both Napa, Poki and Radish. Boxes, I mean BOXES of NongShim Bowl Noodle. Every flavor! Do not forget your NongShim Spicy Shrimp Crackers. NongShim is my favorite brand, but they have every kind of oriental noodle you could want! Bulgogi Meat ready to marinate, AND pre-marinated bulgogi meat. Yes you too can prepare your own bulgogi at home, with an electric grill! They have Kalbi, and Pork Bulgogi too WOW! Yakult clone called Maeil Biofeel. It is in the frozen section. ATTN MGMT: Please bring us Yakult. They will give you a free bottle of Maeil Biofeel at checkout. It is a yogurt milk drink with probiotics very popular in Korea, try one & you will be hooked. Every kind of Bulgogi, and Galbi marinade / sauce on the planet! Pork, Chicken, Beef, you name it they have it. Korean rice by the sackful (I prefer Han Kuk Mi) but they have Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, Thai and more! Stuff you can only find in Korea, like Bacchus-D, Lotte Sac Sac grape & orange (I buy these by the case), Korean Rice Wines & Beer, and Korean cooking gadgets, and Home Appliances. In addition to the above, anyone who likes to do their own Wok cooking has to come to Oriental Mart for their needs, they have a dizzying variety of soy sauces, rice vinegars, spices, ginger purees, korean red chili pastes, oils like sesame and wok oils. Very organized and cleaned Asian supermarket with wild selection of all things you need from seafood, meat, vegetable, snack, sweet, drink, skincare product, kitchenware, and much more! The store is bright and clean. My favorite sections are the ice cream and the Banchan (Korean side dish). Most of the stores sell the ice cream by box so if I want more than one kind, I will have to end up buying 2-3 boxes...which happen all the time ;) Here they sell it individually so I can mix them and I can try everything!!! Most importantly I don't have to worry about expired snack on shelf like other Asian market. They don't take American Express, so keep that in mind! They have a vast selection of frozen octopus, dim sum, and fish, their freezer section is huge. They also have a ton of stuff I have never seen before and most of it is marked in English and the corresponding Asian language. They have edamame and mochi, which is great! I went here to buy spring roll wrappers b/c all the "normal" supermarkets only carry the wonton wrappers. There's a whole aisle of different Asian sauces/condiments, rice vinegar and soy sauce aplenty here, an aisle devoted to different noodles, half an aisle that contains more brands of bread crumbs than I ever knew existed, and another whole aisle that has the Asian equivalent of cup 'o noodles soups! This aisle actually made me laugh. They also have a huge selection of pork belly and short ribs. It's not very big, I was under impressed with the produce section for sure, but it still took me quite a while to walk through mostly b/c I had never encountered items such as these for purchase. I live all the way in Boynton, and despite the 45-50min drive, I make my way to this place at least 2x a month, if not more. I always overspend, and I always feel like I'm forgetting something... ;) By far my favorite Asian grocer in Florida. I don't know what I'd do without it, thanks to the products they have available, I have been able to explore Korean cuisine more than ever. It's very clean, well-organized, and the prices are great. Scoping out at least 6 other Asian Markets, I find myself drawn to a place I've past numerous times and should now regret doing so. At first glance, you would believe that this shopping plaza was deserted. Park and walk through the double-doors and you will find yourself in a different wonderland. Right off the bat, the store is filled with a garlic smell that I have no idea of its origin. Unlike other Asian markets, the smell is not overpowering while shopping, already making it superior to the others I've been to. Scanning each aisle yields a variety of everything from frozen goods to drinks to store-made kimchi. I said store-made kimchi, which I consider the greatest I have tried period. All other items were extremely fresh, especially their produce. The aisles are also insanely clean, and the variety is high with this market! My purchases ended with a free yogurt drink (delicious), rounding out the best Asian market experience I have had yet. I will be returning. I'll run out of kimchi soon!!! read more

There are many oriental marts in South Florida but this one should be called "Korean Mart" more than anything. There's no place else that I know of where you can find that much of an abundance of Korean groceries. What I like most about the store is that they have hot Korean food like kimbap, japchae, and ddeokbogi. Much cheaper than going to the restaurants nearby and much more convenient than making it yourself. hehe What I don't like the over-priciness. It really makes you hesitate if you want to buy what you're going to buy. Then again I'm spoiled by all the west coast supermarkets like H-Mart and Zion. You can't find some groceries anywhere else, so I supposed this gives them the monopoly in the market. Leaving on a good note, they give you free yogurt drinks when you check out. My number one reason for coming here was to see their soju collection. They only carry one brand: Nari Joa. No Jinro or Chamisul. :( However! Their yogurt drinks, also the one and only brand they carry is cheap and tasty. So it worked out since I could make yogurt soju. Their liquor collection is pretty limited in general though. The supermarket itself is huge, well stocked, and very clean. Tons of frozen goods, all the taiyaki ice creams you would want, sauces, oils, vinegars, and dried goods. Fresh vegetables are pretty limited but the kimchi is plentiful. Prices are very reasonable! Parking is a plenty. The more you buy the more little yogurts they will give you as a thank you gift. read more

I'm finally getting around to a review after coming here once a week for at least a year - oops! Honestly, I absolutely love this shop. It is SO much cleaner and nicer than many other Asian markets I have been to (and I do feel like I've been to almost all of them in the South Florida area!). My usual must-haves from them are their home-made kimchi, various marinades, frozen dumplings, oils, syrups, and snacks. I've tried some of their marinated meats in their freezer section (the spicy pork bulgogi and regular beef bulgogi) and both were delicious! Their homemade banchans are also delicious. Know also that they make fresh food (korean fried spicy chicken, Japchae, soups etc) on the weekends! The people who work here are super friendly, as well, overall an excellent shop that I hope will remain open forever, as nowhere else really helps me get my Korean food fix! Seemed like i was on the hunt for decent market today ..went to 3 different places and almost gave up until i stepped foot in here. It's a pretty big market. Here you can find ready made food like sushi, asian buns / pastries, and other small eats. There is fresh produce, a section where you can find items for your home (face cleansers, plates, utensils, knick knacks, etc), a huge frozen section with seafood & meats , aisles of chips-candy -snacks, and condiments /sauces. Basically anything that you are looking for they probably have. The prices aren't bad either. There was a ton of sale items. The Pocky was on sale. .. buy 1 get 2 FREE! Of course i had to get a couple. The staff was very nice and the store was very clean and shelves were well kept. This market is about a 30mn drive for me but I would go back and i definitely recommend checking it out. I also thought that it was nice that they gave customers one of those asian probiotic drinks with your purchase. It brought me back to my childhood. read more

Nice little market for our Korean cravings. Easily found everything I was looking for except for one item. Since everything is written in Korean we had to ask a lady who was stocking the shelves. She seemed really annoyed to the point she told us the item was out of stock. Guess what, after finishing our round we actually found the item. Went here this afternoon to purchase some items to give as a gift for a friends teenage daughter. The market is spacious, very clean and filled with a variety of asian groceries. My only issue was the lack of customer service. It does not hurt to say hello or thank you to your customers. It seemed as though i was a bother to him. Maybe he was having a bad day.
