She came into my mess of a room and saw immediately what needed to be done. She got to work and was literally on her hands and knees cleaning my closet floor with a cloth (after organizing and helping me get my closet into shape)She is quick and efficient and provides you with tools and advice as to how to keep things up when she leaves. She looked at my bedroom and immediately suggested getting rid of the couch that was basically a clothes holder and replacing it with a dresser. This was life changing... for the first time I in my life I am able to follow an organization system and keep my room neat. In addition she takes the stuff you want to donate and the trash away for you!!!!! Best thing I did for myself in 2025 was to hire Maureen!!!!!!!!

During the time we worked together, I didn't feel pressured to throw too much away, but empowered to let things go knowing that they will be useful to someone somewhere else, recycled, or that I simply didn't need all of the things--in other words, there is freedom in letting go. I highly recommend working with Maureen, The Organizing Diva! P.S. I've been on Yelp for 16? Years... this is my first review.

But all our married friends told us we were wrong and needed one. Now, we understand and are so happy to have hired Erin. Our wedding was super DIY and everything would not have come together so wonderfully without her. Erin juggled countless roles working 11.5 hours the day of the wedding to make sure everything went perfectly. She set-up our entire ceremony and reception space. For example, we handed her a pile of glass bottles and grocery stores flowers along with a rough sketch of what we wanted, and she turned that into these stunning centerpieces. She also coordinated with our various vendors throughout the day -- making sure they arrived on time and had everything they needed. During the wedding itself, Erin was toiling away behind the scenes to make sure everything ran smoothly. She queued our ceremony music, directed guests during dinner, coordinated clean-up, and so much more. Erin has a great work process for making sure she has all the detail she needs the day of the wedding. All of that planning and organization enabled us to relax and just enjoy our wedding day knowing she had it handled. We wanted someone who would come in to execute our detailed vision, and Erin did that beautifully. However she's also able to help brainstorm and help organize the planning process if that's what you need. Hiring Erin was easily one of the best decisions we made and worth what we spent a million time over.

I hesitated to write this review because on the whole Erin worked very hard on my daughter's…read morewedding. My initial assessment was that she was doing a great job. And much of what she did do was terrific and impressive. She's very organized and very energetic. I have concerns about recommending her however. She had some erratic behavior during the wedding as well as a weird inflexibility to adjust schedules or alter plans as it became clear they weren't working. The best examples: At one point I came up behind her during the dinner and touched her arm to get her attention. She spun around and yelled 'don't touch me'. This wasn't a #metoo moment. This was one woman lightly touching another woman on the shoulder. It was beyond an inappropriate response. It was abnormal. The ceremony and dinner went much more quickly than we had planned. People were done eating and at 8:00 they were just sitting, the party was losing energy with just quiet DJ music. Time for our band to start. I asked her to have them come out and start playing. She refused. Her stated reason being that 'the schedule' had them for 8:30. She claimed that the musicians were eating. I went and found them sitting and doing nothing, they were happy to play. (Even declining offered extra pay for the additional 30 minutes) Erin was clearly irate, whether at the usurpation of her authority or because she couldn't handle a change, I don't know but again, odd behavior and certainly not in the best interests of a fun wedding celebration. A third example. The ceremony took place outdoors facing a beautiful pond and garden. At the walkthrough the evening before, it became clear that the spot that had been selected months before and which Erin had marked out on the grass would result in the guests staring directly into the sun. It seemed obvious and a no-brainer that we wouldn't want to have people squinting and uncomfortable. I expected her to say 'oh no, you're right, let's figure this out'. Instead she just kept repeating 'this is what was planned, this is what was planned, it can't be changed, it can't be changed.' This was an especially ridiculous response in that the situation was easily remedied with only a slight movement of location and angle. I was fairly shocked that her immediate response was not one of problem solving, but rather intractability and irritation. I offer my experience with her as I saw it. I want to be completely fair because she did work very hard and overall did a very good job. She is clearly very competent but I did see things that were troubling.

As a senior citizen, I find those tasks which would have been easier for me when I was younger more challenging. After 44 years of accumulating a variety of clothing in Boston, I needed to downsize. The idea of sorting and organizing 18 full bags of clothing by myself was daunting. Lead organizer Gloria met me and helped me go through those bags in record time (2 hours). I wouldn't have believed it possible. She was professional and compassionate. I ended up keeping two bags of clothing and she took away the rest in her car and arranged for them to be properly donated. Organizing Boston also sent me a receipt for the bags of items that I had donated. Professional efficiency combined with compassion was my experience in working with every aspect of Organizing Boston. What I thought would be a nightmare Gloria told me was fun for her. She definitely made it easy for me. I would highly recommend this group.

Have you watched Hoarders before? Occasionally there are people who used to be tidy and organized…read moreand then something traumatic happened in their lives and they transformed into hoarders. Well, I had a similar experience to a much, much, much lesser extent. After life punched me in the face, I let go of my hyper-organized, neat self for a few months and just let mess and chaos consume me. When I picked myself up, I looked at my room and just didn't even know where to begin. I realized I had wandered into uncharted territory of mess that I've just never experienced. Enter Pat. She came in and swiftly assessed my situation and got to work right away. When I got sidetracked, she put me back on focus. I thought I would have trouble throwing things out but I actually didn't. I really just needed someone to help me and provide moral support and Pat wonderfully did that. Can I be honest? The best part is that she folded all my clothes! She also helped me rearrange my room in a way that would optimize space efficiency and gave me a few pointers on how to store things. Storage is a challenge in my room. I'm knocking off one star only because I think it's a bit pricey for what I was looking for. If you are someone who is generally organized and just needs a little help, I would recommend scoping out your options for pricing. In the Boston area, it seems like her her hourly rate is standard, but there are some who have lower minimum hourly bases, some who offer discounts, and some who have lower rates all together. Those who have lower rates tend to have less experience and credentials, but I think I would've been okay with that. With that said, if you need help with a large project or is someone who has struggled with organization, I would totally recommend her. She is definitely very pleasant to work with and takes her time in explaining everything and answering all your questions. My positive interactions with her over the phone was what ultimately won me over, even though price wise she was the most expensive on my life.

From the moment I spoke to Pat Bernabei I felt at ease with the enormous tasks at hand. My elderly mother, who was not able to get settled into her new home until her furniture, dishes and clothes arrived, had been anxiously awaiting to start her new life in Massachusetts. Pat immediately had everything under control, including staying on top of the moving company as the truck made its way across the country. We needed to get my mother unpacked as quickly as possible. On move-in day, Pat was our designated point person and organized the unpacking like the pro she clearly is. Miraculously, all was unpacked and put away in a single day! And Pat even cleared away the boxes so there was no clutter in the new apartment. Pat also took the initiative of sending to the moving company a picture of a dresser they had damaged during the move. She is simply on top of it all! For anyone needing to get organized, for anyone needing to help a senior citizen move to another city or state, Pat of Sort it Out is the answer to all your worries. She will get it done and it will be done perfectly.
