They were respectful & kind to us & each other, used clean language, got along with each other & joked around while still being professional. And they worked hard & fast! They were constantly moving, took care of our items & paid extra attention to items we were concerned about. After loading up, we fed them lunch. They were gracious & expressed gratitude for how TOS Academy had changed their lives & given them hope & purpose. They drove two hours to our new home & unloaded everything quickly & efficiently. I often saw them running to & from the truck, even though it meant going up & down a steep driveway & lots of stairs. They even put up bed frames & other items. It was a long, physical day for them. There was a bit of a snafu with their arrival time but when they arrived, they got immediately to work. They loaded and boxed and wrapped furniture, along with packing the big things I couldn't. They were loaded by lunch time, took a lunch break and arrived at my new location ready to go. The second location had steps and they all took turns getting things upstairs. They placed a big cabinet inside the very large closet of one bedroom, which was a great idea and took up less floor space in the bedroom. They were done about 4 hours later. Through the whole process, everyone was cheerful, hard working and thorough. If I ever have to move again, and I pray that I won't, I would choose them again in a heartbeat.

They called me the day before to let me know their plan for picking up the Uboxes and bringing them to my apartment. They showed up early and were already backed up to my gate with the Uboxes open and ready to start loading. They scheduled my move for two hours and finished in one hour! They carefully wrapped all of my furniture in moving blankets and packed my stuff into the boxes so that the next movers, who will be moving me into my new apartment in a new city, won't have any issues. I was so nervous about the moving process and these guys made everything feel so easy and stress-free. They went above and beyond and I would recommend them to anyone and everyone!

We were extremely impressed with how easily they handled every piece of furniture, several heavy boxes, and various heavy items. I would strongly caution anyone considering using Helping Hands Movers and Maids…read more After my move, one of their movers contacted me the following day to say a box had been accidentally left in the truck overnight. He returned it the next day. Unfortunately, that box contained a chest with several dozen silver rounds and 64 vintage Mexican pesos (high silver content) with both significant monetary and sentimental value, as they were given to me by my late father. When the chest was returned, the Mexican coins were no longer inside. Additionally, during the move, members of the crew repeatedly asked if they could keep items I was moving. That is highly unprofessional and raised concerns for me even before discovering the missing contents. I treated the crew well and tipped them generously, which makes this situation even more disappointing. At a minimum, this reflects extremely poor chain-of-custody practices and a lack of accountability for customer property. I would strongly advise anyone using this company to avoid placing any valuables in their care and to thoroughly inventory all items before and after the move.
