This is highly important if you are non-white person who is considering professional skin treatments. I first went to Dedra for treatment in September of 2017 to help even the texture and complexion of my skin. She assessed my skin and deduced that I would see improvements in three months with regular treatments. She also worked with me to develop a specialized skin regimen. She told me which products to stop using and which ones to incorporate in my routine. Though Dedra sells PCA and Dermalogica products in her office, she never pushed any of them on me. She recommended products that I could pick up fro Target and the grocery store that were just as effective. When I felt I needed products with concentrated ingredients she advised on which products from her Dermalogica and PCA inventory would work best for my skin. Most people would try to sell you as many products as possible. Dedra informed me of all the ingredients in the products she selected for me and let me know how they interacted with each other. By December 2018, my skin drastically improved thanks to my home regimen and monthly treatments. I continue to see Dedra each month to maintain my progress and improve other areas. Dedra uses the latest and verified skin care treatments. Her workspace and equipment is meticulously cleaned and sanitized. I spend at least five minutes with Dedra reviewing my skin progress. If she believes I am ready for an advanced treatment she will advise me on how to prepare (not to shave, avoid certain creams and lotions, avoid excessive sunlight) for the whatever product or instrument she will use. When turning in to the complex it is residential condos, but rest assure by making your way to the first tower you will find. There is NO sign until you pull up to a main door entry. I spoke with them on the phone to make an appointment for my son. They accommodated him quickly. I then had to call for directions a few times. Everyone was kind and helpful. When still unsure of location the owner Dominic came out the door to confirm. He provided instructions on parking. Look for visitor/open parking. There are reserved resident parking Once inside my son was introduced to Nancy, an older woman. The clientele is mostly retired women that live in the community. However, Dominic would love to dispel that. They are open to anyone in the community and traveling like us. Only caveat is to call for appointment, they are not walk-in. Nancy worked with my son to accomplish what he needed prior to a swim meet today. She was terrific to work with and completed a nice cut in 15 minuets, or so. Price $15 for child. It's in a shopping center so there's plenty of parking outside of her shop. Her place is located in a hair gallery type set up where in the building there are individual salons in each of the rooms. Hers is easy to find as it is the first one when you walk in. Elsa was very nice when I came in and you can tell she put a lot of work in her decor. I was instructed that I needed to wear a mask ahead of time and she conducted a temperature check upon entry. The space is very clean, as she allows time between appointments to clean her shop. I went in for a regular wash and cut and she listen to what I wanted and the results were great. She also recommended how to book in the future, which was very helpful. It was very easy to book my appointment through Instagram and I received a confirmation email promptly after booking. I will definitely be coming back to Elsa's shop again soon!
