First time rafting. We booked the lower Clackamas rivet tour. The staff was friendly from the moment we got there. All the gear was provided. Talked us through safety before we got onto the river. Very knowledgeable about the area and river. We will be booking again when in Oregon. Thank you for a great experience.

Such a wonderful and amazing experience. Firstly, we miscalculated our travel and were late. They were nothing but kind and considerate and were very understandable and waited for us. OUR GUIDE: We had Reid as our guide and he was awesome!!! He was incredibly knowledgeable and great at explaining things., He even went into some detail about CFS which the unit used to describe the volume and speed of water. He explained it in a very tangible and clear way so we could visualize and understand. He told stories of some of his experiences in deadly rivers and techniques he used to survive. He would even explain in detail certain situations in rapids we would be heading into soon. On some rapids he would explain all the different things that could happen depending on how we maneuvered and if other raft were involved, etc. It was great to learn to much we felt like we were given a glimpse into the white water rafting community. He was so much fun he had tons of games and ways to make the trip even more enjoyable. We played a balancing type game while in calm water where someone would stand up on the end of the raft and everyone would spin the raft to try to force the person stand to fall off. Another game was having someone straddle the front the raft like they were riding a bull while we went through a rapid and putting people that don't want to get wet in spots where they'll get soaked. There was even a photo shoot where he organized a funny photo where we all looked like we were attacking each other. It's the little things that we really appreciate. Such a fun tour guide that made our experience so much better. VALUE: We booked the half day trip on the lower Clackamas river. And boy was it a sight to behold. So much beauty it was so much to take in while trying to survive the rapids. Through the trip there was a photographer taking pictures throughout the 6 hour trip. Afterwards we were able to buy a flash drive with all the photos on it. Cost around $40 a believe which was a great deal for all the pictures they took. We were given lunch at about halfway. All delicious healthy food, with a few sweet exceptions, that kept us energized and ready for the other half. (Chicken sandwiches, PB&J, carrots, hummus, cookies). Everything was about $100 per person for our party of 6. Which wasn't bad for how long we were out on the river. OVERALL: 10/10 such an awesome company and team! Would recommend it to anyone! Definitely want to come back and do a multi day trip!

Our instructors were Rose and Margot; both were extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and patient! They even helped me when I fell into the water (yeah, I'm not embarrassed to admit it... I totally fell in the water, haha!). It was totally my fault but both were quick to help me and they did such a great job not making me feel bad about it. Helpful Tips: * If you're taking a class, know that the kayak, the paddle and the life vest are provided. * If you plan to bring your phone with you on the kayak, make sure to bring an airtight bag to keep your phone in it. We had one already but I saw that they sold them in their store, too! Oh, and it's worth mentioning... the company was very understanding even though we arrived five minutes late (our GPS turned us around and we got lost heading to the class). Of course, try your best to avoid being late, but it was great knowing they were understanding about it. It made us feel extremely comfortable! My wife and I are definitely coming back!

He did a great job correcting our strokes. It was clear he had the knowledge of the sport as well as the understanding to be able to offer corrective feedback. I have a service dog and they showed great flexibility in working with me and my dog in and out of the water. It was well worth the money. Overall, my experience with Alder Creek was phenomenal.

Crazy rain storm moved in and a severe thunderstorm warning was issued for Clackamas County during the time we were supposed to be on the river. When I called five hours before we were supposed to launch to ask what their plan was, they said they'd let us know only 15 minutes before we were supposed to arrive. My friends and I all live a decent drive away and felt that notice was insufficient. And in general, we felt that approach was unsafe since the storm was expected to last right up to our departure time. National Weather Service showed the warning would expire only 20 minutes before our set departure time. The woman on the phone told me she heard the storm was going to be over four hours before that. When I asked where she heard that, she literally said her phone's weather app and her mom. (I should have asked who her mom was!) *eye roll* Idk, this wasn't like, "it's raining a little and I don't want to paddle" kind of last-minute cancellation. This was a potentially very dangerous situation and this company chose profits over people. They wouldn't even issue me a credit when I explained we felt unsafe paddling under those conditions, and that we wanted to know about the plan in a more reasonable timeframe. It's really a shame because I was excited to go out with them. They lost my business for life.

I was very nervous, as I'm a wimp and haven't rafted in about 15 years. They outfitted us in helmets, wetsuits, and booties. Mike J (MJ) was our guide, and one of the other employees told us we got their best guide. Mike was extremely patient and explained everything in detail. He showed us how to stay in sync and how to go down the Class V waterfall, Husum Falls. Larry in the kayak followed behind us to save us in case we fell out. Luckily, we didn't, thanks to our awesome guide. The waterfall is optional, and they gave us a lot of prep for it (there's a special stance for going down). We even got out of the raft and went up on a bridge so we could watch kayak Larry go down the falls. Mike told us it's the only rapid of its kind in North America. We had to go down; I couldn't miss out! We went down, no one went overboard, although two of us hit our heads on something. Still worth it. The trip was totally exhilarating for the first half, and calm nature-watching for the last portion. The waterfall marked the half point. During the first half, Mike was all business trying to prevent us from dying. We could relax a bit more during the second half, and he gave us some history about the area and pointed out the wildlife. It was hilarious when the visiting Canadian geese kept honking and flying away from us. The beautiful scenery surrounding us as we rafted down the river made it a perfect day. I definitely recommend All Adventures Rafting. The trip wasn't too scary once we got going, and the cold water felt great on the hot day. The staff is friendly, laid-back, and knowledgeable. They seemed like cool people, and worked hard to give us a safe and enjoyable adventure.
