Mikayla and Nikki were extremely helpful and made our ride very fun. They are very knowledgeable and helped us get into sync. Nate took care of our parents in the other boat. Nate was extremely helpful, entertaining, and educated about his craft. We were very amazed and grateful that he took care of our parents so well. Had nothing…read morebut issue after issue with the boat, communication with the dealer has been terrible, they won't respond, they tell you they will het back they never did, I had to be chasing them constantly for answers. A seat broke and they want me to pay almost 2k to ship it to Maui. A recall came in and because there is no dealer on island they won't do anything about. My steering system completely came off its assembly while on the ocean, my ballast tanks are not working, they first told me to remove the ballast module and send it over and they would send me a replacement. Well now I just got a txt from them saying that they cannot longer comunícate with me and that I have to do it all Troy Yamaha corporate. The funny thing is Yamaha says all warranty claims need to be handled trough the dealer. So it looks like Yamaha and Rivercity clearly spoke and said to each other "let's screw this guy, we already got his money, let us handle him we are a big corporate company and have in house lawyers". Stay out from this dealer they don't care about nothing else than making a sale and taking your money, and as much as Yamaha use to be a reliabale company, we'll after COVID they no longer, their quality control went down big time and they hide behind warranty and lawyers to don't respond for their products. STAY AWAY or found it by yourself. Hopefully my experience will help others don't be at the same or similar situation

And, they do 'final paperwork at the pool', so if any of your paperwork is not correct, you will have done the drive for no reason and will not be allowed in the pool. Even if Gretchen tells you your "good to dive and all our paperwork is completed" online (with green checkmarks) you still may not dive. When I asked if I could 'redo the paperwork', I was told, "PADI does not allow redo of paperwork". I argued that clearly PADI ethics would allow mistakes to be fixed but the dive instructor was steadfast that they do not. What a complete joke. I asked for a refund and I was told they would not give one. I called and talked with Gretchen the next morning and she said I could not get a refund. After further discussion, she gave me a partial fund.

For those who are already certified, they host monthly fun dives at different dive sites around the PNW. They provide dive site info, help pair up single divers, and even guide those who are beginners. Check out dates/locations on their website! My open water weekend dives occurred right before their fun dives, and it was encouraging to see other divers of all experience levels come together. It is truly a testament to UWW's love for PNW diving and the fostering of our local dive community. I can't wait to participate in them!

Recently did this 40-mile bike ride and it was a spectacular ride! A friend and I decided to ride…read moreon a gloomy + rainy day which ended up being worth it! It wasn't crowded at all and the views were still great. It was a full day, as we arrived around 10:30 am and were back in the car around 5:30 pm, so expect to take the whole day to enjoy this ride and to stop at the town of Vernonia. I love how this trail had multiple bike hubs and came in handy to put some air in my tires about 15 miles in. It was generally all family-friendly riding, with only a couple of hills where we did walk our bikes, but you can ride uphill if you are looking for an uphill challenge. But do note, that there were considerable amount of uneven spots/small potholes on the trail which my friend didn't remember on her last ride here so just be prepared for that. Luckily, most of them are marked! I will also agree with other reviews - about first 10 miles from Banks was a noticeable workout. We decided to grab some burgers in Vernonia and stretch our legs - which I totally suggest to do. We did see that a neighbor on our way to Vernonia had some free grapes and apples for us, which was such a sweet treat and extra fuel. I will suggest this to all my newbie and more advanced biker friends looking for a workout with a view!

There are no overlooks or valley views, just forests and a few grass fields. We just completed another section on our e-bikes. We will end up making three visits to complete the trail. Parking at Banks is very limited. Parking in Vernonia is unlimited. Someone has been marking roots and bumps with paint and it was greatly appreciated on our bikes. Our first visit was on a hot sunny day and was not near as enjoyable as yesterday in a cool drizzle. Not real rain, just threats of it.

The owner, Jeff, and his daughter, Shelby, as well as the other incredible staff are great resources, and are very knowledgeable about what they do and the latest diving equipment and diving opportunities. I especially appreciated the way my SCUBA instructors took time to explain concepts and allowed me unlimited pool time to practice outside of classes to solidify my skills. I'm a water girl in a water family so this is our kind of park. A sportsman's park with beautiful views of the Willamette River and a boat ramp to launch your craft. There is a medium sized grassy area with a few trees and a covered shelter with a view of the Willamette Falls in the distance. Nice bathroom facilities and covered parking under the Abernethy Bridge. Not many other amenities (no play structure). This small park is just south of Clackamette Park, which gets a lot more use. This park is a little more hidden and is only marred by traffic noise from I-205. Due to its size, better for family picnics and small gatherings. I initially discovered it a few years ago because it is the launch site for the Willamette Jet Boat as part of the Willamette Falls Festival. Nicely maintained by Oregon City, it is a great use of the space.

Except for the noise of the cars overhead, this is an ideal spot to eat lunch and read. There is a covered area where you can also get in out of the elements or there are benches to sit with a view of the river. And after lunch there are always clean restrooms to go wash up. But best of all is the walk way down to the floating dock on the river. I've occasionally even taken my lawn chair and lunch down and sat on the pier to get an up close and personal view of passing boaters and anglers.
