Why can't I find the button for 6 stars? Amanda's tour starts long before the moment she actually picks you up. Her service starts with careful communication with her riders ahead of time to plan the perfect day in Oregon Wine country. Our actual trip started with Amanda picking us up in her incredibly clean and comfortable Mercedes SUV. She had it stocked with water and snacks. She gave us an in depth introduction to Oregon wine country on the way to the first location which we loved. Her pricing is straight forward and reasonable and she told us that we could keep her for as long as we needed for the same hourly rate. At every winery she walked us right to the host and got us set up for the perfect experience. We didn't have to lift a finger or plan anything on the trip, the things we did plan we simply told her and she handled all of the details. She truly went above and beyond by making last minute changes when we threw her twists like "we are hungry but want to eat a sit down lunch at a vineyard and sit outside". Her knowledge and flexibility netted us the perfect day. In addition to the tips during our tour she gave us her number so that the next day we could continue using her knowledge on our own. We found more amazing restaurant and vineyards with her help. Oregon wine country is huge, don't go in blind hire a professional like Amanda, specifically hire her for a concierge level and for us perfect experience.

We had an amazing tour with Amanda this week. We requested some boutique wineries with great views and she took us to some fabulous places with wonderful wine too! Amanda gave great info about the area and knows all the interesting history of the wineries. We loved the wineries and enjoyed our time in the car in between. Amanda was so sweet even we told her she had to start watching Yellowstone because we are obsessed! Thanks for a fun wine adventure...we will be back!

Fast forward to today, we own a car and decided it was time to find a more local option. After visiting Hawks View this past weekend I can say we've accomplished that and then some. This place sits firmly in the sweet spot of not being too "dinky" or small and not being too stuffy or corporate. I know we all have our preferences, I just like for my environment to be laid back or relaxed. The wines are fantastic here. Keep in mind, I'm no connoisseur of fine wine but I do know good from bad. Beyond the wine, we love this place due to the view (of course) but also the fact you can parlay your wine allocation pick up with a rotating menu of food. Makes for a great little weekend getaway or drive in the car.

Beware the yellow jackets if you order food and are seated outside! Hopefully, they will find the nests and reduce the problem We went in early evening and were hungry so we ordered a couple of the flatbreads, hummus platter and a gazpacho. We had the white and OG flatbreads and both were delicious. Bigger than expected so we wound up taking one home. The hummus plate was also delicious and the gazpacho was the best I have ever tasted! Now on to the wine flights. We both had flights which they let us customize. We both loved all the wines we tried and we both bought a few bottles to take home. It is unusual for me to like all the wines anywhere so it was a nice surprise. We finished our meal and moved outside with a glass of the Reserve Chardonnay to relax on the lawn. The service was a tad slow - perhaps because they had a trainee that day? Hopefully, when I go again, and I will, the service will be a bit faster.

But the server never went thru the wines and explain the origin or the history of the wines. This was a negative as the winery we previously visited had an informative narrative as part of the presentation. There are so many wineries in the Willamette region, and we will continue to taste at many others. But I will not recommend Ardiri as one for new visitors to visit.

We didn't have a reservations, but were still able to get a nice fire pit table outside under the trellis. Once taken to our table, we were brought out a pour of their bubbles, such a delightful way to be welcomed while we decided what we wanted to order. Two of us opted to taste and the other two for a glass of wine. Glass sizes were generous pours. For tasting we went with both the classic - red, and bianca - white flights to share. Since we were sharing, our tasting associate was nice enough to give us a splash more of each so we could really try the wines. It was interesting that even though we were surrounded by a vineyard, most of the wine on the tasting menu didn't seem to be local. While the wine was all made by the winery, there were wines made with grapes from both Napa valley and Washington. They even had a blend that was made with both Napa and Oregon grapes. While these weren't necessarily my favorite wines I've had, I still really enjoyed my experience here, and did end up going home with a bottle of pinot. I'd probably skip the tasting next time and go for a bottle or glass, after trying and determining one that I liked.

The excitement began during the drive up to the tasting room from the roadway, where incredible views across the valley took my breath away. The clear vistas on the fall day were gorgeous, with much of the Cascade Range in view. Once inside, we were greeted in a warm, bright space that felt comforting and familiar. There was football on, views galore, and plenty of fascinating Oregon history and wine country information - a true space for anyone! Mary was our server (I think), and she was very helpful for the entire journey. It was great to learn so much about the history of the land and the current owners. I enjoyed tasting the variety of wines produced on the property and nearby, and I definitely preferred the rosé blend and the Chardonnays. If you are a fan of Pinots, you will like them, too, but the aromas and flavors are slightly tamer than my preference for bright fruit and spice notes. We also ordered a charcuterie board, and the crew was very accommodating to all of our needs. We spent some time walking the grounds, too, and I can absolutely see myself returning to drink some rosé by the pool in summer.
