My experience at the surgical center was also as smooth as I could have possibly imagined. The staff, nurses, and anesthesia team were great. I never felt like I was in a scary hospital setting, and people paid attention and checked in on me often. As a fellow healthcare professional I know how to run a business and care for patients without my office feeling like a people mill. This is not like other large clinics or hospitals I have been to. It feels more personal and more like a family practice.

We can pay and are not criminals because your billing practices are hopelessly disorganized. Untrustworthy and malicious in its practices. Petty in its operations. Avoid. Those services being cracking her back and neck. My mother, not knowing any better, trusted a "medical professional" into stopping her life saving medication because she was told to by Dr. Dan. I was physically in the room and heard him tell my mom this. As a teenager I wish I had known better as it would've prevented my mother from having a grand Mal seizure. My mother had been, at that point, seizure free for 12 years due to actively taking her epilepsy medication. My mother was provided hope from Dr. Dan that she would be seizure free, without taking medication, by regularly seeing him as the medication was causing subluxation in her body. Subluxation, as he defined, was toxins spreading in her body that were exacerbated by the medication that she was on that prevented her from having seizures. In addition to encouraging my mother to stop taking her medication, he also worked on my moms back and shoulder an hour after getting into a car accident without obtaining any form of imaging (x-ray, MRI). Not only was this incredibly dangerous, but this is the reason why she still has back/ shoulder pain. Lastly, as if his abuse of my mother wasn't enough, he actively criticized my mother for allowing me to be vaccinated and attempted to encourage her to not follow actual doctors medical advice. He would also show, in his office, fake clips about vaccinations and encourage patrons to not vaccinate their children. He has no medical background around vaccines that give him any authority on the matter. Highly recommend to seek other forms of care as Dr.Dan has exhibited a pattern of following his own ego than actual medical practices that benefit and promote health/ wellness.

To my surprise making the appointment online was incredibly easy and I was able to complete everything without any need to call and speak to anybody. That was awesome! I don't have a lot of time in my day to call and go through the endless back-and-forth of trying to find a date which works. Of course with any medical provider the equality of service is the most important piece. I felt as if the doctor took the time to understand my problem and to learn what activities I wanted to get back to that I wasn't able to. He suggested physical therapy exercises that I may not have tried before and quickly made a referral to get an MRI after I told him all of the different things I had tried before coming to see them. While no one wants to go see a doctor, if you do need to see a sports medicine doctor, this is the place to go.

I do want to acknowledge that the front desk staff was very kind, respectful, and handled the situation as best they could. However, repeated no-shows and lateness are unacceptable, especially when clients are expected to be on time and respectful of appointments. They communicate clearly and follow through on their end whether it's for refills, referrals or getting more information. Their staff are excellent. I've never felt looked down on or condescended towards. I've also never felt like I was being treated as if I were an addict, which sadly is not true of all pain clinics. They ask questions each and every time I see them to stay up to date on how I'm doing and how things are working for me. They are open and honest about the benefits and detriments of available treatment and while they only handle pain management, they do view patients holistically to help me get all the care I need both in and outside of their office. I wish all medical providers and especially pain clinics were like this.

Balog 's office never did fax my left shoulder arthrogram to my surgeon. In May 2019, Balog's office finally got around to faxing to my orthopedic surgeon of record since 2016-- a mish-mash of incomplete medical reports that did not include my arthrogram MRI report. No where did Carl Balog indicate that I was a surgical referral. Therefore, Carl Balog claimed that he was coordinating a surgical plan with my orthopedic surgeon of record in a timely manner since 10-2018 and in 11-2020 he never did. In addition, Balog instead sent out two different medical charts-- one report went to the insurer and a totally different medical chart was sent to to me. Despite his knowing of this problem it continued for eight months Balog did not provide me a medical chart for 04-2020 or 05-2020 despite my request for these reports. Since COVID-19 Balog has not seen me in person since March of 2020 and we were having medical appointments every month by phone.
