To be fair, I have not visited any of the other offices because I prefer the continuity of care of one excellent provider. Let me also make an honorable mention to Barbara, who works the front desk almost all the times I've been there . Kelly at the front desk is very kind and attentive - always greeting me with a smile and setting a great tone for the office! She really knows the patients well and goes above and beyond with her customer service. Dr. Truong has been a crucial part of my healing journey. When other providers had dismissed my back pain because of my age and general health, Dr. Truong was the only one to truly take the time to hear me out and dig a little deeper into the underlying issue. He ultimately suggested an MRI which led us to discover a disc protrusion in my low back. Since the MRI, Dr. Truong has been instrumental in helping me manage my pain through adjustments, suggested stretches and exercises, and massage! He is a very knowledgeable and caring provider. Nestor is truly the best massage therapist that I have ever been to. He can often pinpoint my problem areas before I even have to say it! Through targeted massage and mobility exercises he is able to alleviate my areas of stress and tension. I often leave my massages feeling like a new person! Not only is he a skilled massage therapist, but he also really takes the time to get to know the patients he is treating and how he can best support their healing journey. Dr. Truong and Nestor are a great duo who have been absolutely instrumental to my care. My pain is now at a much more manageable place and that is all due to the team at Elevation! 11/10 recommend!

I am new to the whole holistic healing stuff but I went into this with an open mind…read more I was happy to find that my insurer, Kaiser, extended coverage for alternative medicine and that my co-pay would only be $10. Okey dokey...let's try this! 8 Hearts is conveniently located in the Macadams area in the Water Tower complex. Easy breezy parking and a very nice location. It took a few weeks for my initial appointment but it was worth the wait. I arrived and briefly met Dr. Natasha and then Emily. I completed a in depth questionnaire about my health status and then Emily took me in to her relaxing, comfortable space. Emily took the time to get to know me, which I appreciated. We focused on the most pressing issues, my problematic shoulder specifically. My first acupuncture focused on my shoulder but the insertion of the needles was all over my body. I admit, I was fascinated about how the different pressure points correlated to different body parts. I had done my homework and knew that it would take several visits before I would really know if it was making a difference. Appointment one. I was surprised that the needles really didn't hurt. No biggie. Appointment two? Cupping. Yeah, Google "cupping". It friggin involves fire. Maybe an over reaction...really just a flame. Emily uses it to take the air out of the cup and then applies the cup to whatever body part you're having issues with. I'm not going to lie. It hurt like a mother and creates some dark bruises. But, with that being said, I LOVE IT! During the process, the cups draw up old blood and lymph. If it hurt too much, Emily would lessen the suction. I have been to Eight Hearts six times or so. I am now a believer and look forward to my appointments. I am on a three week schedule now and the time between appointments will continue to grow. I'm a fan. They, and especially Emily, rock.
