I went for a massage few days ago and felt great after the treatment but I only felt good for a short time. On my initial visit last December, I had a great experience with a masseuse named Amy. Upon scheduling that appointment a few days ago, I was surprised that the same Amy was not who I expected. It was a different woman. When I asked her what happened to the other "Amy" she looked confused and told me she was the only one. Maybe her name was Emily, but seems like she's no longer available when looking through the list of available masseuses. If this is the case then the turnover rate is not good. Best to get contact info from your favorite masseuse in case they do leave the business. Anyhow, like I said, I feel like the issue never went away and I still have lingering shoulder blade pain. I did noticed that the masseuse did not use elbow technique which I find to be more effective technique to use. The knot is still in my back and is killing me as I'm writing up this review. I think I will try a different masseuse. From what I hear, Mia is probably the better one and has more 5 star reviews than anyone else. The reason I didn't choose her was because she had no availabilities on that same day I went so I chose the latter. I went with the 90 minute deep tissue with hot stone treatment. The additional $20 hot stones felt great but it just didn't address the pain in my back. I ended up flying back to CA and visited my go-to Thai massage and they were able to remove the knot causing the pain. read more

Went with a Groupon with my girlfriend and we're excited and left a bit disappointed:/ there was no music playing in the room at any point and they made a comment about my body while I was on the table and how young she looked which made us uncomfortable. Vibes felt just off to be honest. The massage itself was a 6/10. When I went to tip, granted I didn't leave much and she asked me for more. I have been a regular customer over the years, even when it was sold. I've been to both Ella, who it seems is no longer there, and Emily, who I really liked. I made an appointment, only to realize the next day that it wouldn't work for me. I canceled it the next day, only to be charged $167. That's more than I would have paid for a massage and tip. I have called them. They played dumb. Will NEVER go there again. Would love recommendations for a new place! My issue with the massage clinic has been resolved. I've been here twice. Both times the therapist were good, but the space is awful. The entrance is a small room that looks directly into a bathroom where the cleaning supplies are in disarray. Makes me wonder if they care? Not a good first impression. I didn't know where to go so I peeked around an open door and there's a large reception desk. Who knew?!? Am I suppose to check in? Then a lady says "have you washed your hands?" Of course I haven't. How would I know to wash my hands? A new norm I guess. Anyway, all this to say if you are in the caring business I would think you would take care of your physical environment so patients feel comfortable. I would. read more

Would not recommend to anyone, especially anyone who is weary of massages. The whole experience was very unprofessional and uncomfortable. The lady who did my massage was on her phone for over half of the massage. She kept answering text messages and even answered the phone as she was finishing the massage. I scheduled for a back and neck only massage, and she rubbed my arms and legs as well. She also rubbed lotion into the palms of my hands, which I thought was very strange and did not like. She did not speak to me during the entire massage except for toward the end when she asked if I would like to continue and do a 60 minutes massage instead of the 30 minute massage I signed up for. When she was done, she started talking on the phone and just left the room without a word to me. As I paid, she turned the machine around for me to tip. I did not think that the service done deserved a tip and I was not wanting to tip for the poor experience. However, she told me to choose a tip, and then stared at me and the screen until I chose one. She then asked if I wanted to schedule another massage, to which I told her I did not. The whole experience made me extremely uncomfortable and even more stressed then before. I got this massage about a week and a half ago, and have since gotten multiple emails from them asking for me to schedule another one and to share and recommend them to others. I have had many deep tissue massages over the last 5+ years from many LMTs. Tim Wilcox's massages are the most therapeutic and stress-relieving I've ever experienced. I normally never write reviews but I have no choice this time, whatever you do don't go see KAYLA she is the WORST!!! If you value your body at all then avoid her!! She injured my shoulder beyond repair, maybe permanently tore some ligaments in my shoulder, it may never be the same, and I may have to file some injury lawsuit now that I can barely use my shoulder! I went to her for a back and neck injury and now because of her I ended up with a new injury, today when I went In and told her my shoulder was injured she said she wanted to work on it, and I wasn't comfortable with that so I said no I'm not ok with that and she said 'ok well then you can leave'. That's So rude and unprofessional, I would NEVER recommend her to anyone EVER!! I am never ever going back to her that's for sure! And On top of all that last week during the massage after she was obviously hurting me In one spot I asked her not to massage there anymore and she literally told me A minute later that I was 'giving off a very negative energy'. Wow she is very unprofessional! I hope I can save someone else from getting treated this way, and possible getting hurt from her, do yourself a favor, save your money, time and body and go to someone else! Wow, I feel so much better! This morning, I went to Oregon Massage Clinic in Newberg to get a massage from Sara and it was Ahhh-mazing and I am so thankful that even hours later I'm still finding relief from my terrible headache (which normally isn't the case). I've seen nearly 20 massage therapists in my life and what makes a good one is someone who listens to you and pays attention to what your body is doing. I like several different degrees of pressure in different areas and Sara was spot on without me having to tell her... Which makes it so much easier to relax. I feel like there are a lot of massage therapists out there and there aren't a lot of good ones, let alone great ones... And Sara is great one. Thank you, Sara, for making me feel better... We've had a regular weekly massage treatment with Hannah for the past 3 months or so, and she's just been brilliant. My husband prefers more of a deep tissue sports massage, focusing on the knots, tension and soreness that from his workouts, running, etc. and sometimes she'll just work on those areas more intensely, to really loosen and release that pain. Some weeks I have tension in my neck or upper back and will need more focus on specific areas, which Hannah will find before I even have to tell her - she has a really strong understanding of the muscles and the body, and is very intuitive and perceptive as to what needs attention. We've found having Hannah do this regular bodywork has been such a gift - just having more flexibility, more mobility and more ease makes the world of difference. Hannah is definitely very skilled and we'd highly recommend her to anyone - just do yourself a favor and book her! read more
