Would not recommend this school to anyone. And strongly urge anyone considering this school to do…read moreyour research first as they do not follow the standard Montessori teaching practice at all. Staff are not licensed educators, and instead only certified which they received from a quick online course. Classrooms are chaotic, lack structure and guidance and lack any form of teaching. On numerous occasions when picking up my child, I found them wet, cold and being neglected leading to pneumonia. When contacting the school to discuss concerns I encountered directors and staff that were dismissive, would down play my concerns and who were defensive. My experience was both disheartening, and unsettling. Following investigation into this facility I learned that they are NOT a registered school as lead to believe but instead is licensed under a child card day care facility which in my experience is very much how they operate.

Little Friends Montessori has been such a gift to our family. We have been attending for four…read moreyears. I have a child with special need and from the very first day, the staff made us feel completely welcomed, supported, and seen. You can tell they truly care about every child who walks through the door--not just as students, but as little people with their own personalities, strengths, and needs. The teachers are incredibly patient, nurturing, and intentional. They meet kids exactly where they are and help them grow confidently at their own pace. My child comes home excited, proud, and full of stories about what they learned or explored that day--everything from practical life skills to creative projects and hands-on activities. What I appreciate most is the genuine warmth of the community. It feels like an extension of home. They communicate clearly, celebrate milestones big and small, and create an environment where kids feel safe, loved, and encouraged. If you're looking for a place where your child will be understood, supported, and inspired every single day, I can't recommend Little Friends Montessori enough. They've truly made a difference in our lives.

I can't recommend this school enough. My daughter started at MDC when she was 3.5 (she's 5 now) and…read moreit has been a wonderful place for her. She's always been very quiet and reserved with people so starting school was a hard transition for her but I'm grateful we had MDC. Every step of the way her teachers were nurturing and encouraging, creating an environment where she has thrived. Socially she is still reserved but she has grown immensely. She talks in front of her whole class on sharing days! This from a kid who literally wouldn't speak anyone for the first 6 months. Our family members always comment on how far she's come and how confident she is. If she hadn't been in an environment where she felt safe and allowed to explore things at her own pace I don't think we would have had the level of success we have had with her social issues. Her teachers are extraordinary and she adores them. I have experience with another popular preschool in town and the level of compassion and care from the teachers here at MDC is far above. Academically she's on point, if not ahead. She has a late birthday so, as of now, she's not in kindergarten yet but academically she is at the same level as her friends in Kindergarten at a S/K school out south. At MDC she began reading when she was 4 and now, at 5, she is reading compound words and even some long vowels! She knows all letter sounds, several blends, recognizes sight/cvc words, creates her own story books, writes numbers, counts to 100... but beyond that she's loving learning about other cultures, the world, and art. I'm always impressed by the work she comes home with and things she tells me that she has learned at school. I know she didn't learn that from mom & dad! We plan to continue her education here as long as we can.

I would not reccommend this school to my worst enemy. Do not believe the lies they feed you this…read moreschool is not what it pretends to be and I am almost certain there is shady activity going on behind the scenes and I am not the only former student who feels this way. The owners are simply money hungry and do not care about the quality of education and rather the quantity of $ they can rob from students. I also suspect embezzlement through student financial aid living expenses. This school sucked me of my passion for hair and made me an unhappy person. I do not regret leaving though I am left with enormous debt and nothing to show for it, I do however strongly regret ever attending and signing a contract that prevents me from getting my transcripts so that I can finish my hours at another better school. Save yourself an enormous headache and do not go here!!!! You will not learn the skills you need to be a successful hair stylist and you will end up being drained both emotionally and physically.

What waits for you is a fixed price menu of several courses designed by Chef and the South Salem HS Culinary students. I have had the pleasure of dining in what can truly be one of Salem's best dining experience on two separate occasions. Both times the Menu included two entrees, two desserts and creative starters, soups and salads. The best part of the dining experience is that you can be your own "Iron Chef" judge and provide useful feedback to the students on each course. If you like a "Chef's Table" experience where you are part of the foodie learning process then this is it! The servers are the students themselves which so far has translated into an impeccable level of service. I am looking forward to the next time. I would rather keep this an underground secret, but something this fun needs to be shared. Keep up the good work!

The Yellow House prepared all five of our children for kindergarten better than we ever could have…read moreimagined. By the time each child graduated from preschool, they had the confidence, social skills, and academic foundation needed to succeed in school. The price was also one of the best in town! The teachers created an environment where learning was exciting and children were encouraged to be curious, creative, and independent. We loved seeing our kids come home talking about letters, numbers, science experiments, friendships, and all of the adventures they had during the day. What truly makes Yellow House special is the people. The staff genuinely care about the children and families they serve. Over the years, they celebrated our children's successes, supported us through challenges, and became an important part of our family's story. Five children, six weeks old through age six, and every single experience was exceptional. Cloud Nine has been one of the greatest blessings for our family. We recommend them without hesitation to any parent looking for a safe, loving, and high-quality childcare program.

It was so great finding out they had interior cameras that I could access as a parent, especially with this being the first time I had my child go to care other than myself. They provide a fantastic assortment of foods to him to expand his pallete and each child has a daily report card of what they ate, diaper changes, and naps. All of the girls up there have great communication with me and send me photos of him throughout the day as well. It is a bit pricey but for the little extra I'm paying, I get peace of mind with the cameras and consistent communication and most of all my son loves all of the teachers up there.
