I work in property management and I have used this company for a number of jobs. Most of our…read moremaintenance work is done in-house, but we have used them when our maintenance supervisor is on vacation (or swamped) and for extensive projects. Brian is the main contact and he is always very professional and returns my phone calls promptly. When he has hired help, he always chooses professional and courteous people, which is very important in my line of work since they will be working in/around tenants' homes. Brian is very knowledgeable and versatile. Here are a few examples of the things we have had him do: Painting: We have used him for interior painting numerous times. He did a quick and excellent job. There was no overspray like you get with some painters. He cleaned up after himself. Fences: He tore down/hauled away old fences and installed and stained new ones on 60 patios, which was an extensive project. Though his bid came in slightly more expensive than another company, we used him because we knew he did quality work. When you are spending thousands of dollars on a project, you want to make sure that you're getting something that lasts. He works very quickly and efficiently. Again, he was working closely with over 60 tenants, and I received numerous compliments about how courteous he was. Replacement of sub-flooring: There was pet urine damage to a unit that was so extensive that it ruined the sub-flooring. We had a move-in scheduled, and so it was imperative that this was repaired ASAP . . .and of course, as Murphy's law would have it, this happened while our maintenance supervisor was on vacation! Thankfully, Brian was able to take care of this project in a timely manner! Quality work, timely, kind to others, and doesn't leave a mess behind - need I say more?

Whether you're having bottled water delivered to your home, or whether you're setting up a fundraising dinner for a worthy cause... Vend West will nearly always be in the picture somewhere. They happily donate as they can, and do business with a warm smile and friendly spirit. Though I've opted to buy filters for my over-priced refrigerator in lieu of the over-priced bottles of delivered water, I admit I miss my cold/hot water taps, and the sweet taste of Earth2O. There's just something in the water. :) Now this is where I highly recommend doing business locally! It would be kind if Vend West would consider their customer's may not wish to locate their own envelopes and fill out the cover every time they wish to pay the bill. C'mon guys... change up the billing system. The services cost plenty to cover such an implementation of updating your system. In other words... it's 2011. If you're going to charge premium prices, then at a minimum send your clientele an easier way to pay for it. Thanks though... for years of good service, and always a wonderful community attitude.

The help immediately took my machine out of its bag and started working on it. The fix was easy and they sent me on my way. Their business was clean, organized and the help was amazing. We are lucky to have their business in our area. Next time you think about going to Walmart for a new machine, ask yourself, who is going to service it? If we don't buy local, business such as this will not be around. They will have all my future business! Thank you!

The power head of my Electrolux quit working gradually, I thought it was in the elbow into the power head turns out I was right after she checked everything else. They said they could order a part and fix it for me . About a week later I go get my vacuum and it works for about 7-8 months then gradually stopped working just like before. I figured I couldn't hurt it so I took it apart found the problem, wire connection in the elbow to head the part that should be new. The protective stuff around wires was all frayed, scuffs all over the part it is NOT a new part. I took the part and paperwork in to the store and talk to them. They show me the invoice for the new part and I'm told "I believe my worker". Then he says "we always send the old part with the customer, where is that? I told him I wasn't given an old part just my vacuum and the bill for $104.95 parts and labor. I was ripped off , charged for a new part and installation and all they did was reattach old wire which didn't hold. I will never use or recommend The Electric Hospital again..

Ratings are falling! Have I shopped here? Yup... once! Will I go back? Nope!…read more It takes a whole lot to earn one star from me. But this one came rather easy. Here's the truth: I was the first to review this location, and I've had plenty of experience with them to voice an honest opinion. I purchased an Englander mattress several years ago, have been fairly happy with the bed, but wasn't thrilled with doing business at MBH. It was the first... and the last purchase. You see, I don't care how many years a person's family has owned a business. I don't care whether you're a bulldog or a pirate, or how many sporting events you attend. So, I didn't make mention of how "sports supportive" the owner of MBH is. He took it VERY personally. To date, I've never seen a business owner go to such extremes to try to change his "yelp" image. It's kinda funny when you think about it. The lack of customers should be an indication that I wasn't the only dissatisfied local or otherwise consumer! The reason I deleted my first review was after noticing that one of the biggest irritants had already been addressed. For more than 3 decades the place looked like little more than a junkyard and was a major eye-sore right on the main highway through town. While the outside seemingly has been picked up a bit, I thought perhaps my review was too harsh, even though I don't imagine it got cleaned up by choice. I'm guessing city ordinance. THEN... I started reading the reviews posted immediately after mine --- you know those kind that have ONE review and one GREAT thing to say about ONE business? Not fishy in the least! And, the last time I was inside the store... it looked so awful I actually offered to come in and do a little decorating. Once again, I was met with RUDE! It does not take a barn or warehouse feel to find value. Value is first in how you treat customers and visitors. That should be enough said. Beyond that, how they operate business does not seem to be contained to a less than appealing store. In this case... the bad attitude pretty much seems to follow the owner around town. Then I had the misfortune of watching local late night news and catching what could perhaps be the worst local ad I've ever seen. Bashing two of the other local furniture stores by name (who actually do showcase beautifully) he actually trash talks "memory foam - ie Tempurapedic" mattresses. Hmmmm... smart businessman? You decide. Here's a great reason most locals do not shop locally!

The owner showed us around, took his time with us and applied no pressure. We did visit another store in Coos Bay and one in North Bend. Bargain House keeps it real -- no nonsense, no pressure and really great mattresses. The mattress we chose was definitely the best value we could find in Coos Bay. It feels great and feels very durable. Thank you to the owner of Marshfield Bargain House for making us feel so welcome. We love this place.
