This is a little playground with some nice equipment and not a lot of space to run around. There is a dog park nearby. I gave it 4 stars because it can get muddy. It's a shady park, so good on a hot day. read more

I bet it's gorgeous in the summer with all the greenery, and colorful flower beds. It's perfect for a nice stroll or enjoying some quiet time away from the city's hustle. Strolling through this lovely park takes you back to simpler times when you actually see an occasional jogger and couples holding hands as they stoll amongst the trees and glorious sculptures. It is fun to stand on the bridge above the train rail way and watch the train come in and stop of the station. This park is huge and you could probably spend all day here.

Very child friendly and there was heaps of room for kids to run around, playground included. Outside of the playground area was just green space for people to chill out. Very peaceful, you wouldn't guess that masses of tourists are only 100 metres away going through the palace grounds.
A lovely park right outside the Vienna Technical Museum…read more While it is not the largest park in the world, its size is more than ample, and therefore it more than plays a part in Vienna being a very "green" city. In addition to that which parks usually have, this one also had water pumps - where I think it is necessary to just hold down the handle rather than to pump - but I would not drink this water myself it might be very portable, and safe for pets. This park also has some machines which aid in working out. These are for public use, and are outdoors. While they are not as nice as the ones you would find in a paid gym, they can help you burn a few calories when you're out in the park. Also, has many large grassy areas which are good to lets dogs play off-leash and let out their inner hound. I'm sure the park is even lovelier in the summer!

It unfortunately does seem like it's the oldest zoo, too. I don't like zoos in general, but where I live, we have one of the world's best zoos (The Henry Doorly Zoo), where the animals have lots of room to roam and live their best lives - as best they can while being in a zoo anyway. But the Schönbrunn Zoo seemed very cramped and a lot older of a set up for the animals there. It kind of made me sad to see them in smaller enclosures. They seemed to be hiding a lot from all the people too. We decided to leave pretty quickly after looking around a bit. I think it's a good thing for kids to do vs. what the parent's probably are wanting to do (seeing the Schönbrunn Palace and grounds), so maybe it's a good thing to have, but just was not up my alley.
