We found Kat before the lockdown at a bridal expo and immediately hit it off. She was so easy to talk to and personable. It was important to us to like our coordinator and she fit the bill! We hired her right away as a day-of coordinator and shortly after, the pandemic hit us. We had to postpone our wedding date for THREE YEARS. She honored her original price and stuck with us the whole time. When it came time to start planning again she was right there ready to go. She encouraged us to reach out to her about any questions we had about any aspect of the wedding. She was available via email, text, phone call, you name it. Planning a wedding is like a small infinity of work. Each task seems to generate three or four more tasks. But Kat was there with answers and options to help us navigate the whole experience. She provided so much help and assurance while planning. By the time the day had arrived she had developed a very detailed timeline with a plan for everything and a contingency plan for every plan. It was certain that nothing would go wrong, and nothing did. Not a single thing was missed. On the day of, I could swear there were twenty copies of her and she'd been working since 5am. Of course that wasn't true but her efficiency and attention to detail was so great that it seemed so. She came with two assistants and so while she was busy managing me and the bride, and both our wedding parties, and our parents, she was also managing her team. Her and her team did our centerpieces, she made sure we (two wedding parties, bride and groom, parents) were in the right place at the right time, knew where we were going next and what was going to happen, and that nothing was missing. She also made sure we had coffee, water, food, beer, whatever. All my wife and I had to worry about was how to say our vows through all the happy tears. I will forever recommend Kat for anybody's wedding and I already have. She is amazing. Hire her!

Candy was able to keep me calm during many panic attacks and was SO flexible with various obstacles (last minute venue change, time change, working with last minute vendors, etc.). I was so surprised to see how great everything was on the day of. It definitely surpassed my own expectations (even though I had done most of the booking haha). Unlike others, I didn't have a vision board or any vision for that matter. My husband and I were clueless and knew nothing about flowers, so it was very difficult for us to communicate what we wanted. But during the time that I've followed Chloe Rose on Instagram, whenever I would see a flower I liked, I would DM Kimberly asking her which flowers she was playing with. We decided to play with those flowers. Kimberly sent us the most detailed quote and a mood board, so we can visualize everything. We gave Kimberly a general overview/theme of what we envisioned our wedding to look and pretty much gave her a free reign to execute our vague "general overview". And boy, did she deliver something better that we could have ever imagined. From the boutonnières, the bridesmaid bouquets, the sweetheart table, the centerpieces, the arch, everything was just beautiful. And my bouquet, it was perfection. I am in love with my bouquet. I wish it would have lasted forever. And even though we left my bouquet in the car overnight after the wedding, Kimberly was able to save it and transform it to this beautiful bookends to remind us of the magical day we had. And the arch, we forgot to bring our arch. Luckily, our venue had an arch we can rent, but we were so worried because Kimberly planned to decorate a thin round arch instead of a huge hexagonal arch. But it wasn't stressful for us because Kimberly made it so easy for us. She didn't make a fuss about the switch! She is just so talented and creative that this last minute change did not seem to bother her. Kimberly had to improvise and figure out a way to decorate our new arch at the last minute. It was so beautiful you'd think it was planned. She's very personable, creative, talented, easy to work and communicate with, responsive, a perfectionist, and very detail oriented. She listens intently to understand exactly what her couples want. But more importantly, she absolutely loves flowers and is very passionate about what she does. And really, I think it shows in her work. She truly gave us one less thing to stress about during the wedding planning. I'm so glad I found Una Bella Ciao. Jamie, the owner, was very professional. She met with me numerous times prior to the event to make sure I was on track and we were on the same page. She came with my family to meet with the event staff at the Queen Mary and she was at my rehearsal. She was meant to just observe our rehearsal since the Queen Mary said they would run that but she ended up running that rehearsal as well. (The new guy at the QM wasn't very confident). I was thrilled with Jamie and her assistant at the day of the wedding. They blended into the party and stepped up occasionally to keep things moving along. I wasn't really aware of them which really is the point! They were working behind the scenes making sure everything was great. It save me, my mom and my mother in law a ton of stress and I'm so grateful! Una Bella Ciao is very reasonable in price and she goes above and beyond to make sure the the bride and groom are happy. The thought of spending more on a…read moredress than I spend on rent gives my hives, as do expensive cakes with gross crisco-y frosting, the cake cutting fees that accompany them, bad-tasting "signature cocktails," the thought of making all my single friends shuffle their feet awkwardly during a bouquet toss, and DJs who play that song where grown-ass people must make their hands into quacking ducks. So after an elopment attempt was foiled (long story) and the mister and I decided to have a wedding, we decided we'd do it our way. We got married in the front yard of our friend's house and had the reception in the backyard. Now, as it turns out, planning an at-home wedding is annoying, yes, and planning a non-traditional at home wedding is exponentially annoying. This is where Sharlene Griffith came in. She was amazing with vendors; we got deals that would make the folks at bridal expos weep. She turned my friend's backyard into the most magical wedding venue I've ever been to, practically did all the floral stuff herself, never winced when I selected the cheapest option for everything, and she even put up with my crazy reinvent-the-wedding-wheel ideas and even threw in some of her own. And the food (tacos! ceviche! spanish wines! etc! best cupcakes ever! for 1/10 the price of one of those stuffy ballroom food places) was amazing. My guests still talk about it. My husband and I were dancing at our wedding and saying to each other "wow, this really is the best day I've ever had" which was a surprise to two cynics like us. Sharlene Griffith Designs and Associates (SGD) the Paramour unprofessionally handled our…read moreexpectations and investments. TOP 10 PROBLEMS 1) During the post-ceremony photo session and before we could greet our guests on the lawn for cocktail hour, SGD told us guests moved into the dining room because it was hot and they had no where to sit. However, our guests told me they enjoyed the lawn but were told to go inside by SGD. This was also against our wedding schedule. 2) Communication with SGD and their coordination with vendors was inefficient and led to more work for us. 3) Nearly every major vendor I was referred by SGD was replaced within 10 days of the wedding. 4) After five months and several requests for a formal agreement to finalize the cost for SGD as our wedding coordinators, I was handed a contract for double the agreed upon amount. SGD later said this was an error from a repurposed contract. (See No. 2.) 5) SGD created an arbitrary "cleaning fee" when no such fee existed in our contract. 6) SGD got a phone call the morning after our wedding to remind us to return our unused alcohol by 12 noon for reimbursement. SGD neglected to share that intel until 4PM. 7) SGD quoted us a discounted rate for our security guard, to court us as clients for the venue. Two weeks after the ceremony, SGD and The Paramour sent us an invoice at a higher rate for hours that were't worked by the security guard. 8) Though our reception ended at the agreed upon hour, SGD charged us a penalty for being on property overtime. SGD masked that penalty with the security invoice. There was no mention of a penalty in our contract. 9) At 11 PM without notice, the overhead lights on the dance-floor came on hard prom night style. 10) Without our permission, The Paramour hired to a private photographer to document our costly ceremony rentals to feature the venue. SGD explained the night before the wedding that she would be reconfiguring my ceremony design for this photo session, and that I should be happy about this publicity. If this review helps one person avoid the experience I had, then I have been a responsible consumer. Now, back to wedded bliss.
