We ended up picking a basket of our own strawberries. The lady who rang us up in the market and explained the process was friendly and helpful. The gentleman who drove the tractor to and from the field did a great job explaining the picking process and which strawberries to pick or not to pick. We never had to wait more than a few minutes to take the tractor to and from. Afterwards we visited the petting zoo and fed the animals two bags of food which we purchased from the market. They were sooo cute! The one goat was so funny and his name should be "Shadow" since he followed us around the whole time! He can be seen in our pic feeding the duck. He was so funny! The animals were all friendly and super cute to hang out with for a bit. Feeding the goats up on the structure via conveyorbelt was so fun and entertaining! I highly recommend visiting and plan to be back in a couple months to pick peaches and nectarines!

You are literally drinking beer surrounded by the raw ingredients. The indoor taproom is great, but the outdoor space is where the magic happens, especially when they have live music on the weekend. It's a relaxed, community-focused vibe, and while they are a working farm, they've set up the guest area perfectly and they have great service and staff. Beer quality is top-notch, which makes sense when they grow their own star ingredient. Their IPAs, like the E-Z Super Soft IPA or the HZ IPA, are incredibly fresh and fragrant. But what I love most is the variety. I've had fantastic beers across the board, from a crisp Kolsch to a rich Bourbon Barrel Imperial Stout. Check their website for the food truck schedule; they always have great food to pair with the brews. Black Locust Hops is a genuine gem and a must-visit for anyone who appreciates local ingredients and high-quality, craft brewing.

Additionally, the other woman working behind the desk was nice, knowledgeable and made us feel welcome while waiting for our tour. Guide aside, the tour itself is done in the dark, with the tour guide holding a flashlight that they zoom in and out for effect (ouch my eyes) just like in a B rated movie for cinematic effect. The 'museum' is in a maze like room with maybe one out of every 5-10 objects actually having any energy and that is probably being generous. The items we were able to see and hear about were interesting and neat to see, but we could have read about them in a lit room just as easily and enjoyed the experience a bit more. If we would have driven to Gettysburg just for the museum I would have been severely disappointed, however just at the end of the day as a final stop before leaving it wasn't a total flop.

I won't ruin the story of how in case you opt to go on the tour. The beginning of the tour made me feel very unwelcome like I was being scolded like a young child. I understand that there are rules but the way she discussed the rules made me afraid to breathe the wrong way. Her demeanor kicked the tour off to a lousy start. "Don't touch anything and I'll be watching"- like really?? Then our guide made a big deal that she would refuse to answer any questions on ghosts or if the house was haunted. (Yeah of course because they want to sell you the Jennie Wade ghost tour). I thought that was ridiculous. There were other "rules" too. The home was in good condition. The gift store was nice and I liked the tour and the history. I felt like the tour guide was rushing and speaking too fast. I was disappointed because most of the stuff in the house was not original such as the wallpaper, or the artifacts. Supposedly they are antiques but weren't owned by The Wades.
