I've been to this park for years now and have enjoyed it every time I've gone. This time I went I tried out there disc golf course which was very open and easy to navigate. The course was 9 holes, was not too busy for a Saturday afternoon, and is beginner-friendly. The rest of the park is very nice as well! There are multiple paths that make there way around the park, some looping and some being out and back. There are also connecting paths to take you across the road to other parks and areas of Hillsboro. Overall, this park is a very nice, family friendly, park with many things to offer and beautiful walking scenery no matter the season. read more

Decent park. It's got frisbee golf, a play area, and some picnic tables. We dropped by to check out the trails. Mostly it seems to be a connector trail to the Rock Creek system. We ended up taking the short, boardwalk loop...a bit muddy & surrounded by pretty high waters currently. Still yet, nice for a brief leg-stretcher. read more

Beautiful park but parking is atrocious here. Always full and there aren't any additional parking.

I wish every park in town had a disc golf course! It would definitely get me outta the house every day. The course here at Orchard Park is decent for newbs like me. It probably won't be very challenging for more advanced players though. The grounds of the park is always clean and everyone you'll run into while playing is jolly and friendly. For PoGo players, this is also an ex-raid location. There's also some trails and it connects up with Rock Creek greenway as well. read more

Passed by this park while heading to another location and told myself to come back, had a chance for Memorial Day and it was great! Clearly marked bike rack and lots of open field space to play disc golf (which I didn't know there was a specific park to play at), walk the trails, rest on a bench, or even have a picnic ad there are a few tables by the playground. The playground has a basic swing set and a couple animal spring riders. With the sun out, many people out playing disc golf and just enjoying the sun. I didn't walk al through the park, but just a quick stroll was enough for me to come back again. The large spaces of grass to lay around in is something I haven't been able to find in the parks where I am around so glad I passed by this area. The only downside I would say is the parking. read more

Usually I love this park. It's a wonderful walk through the woods with my dogs. Although, today, I found 2 homeless tents, trying to hide in the woods, right where the bridge starts, with all kinds of trash by it. I know it's getting warmer, but it's no place for the homeless, not w/families around. Can anything be done? Contact the local offices? read more

This is a surprisingly good little park! We came here specifically to do the Rock Creek Trail with our bikes. The first section of the trail is a loop within Orchard Park, and then there are some paths that lead all of the way past Evergreen into the Rock Creek area. The only negative thing about the Rock Creek Trail is that while crossing Amberwood Drive and Cornell Road, you have to do a little walking to get to the crosswalk at the next light over and then turn back (or... jaywalk!) The Evergreen crossing has a crosswalk and light specifically for the trail, so that is nice. If you're doing the trail, Orchard Park is probably the easiest place to park. Within Orchard Park there are some frisbee golf holes (I haven't tried them out), a playground area, and some restrooms. The playground area is a little small compared to some of the other parks in the Hillsboro area, but in its small-ness it seems geared towards younger kids. They also have a pretty awesome climbing rock that I dutifully scaled to say that I could. Overall, I'll probably come back here to bike the Rock Creek Trail some more. I don't think we'd drive over here just for the playground. read more

GO FLY A KITE! Awesome little public park. A few small things for kids. A swingset. Some playground equipment. Pick nick tables. It's well maintained and clean. Parking lot is small. A few small trails to walk/hike/bike. We enjoy it. There is also some frisbee golf here. Not my thing but hey whatever makes ya happy. This park is great for LITTLE kids, 8 and below. Lots of free area. We come here every so often. It's quiet which makes for good little walks. :) read more

Whoever designed this park did a great job, there is a lot of different spaces to appeal to different people in what is actually a small space. With lots of trees it is a nice space to take a walk (but keep your eyes out for Frisbees) , it has a great bridge over a wetland area, A few of the great areas Frisbee golf is kind of all over the treed area Nice walking trails Playground Dog Park Picnic area with tables A nice open field for games or well anything. The parking area is small, but the park is kind of hidden so it is usually not to bad. This is a nice neighborhood park. read more

Oh lovely little Orchard Park...so green, so clean, so fun. It's a simple little park, well thought out, and in the middle of high tech east Hillsboro, but tucked away. You have to just know its here or...Yelp it to find it of course!! :) Disc golf courses seem harder to come by as of late. And in this area around here...good luck. It's quite a drive in any direction you go to get to the next nearest DG course. But this course is right on the money. It is PERFECT. I'm serious! One thing I can't stand in a DG course is bad signage, where you can't see which way your supposed to go for your next play. Or the par is scratched off, or the sign is so dulled it's all grainy and weathered and you can't make out anything....Or how bout, there is NO signage at all?!? Ugh it's a awful heart sinking sight to not see a sign. :( (I get worked up by unloved DGC's....it makes me sad). But yes, little Orchard Park is loved, has clearly marked signs for the DG (stating par, length, map), clean cemented flat runways, short grass, open areas and treed areas, and I believe 9 baskets. Which some may think is not many, but it's really perfect, could be quick a lunchtime game, or go thru it two or three times if desired. One game usually (on a normal semi busy Saturday afternoon) takes about 45-60 mins to get through. The golfers are well mannered, and respect others here too. (Oh and quick tip, if you go to dgcoursereview.com, search Orchard Park and print yourself a few score sheets for the park!) Also, if this were JUST a DG course I'd be happy. But the park also boasts the lovely Rock creek trail, that starts or stops whichever way you look at it here at the park, and goes quite a ways north. This is my fav trail in the area too!! It's nicely open, safe, and a furry friend will be a happy companion for you on this relaxing trek. Or a bike would be, or your running shoes!! And of course, it can't be a park without the play structure! It has brand spankin new climbing structures for the little ones, teeter totters, swings, slides, all the good stuff. Bark chipped and benches too. Oh and two bathrooms!! Not just porta potties! Nice! Small parking area, but big enough to accommodate quite a bit of cars. And also if need be, street parking. This park it really the best. Think of this, heading over to Orchard Park on a nice late spring Sunday, bring your discs, bring the kids, bring the cooler full of goodies, bring the dogs!! However you do it, enjoy a DG game on the perfectly trimmed and clean lawns with a drink in hand, while kids let their energy out having the time of their life on the play structure, dogs rolling around the green grass panting happily, and to top it all off packing back up and walking the trail for the nice early evening stroll home. Just a fabulous park. You can't get much better then this. :) read more

It's a park for all ages, even the fur babies which is a plus. I live a few minutes away from orchard park and enjoy coming here with my son. As others may have mentioned if you're walking along the trail, to watch out disc golfers. If you're driving, the parking lot isn't very big read more

A hidden park in Hillsboro! I like that there's a little cement walking loop within the park BUT I don't like that some areas of the trail lead to dead ends. Making me think that the park is a bit unfinished. I like that there are little doggie bags available, so you can pick up their poop! BUT I don't like that the container was empty when I needed a bag. I like that there is a disc-golf (see Ralph D.'s info for more detail about the sport) area for one to play "frisbee"! BUT I don't like that the police were driving through the park when I came to visit to walk my dog and had a little chat with the people playing this sport. Why they came? I don't know why. I like that there's a little play gym for children to frolic around. BUT I don't like that it's only for a few kids to play. Would I come back? Probably to walk my dog. But not any time soon. read more

My American bulldog mix and I live in an apartment complex close-by to Orchard Park! We enjoy having the trails and the scenery to gander at on our morning walks. We've never tried the disc golf, but the community seems to really enjoy it, and it's a great place to let my dog run in the early mornings when no one is out and about playing yet. The park is well maintained, they have bags available to scoop poop, and overall a small pleasant park to walk your dog. read more

I enjoy this park a lot. Before we moved I used to go running here. There is a nice grass area with a playground at the front. Generally, I'd see a few families here almost every time I've gone. The disc golf is very popular which has not been a problem for me. At first I was worried we would have to dodge discs when walking the path, but the layout was very well done to help avoid throwing them over walkers heads, except for the first throw! What's that all about? The path makes a nice loop. You walk over a long bridge that crosses over the marsh area. Lots of birds around. I love walking through in the different seasons to see how the natural area changes. If you continue south, you end up on a straight path that will take you parallel to Cornelius Pass and into a condo area, then the path ends and you're on sidewalk. The kids play area is really lacking and unfortunate. This could be a great perk with some kind of jungle gym type equipment. It's extremely lackluster with only swings... This park for some reason is the muddiest park I've ever been too. Oregon rains, given. But they also keep the sprinklers on and the drainage is absoloutley terrible. It makes for a terrible experience. Disc golfing here is an absoloute nightmare, a NIGHTMARE! Take the time and go to a much better park close by... read more

A co-worker of mine told me about this park, and my hubby and I were so excited that it has disc golf and it's a dog park, those are 2 extremely awesome things that are combined together. We brought both our dogs out there at the end of December 2013 and we had fun throwing the disc around. We will definitely be back to this place. read more

What a fun little trail and a cute playground! I drive by this a lot and finally decided to take my little family there. Very clean and everyone was very courteous. A couple families teach their kids to ride a bike here. We are only 5 mins away so definitely will be hitting up this park more often :) read more

This park is within walking distance from my house, and is very nice trail. There is a bathroom on the premises, bonus! Playground for children and a rock climbing wall. The attraction for others could be the full size frisbee golf course. I myself just like the walking loop. read more

Perfect little park. Not only does it have parking and restrooms, but there's a little something for everyone. Swingsets, tiny rides, and climbing rocks for small children, disc golf for adults, and walking trails for everyone. The Park is Awesome but today near noon. . . . we were walking our dogs (two elderly people) and one dog was having an issue. So the dog was near the bushes on the left side as we were near the back parking lot. No one on the sidewalk and then . . . .So this is why some bicyclist get nasty remarks-he's approaching us and clearly sees us and he riding fast. The right lane (no marking of lanes and yes, you walk or ride to the right) but as I stated our dog was having an issue and both lanes were clearly open as we even moved our dog closer to the left side because we are responsible people. So this ahole had almost two wide lanes to ride passed us. So as he goes by the wanna be bicyclist yells "GET TO THE RIGHT! You got to be friggin kidding me-talk about rude! Two older people and a dog having an issue had you had to spout off "get to the right"! 1. We clearly made space for this idiot and no one else was around. 2. Most bicylcist slow down out of being decent. Or they might even ask if we needed help. He was just an out and out jerk who thought he owned the lanes. So I said, " Really, oh shut up! Then Mr. Big Bicyclist so-called Man was so proud to say his favorite words as he's riding passed another family. And waving his favorite finger. The woman at the play structure with two kids said to us-what an idiot and sick person (Thank you for seeing him for what he is). Well, it's called being a human being-which he is not! No doubt he's an angry middle aged man who has to prove something to himself. All the other bicyclist we encountered were not like Mr. Ahole who must have thought he was at Tour de France. Very nice park to hang out on a sunny afternoon. I was there on Sunday afternoon and the parking was a little bit of problem (their small lot was full) but everything else was wonderful. Disc golf course can be a little crowded as well but it's worth the fun. read more

This is a lovely nature filled walk that is great if you are in a wheelchair, or are older and find it hard to walk on a natural path because of balance issues, as it is accessible. There are a few people there during noon time, but the path is wide. It is a nice walk for dogs as well. If you go off the paved path to the bark dust path at the end, there are 2 graves there with a headstone one of William Brian Parker Burt the other of his wife Irene, usual, but interesting. read more

Orchard Park is a cute, compact park with nice paved walking trails. There's a small parking lot, a small playground, and a disc golf course. I've never done anything here except for walk, so I can't speak for the disc golf course. The trails are really nice, accessible and flat. A nice place to spend a sunny afternoon. read more
