    Some nice trails

A very nice neighborhood park with well maintained trails. It also has a disc golf course and basketball hoops. There are some amazing trees in here that are HUGE. I loved that! There is also a fenced in dog park on the one side that seemed to draw quite a few people in. Watch out for the dog poop. It seems like this spot has a lot of people who don't pick it up. If you are in the area I would recommend it.

This review is for the disc gold course-the other part of the park looked beautiful though. The disc golf course is majestic. I played 18 in October in the off and in rain, and it was amazing. The course is above average difficulty with many tight lines, but it does have a few wide open holes where you are able to unleash and not necessarily worry about hitting a tree. It took us about 3 hours to play the 18. The holes are fairly easy to find, the signage is up to date and the course is very clean. If you have every played the Golden Gate park in San Francisco, Pier Park is very similar but bigger. Definitely recommend. * you can park inside of the loop right by hole 1 tee pad.

HUGE!!! This park is insanely big! They have everything from a skate park, Frisbee golf, to even a play ground. Bring your dog because a dog park is connected! This is my go to lunch spot, to get away from work and enjoy some piece and quiet. Bottom line-- Enjoy the outdoors in the middle of the city. Go here!

Quite possibly my favorite park in Portland. The disc golf course is really great, awesome playgrounds for kids and the park also has baseball diamonds and trails for you and your dog to explore. It's not trashy or gross like some of Portland more visited parks, but that's why I love this quiet and beautiful place If you liked the show Grimm, some scenes were filmed here and there's a little sign commemorating the park.

I've visited this park a couple times for one reason: disc golf. There are many amenities including a softball field, tennis courts, picnic tables and a playground but I came for the disc. There's a pleasant little 18-hole course tucked inside this park. It winds through the wooded areas and reminds me a lot of the course in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco. It's reasonably challenging but not overly easy either - very accessible to a wide range of skill levels. There's a healthy variety of hole layouts although quite a few are just straight, flat shots through some trees. Nevertheless, I've thoroughly enjoyed the 2 rounds I've played here and would highly recommend this park to anyone exploring Portland disc golf courses.

Excellent place to play disc golf. Very large and beautiful park. Lots of trees to make the disc golf a little challenging.

Nice large park except for the aggro frisbee golfers. Get a life. Way to ruin a park.

Does this park have a splash pad?

I unfortunately have not seen one!

Does pier park have a bathroom open and if so where?

As I can remember it from years back yes? If it did not I would remember that more clearly?

Probably one of the best courses I've played. The rooms are nice and the beds are comfortable. That's not too say they are perfect as they could use a little finish work, but I can overlook that with the amazing property. One thing I was disappointed with is that when we booked our stay everything said this was a Bed and "Breakfast". And there were countless reviews that said the breakfast was one of the highlights. We came expecting some delicious hot breakfasts to start our days, especially with a holiday where everything around was closed. Unfortunately, they recently changed to only providing continental breakfast... Not what I was expecting especially for a bed and breakfast that I feel I paid the premium for. This is a solid 4-star place but with the removal of hot breakfasts, I could easily have rated it as 3 instead. It wouldn't have been as big of a deal if we had been given a heads up before we arrived of the change, we could have planned ahead for it by bringing something to make our own. With that said, Adam goes out of his way to make sure you are well taken care of and comfortable the entire stay. They set up a grill so we could cook hamburgers and he was great to talk disc golf with. They also have a great spot to enjoy a fire, toast marshmallows, and make smores. They also have $5 pay to play if you just want to play disc golf and not stay at the inn.

We then saw many people come, get seated, order, get served and start eating before we were able to get someones attention. It took basically accosting someone to tell them we exist for some to help us. 40 minutes in, a guy we haven't seen yet comes over and we are finally able to order. We had to ask after about 15 minutes if we can have our drinks. About 1 hour and 30 minutes in, we see a girl walking around the area with a tray of food, checking every table except ours (because apparently we're invisible), we flag her down to ask if its our food and sure enough it was. So, we finally get our food. Its mediocre at best, not hot, barely even "warm". We come the Grand Lodge once per month at minimum and the service is usually fine. I dont know how they dropped the ball this bad. I would blame it on it being St. Patty's Day and so they're pretty busy, but that didnt seem to affect anyone else. Just us. I felt personal. The whole experience was severely disappointing and maybe the worst service I've ever had in my life.

It was chilly and raining so I grabbed the closest seat I could to the fire to keep warm. This is a tiny lil pub and during the warmer months it's a great place to dine outside at one of the picnic tables. Service was good and friendly Food was typical McMenamins fair. We did have the smash burger that was in the happy hour menu and it was pretty tasty and just the perfect size, not too heavy and not too light for pub hopping in the property.
