I enjoyed taking my 2.5 year old toddler here on weekday mornings. Great playground equipment, never very busy. We were visiting from out of town, and staying nearby.
However, on a sunny Sunday morning a group of baseball players were batting and a man approached us saying that a ball might be hit into the playground area where our young child is playing. I couldn't believe my ears. If they know this is a safety hazard, they should tell the man who hits home runs not to hit the ball super hard. A ball that big flying into a playground could be potentially fatal for a little one.
We also all agreed Portland Parks should not have put a playground that close to the outfield, or they should build a taller fence.
So, learning about these new safety hazards has really changed my mind about this playground.
