    Let me get straight to the point by saying, we chose to have our wedding at Orchard Creek Lodge and it was honestly the best decision we could have made. The entire process from start to finish was so seamless and wonderful, it really made wedding planning a fun, stress fee experience. I would highly recommend this venue for any event. Just like many of you, I searched and toured dozens of venues and become quickly discouraged not finding one that seemed to fit my budget and all my wedding dreams. Then I happened upon Orchard Creek, made an appointment with Kathy to tour the venue and after touring and talking with Kathy I knew that this was the place I had been searching for. It seemed to good to be true! It was very affordable, fit our budget and had everything we were looking for, most importantly, it is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!! (Not to mention the adorable bridal suite!) Kathy Cameron is truly an angel!! She is seriously the best ever! She is so sweet and hilarious and has so much experience in this industry, she was extremely helpful with the entire process and with any questions or concerns we had. She was always quick to respond to emails/questions and always willing to give advice and help in any way possible. She truly made the entire process very enjoyable and completely stress free! Our wedding day at Orchard Creek was absolutely perfect! Everything was set up exactly as we wanted, the food was delicious, the entire catering staff was super nice and professional and very helpful to any needs throughout the entire night. I honestly can't think of a single bad thing to say, it was just simply perfection! Many of our guests have told us that it was one of the most beautiful and most fun weddings they have ever attended. If you feel overwhelmed in choosing a venue, I highly highly recommend at least taking the time to come tour Orchard Creek and chat with Kathy. You won't regret it and you might just fall in love like we did! HUGE THANK YOU to Kathy, Don and the entire catering staff for all of your help and for making the wedding of our dreams come true!

    We had our wedding ceremony here and the venue here is very scenic and beautiful. Meghan was really nice showing us around. Don was our rehearsal/wedding day coordinator that was very helpful. The walk down to the alter is about 2 minutes. During rehearsals, it's easy to walk down the path that the coordinator shows you but once the chairs are added during the wedding, it became really hard to see where you're supposed to turn. They allowed us to use all of the facilities needed for the wedding. We used the dressing rooms to put down our purses, etc. The rooms do not lock though. Our wedding day was 115 degrees and it was hot. We had our ceremony during the morning but it was still very hot for our guests to sit. It was about 80 degrees at 10:30 in the morning. I wish they have more shade for the guests to sit under since Lincoln gets really hot. My only complaint is that during the actual ceremony, they had another coordinator with Don that we didn't work with us during rehearsals. She had quite a delay in me walking down towards the aisle and was not something we had practiced during rehearsals. It was really annoying that she wouldn't let me walk down because i knew it would take some time to get down. People waited some time for me to come down.

We had multiple goals during the planning process - to make sure the wedding at our expansive venue still felt like us, to make sure our guests had a good time, and to have everything planned to the point where we'd just show up and be present. During the planning process: They worked around our schedules. We would sometimes have to meet after work hours but in between, we would respond via text or email for any quick decisions. They were very receptive to feedback and guided us through decisions that aligned with our budget and design goals. They also attempted to curate and present choices that reflected our personalities - they made consistent efforts to get to know us each step of the way, which helped make our wedding truly feel like ours. They crafted presentations (even these were beautiful!) with options for each vendor, including the costs and their portfolio so that we would be able to make informed decisions They helped us handle all communication and negotiations of pricing with our vendors In the end, we definitely had an A+ team to have the wedding beyond our dreams. I am in awe and filled with immense appreciation and gratitude for what they do. The week of our wedding, my coworkers were surprised that I was so calm. It was an odd feeling as there were no worries to be had and we were just able to focus on making sure our families were getting into town okay. On the day of the wedding, Jenn made sure our tea ceremony was set up and ready to go while Morgan handled set up at the venue. They made sure we were fed and hydrated throughout the day. There were some family issues/hiccups that they took care of for us so gracefully that no one noticed anything was amiss. We were able to mingle and take pictures with our guests without worrying about anything else. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the wedding. Our vendors have even commented on how thorough and thoughtful they were in helping with managing timelines. Our wedding was a week ago and we are still receiving compliments with requests for all our vendors. Overall, if we were to go back in time, we would choose to work with JRE a million times over.

We worked closely with Lead Planner Morgan Thompson and shared our vision with her. She kept our ideas in mind, and took our wedding beyond what we imagined! She helped us find our reception venue then nail down our vendors. She took it a step further and helped make our details with invitations, escort display and dinner one-of-a-kind and memorable for our guests! Our friends and family LOVED and commented a lot on our invitations! Many of our guests remarked on how amazing Morgan was as a planner. Our officiant even said she was the best he had ever worked with! There were a lot of moving parts on our wedding day - changing locations, coordinating shuttles, timing out our reception dinner with different courses to make the evening flow - and the wedding went smoothly! There also wasn't a blueprint for a wedding ceremony on a ship, but Morgan created it for us. She made a mock-up of the ship's dimensions to figure out the aisle and seating placement. As a bride there's already a lot to think about on your wedding day, but I felt at ease knowing I was in good hands with Jenn Robirds Events.

She charged us $1000 to coordinate our wedding the "Day Of" (Note- the contract states that the "Day Of package" starts 8-6 weeks before the wedding)...Well, our wedding was 3 weeks away and I had to contact her to remind her about my wedding! Once I did that, we set up an appointment to discuss wedding details. Now, the day of the appointment she was few minutes late (which I hated because I had my 3 month old baby with me and I was on a schedule to feed him). Plus, I just hated the fact that she was late! In my opinion wedding coordinators are like real estate agents, they need to arrive before the client does! At the end of the appointment she told me that "everything was on her hands now and that everything would be less stressful for me." Well, complete lies! Vendors were still contacting me and I still had to deal with a lot of stuff. When I asked her if she had contacted all the vendors, she told me she was "too busy" and that she "would do it soon." I mean, my wedding was around the corner and she was "too busy" to do the things I hired for! The day of the rehearsal we were supposed to meet 30 mins before anyone would get there to discuss about the decorations she was going to set up. Well, once again she was LATE! She got there when everyone else did, so we couldn't talk freely. Also, that day she brought her assistant because she had other "things to do," and her assistant took over our rehearsal. I paid her to be there, and she only showed up for 10 mins! The day of the wedding she was there, but from what I heard and saw she did very little. I actually think the venue coordinator did more for us (bringing us food and drinks, making sure we were comfortable, etc) than Grace. Not to mention that my husband told me that at the end of the event, him and his best man (wearing their tuxedos) were cleaning the venue and bridal room because she wasn't doing it! Something we paid for! To end this review, Grace completely disappointed me and my husband. We were not happy with her business and we felt like it was a waste of money. The funny part is that if you go to her instagram page @gracefulgatherings she reposted our wedding video making it seem like she did a great job, when in fact she was the worst vendor we had. So I'm hoping she removes our video from her page because we do not recommend her at all!

I am a super type-A person who already knew what I wanted for floral and decor coming into the working relationship and they not only brought it to life but Cindee was so helpful in offering guidance and building on the ideas I already had.     I'm sorry but as much as I've tried to get past this it will always haunt me…read more Sandy was hired by my mother for my wedding August 2, 2025. I wish I could give a better rating but I just can't, had she not taken a back seat approach I would have. I'm sure Sandy will leave something to contradict everything I have written but honestly I just wish she would have been way more professional and not let her feelings affect my big day. I am usually a high rater when I do reviews and most of my other reviews reflect that. I've written many over the years so if I'm writing a review, there's a reason. I'm not going to sit here and draw out a big list so message me if you'd like the 411. The ceremony was pretty good other than the guests being out in the hot sun for 20 minutes , I'll give her that. As for the reception , i didn't know is the videographer didn't have the video montage that all our parents were working with him on and Sandy didn't want my mom to fix it. Sandy was in a bad mood due to this and was pouting and my husband, my mother and I paid the price. She is still upset about things, understandably so. The reception started out good until sunset/golden hour photos. I was given zero instruction for this, there was no communication whatsoever and there should have been. When it was running longer for whatever reason my mom wanted to wrap up the photos yet Sandy said no. Sandy repeatedly didn't listen to my mother even though she paid her and even tipped her at the end. I will admit initially our response was everything was fine but after we sat with it, it just wasn't. Bottom line- time taking photo after photo could have been cut short and I could have gotten to mingle with my guests. Some of them flew from far away to make it to our wedding. I'll never get that back and that saddens me most. I've been told by guests that while they had a decent time, they wish they got to spend time with us. Most did not get any time with us. Edited to add: communication, and delivery should have been better, all of it was severely lacking. Both my husband and I have tried to contact Sandy about our concerns. Not once did she really listen. I wish she would have been professional but she just was not. This is the honest truth of how things turned out. She also trashed my mother and my maid of honor online and would not take down her post until my mom told her that my friend has a disability Why am I writing this now? I'd written something like this a while back ago but decided to take it down, but now I think that some time has passed I can write a version that reads better. So my advice: proceed with caution. Going into the process, we had no idea what we didn't know. Things like vendors, day of logistics, even how our wedding parties would organize themselves on our wedding day was a mystery to us and having Sandy in our corner helped us in a million ways. Her connections in the wedding industry helped us narrow down and select vendors with ease. She secured us a last minute photo booth which ended being a huge highlight of our night. It even rained on our wedding day, right before our outdoor ceremony, but Sandy was on top of everything and organized guests to help dry and reset our venue behind the scenes. Our wedding was amazing and we owe so much of that to Sandy. I dont make many yelp reviews but our experience with Strings & Champagne Events was so positive that I had to log in and recommend this to anyone looking to host an event in the NorCal area. The SSE Team was able to maintain consistent communication while balancing long distance scheduling constraints as my Husband and I live and work in San Francisco while the event was in the Amador Foothills. This incredible mother / daughter duo bring passion, experience, and style to the events they coordinate while offering an unbeatable value to their clients. This facility has only been open for a year and I found it to be very pleasant. There is an indoor pool, hot tub, small outdoor patio, free breakfast, and free Wi-Fi. I do regret not bringing my swimsuit... There was nobody in the pool. Even the hot tub was not busy the entire time I was there. The patio had a small fire pit on it, but I did not end up being outside to use it. The lobby was beautifully decorated and in the evening, it was very bright inside the lobby when we got back from the concert. There was free breakfast served, but I did not stick around to enjoy any of that. There is plenty of seating though for those who do. Check-in was a breeze. I was able to pre-check in the day before we arrived. That made the process really smooth. When I arrived, I only had to provide my last name ID. It took me under five minutes to get my room key. The room itself was excellent! The bed was extremely comfortable and the pillows provided were too. The room felt squeaky clean. The bathroom size is rather large in my opinion. There's a small refrigerator in the room as well as a microwave. There were plenty of outlets for charging. There was a rather generous amount of small rags provided too. Overall, should I want to see another concert, I would totally come back. This hotel is located near a Walgreens, and a very small strip mall that is easily walked to. There were a couple restaurants in the strip mall, including a Leatherby's. We went there for dinner and found that to be quite pleasant. Check out was a breeze as I was able to do that from my phone. Personally, I don't think I found any faults with my stay there.

    A Convenient, Comfortable Stay -- Solid and Reliable…read more Can I stay at this new establishment? Yes. And not just for convenience, but for comfort too. My wife and I stayed here while attending a concert at the casino down the road, and it worked perfectly as a place to get ready for the evening and recharge for the next day. From the moment we walked in, the staff greeted us with warm smiles. The interior was clean, well-kept, and the overall look fit the area and local vibe nicely. One thing I really appreciated was the location -- not only does the hotel occupy a good space, but there are plenty of nearby food options, coffee spots, and family-friendly local eateries within walking distance. We could actually see most of them right from our room window, which was a nice bonus. If you check out the photos I posted, you'll see just how clean and comfortable the room was. One of my biggest hotel tests is always the bed. Is it too firm? Too soft? Squeaky? Anything that messes with sleep is a dealbreaker for me. Happy to report -- the bed passed the test. I slept well, which matters most. The next morning, we hit the complimentary breakfast. It was standard fare: waffles, eggs, potatoes, oatmeal, cereal, juice, and sausage. Nothing exceptional, but also nothing to complain about. And honestly, when staying somewhere like this, it's really about having a clean place to sleep and recharge -- which it delivered on. I gave this stay three stars because it did exactly what it needed to do. It was adequate, comfortable, and convenient -- and I do plan to return the next time we attend a concert at the nearby casino. One heads-up: if you're staying for a concert, chances are most of the guests are there for the same reason, and breakfast the next morning gets packed. If you stay here, leave a review and let me know how your experience compares to mine.
