Five Stars Isn't Enough! I am absolutely over the moon with my experience at Orcas Island Pottery! Twenty years ago, when my husband and I got married, we had a custom, one-of-a-kind set of dinner plates, bowls, and more made for us by Sid, the incredibly talented owner. We originally ordered 16, knowing that over time, a few might break. After two decades of daily use, we were down to 11 dinner plates - and I reached out hoping it might be possible to recreate the same special pattern. Not only did they say yes, but they truly went above and beyond. With their new kiln and Sid's expert craftsmanship, they were able to create a beautiful new set of eight dinner plates that match the originals perfectly. The plates are absolutely stunning--elegant, meaningful, and filled with care. I'm beyond grateful to have these pieces back in our home, full of memories and ready for new ones. Thank you, Sid, and everyone at Orcas Island Pottery, for your incredible work and heart. We couldn't be happier!

Third Stop: "A Perfect Day on Orcas island" Collection https://www.yelp.com/collection/Bgd9G40BjYMmHuJoM5MpHw This is the coolest pottery place on Planet Earth!!! It's got a unique "Hobbit" look and feel. We alway stop here and we alway buy something or this time a lot of things. Got to stimulate the economy, right? The people are really nice. You must check this place out.

Love this place every time I visit. The setting, the vibe, the artistry, the staff. I wasn't going to buy anything, just browse, but guess what? They ship! So I picked out a few lovely mugs that were waiting for me when I got home. Definitely make this a stop when visiting the island!

    So neat!

What a cute little serene space! So many items to chose from and all are dishwasher and microwave safe, amazing!! There are several building located on the property and a small parking lot. When you enter the yard you are greeted with wonderful creations through the pathways. You can find ornaments, useful objects, entire sets of dishware or just an artistic piece. If you have something in mind you want talk to them I bet they could create it for you. Everyone u had the pleasure of speaking with was very friendly and helpful.

Such a lovely spot! Lots of pottery and ceramic options from many different artists. There's something for everyone's style! We Forest Ceramics items there, and later discovered they have a spot in the center of town. Check out is made easy and staff are friendly and informative. And the treehouse is a particular favorite of our kids.

My husband and I were visiting Orcas for our honeymoon. We knew we wanted to stop at this shop for some souvenirs, so we were happy to discover that they were open. It's an outdoor, mostly contactless (until you need to pay) venue. It's absolutely gorgeous with a tree house, beautiful flowers, and interesting little nooks and crannies where pottery is out on display. They have all kinds of items at various price points, including a clearance table. The art is made by many different artists, and there were a few signs to give information about the person who made the item. Since we had to fly home, we knew we had to pick out smaller pieces. My husband immediately knew that he wanted a coffee mug. He picked out one with a unique shape and an intricate blue glaze. I am much slower with decision making so I looked at everything TWICE before settling on TWO pieces. The one with a tapered top, I'm thinking of using to store my paint brushes. The other, I'm not sure yet, but I thought it was so beautiful I couldn't pass it up! The woman who rang us up packaged the items well, so we were able to get them home without any damage. I'd love to come back again in the future for anniversary trips!

Simply remarkable and creative pottery. Excellent staff to work with when it comes to selecting and processing your order. Thank you Beth. Nothing pretentious here, just quality and precision pottery. It's a must see while on Orcas ! The grounds alone are spectacular to browse. Super Special thanks to Kimberly for the many e-mails back and forth, and to Sean, the artist, who's cups/glasses I bought that are in one of the photos - some extra miles put in :) Such a pleasure to see beautiful work and to be dealt with kindly and professionally.

This is an island treasure, one of the most beautiful locations on the island. From the beautiful landscape to the beautiful beachfront. It's a place you should plan multiple trips to while on island! Hard to find places like this with so much beauty and character in the pieces. Do yourself a favor and visit this place, if you can go on a sunny day!

Treehouse that you can climb and admire from afar-your choice!

Orcas Island Pottery is worth a stop on your way to or from East Sound. There is pottery made on site for sale in three small houses, and some pottery even comes in a series. That's not to say each piece isn't unique, it's just that you don't have to choose between a bowl or a cup. Or a platter. The options are plentiful and moderately priced. It's art but it's also art that you can use as well as put on display. There are also other types of pottery for sale inside the houses and outside. In the summer, the outside would be great for a private event or just to enjoy the scenery. Our visit coincided with icy weather and snowfall, but we still walked through the grounds and enjoyed the still water and the products. There is a small section with "imperfect" pieces on sale, too. The treehouse on the property is also a joy to climb up as an adult or a child. It's well-constructed and probably very popular in the summer!

Off the main road and not sure if we were heading to a hidden place or on the right single car forest road. Once you get there and open the gate to walk in, you see this is the place. Beautiful pottery and so many colors and items. A little pricey for me, but beautiful work.

We went on a weekend trip to Orcas Island, and found this as a must see when on island. I was very impressed with the selection of items for sale and the multiple houses on the compound, showcasing the pottery. As well as the amazing tree house! Should I repeat a Tree House! Also a swing set in the back for "kids only".

    Beautiful bowls

Love their pottery and has an amazing vibe too. Most of their stuff is microwave/dishwasher safe which is a huge plus. Grassy area in the back with a swing and treehouse offering great views of the water. Definitely worth a stop!

Amazing amount of pottery to choose from! We brought home 3 pieces from one of the many sets and I can't wait to use them in my kitchen!

We went there for the first time this trip. The pottery is beautifully made but $42 for a coffee mug? Why are they so expensive?

I am crazy confused. How does this place not get written about by every visitor to Orcas??…read more You've seen the driveway entrance to their place from the main highway. Giant, shiny, reflective, metal spinning imploding-then-exploding undulating spikey flower-like moving sculptures. That may be a clunky way of describing it, but I bet you know what I'm talking about now. Going up [their] long driveway, I felt like I was going to somebody's house for a visit. Yowza, I wish I lived here! Nestled at the end of the road, lies a small house, a small studio for the more delicate sculptures and a large "yard" interspersed with moving metal. I didn't take pictures of the studio's sculptures, and frankly, my iPhone photos really don't capture how magnificent the outside moving sculptures are. These larger pieces adorning the meadow, powered by wind and continued momentum are astounding. Some are free-standing, some attached to trees. All are fascinating to watch--I was nearly hypnotized by some of the more complicated ones. Shiny, shiny. If I had $2K - $10K to spend on these, I totally would. They are stunning. Everybody should have one in their yard. You will love it and tell all your friends about this place after seeing it for yourself! Just gorgeous.
