Essentially, I got six…read moremonths and during that time period, Beejay Brooks (my trainer) got me into pretty decent shape from a guy who looks like he's written 1620 Yelp reviews. Give that man a hand! That was some hard ass work. Speaking of work, Beejay had an excellent eye for determining whether you were at peak levels or whether you needed a day with a bit less intensity. He definitely gave a lot of attention to your macros and diet (far more than anyone I've worked with in the past). He's very no nonsense and that's probably not for everyone. If you aren't going to put in the hard work to manage your diet, you will fail and he will let you know it. But if you put in the work, you'd be very hard pressed to find a better trainer in San Antonio (I did work with some of the other trainers at Hasfit and I got to say they were all stellar). Overall, you are going to have to spend some coin (I was at just under $500/month) but when you start seeing the results of that spent money, you aren't going to miss it. You're going to be thankful for the transformative experience as you become fitter and healthier.

One thing I loved was how motivating the coaches were, how they focus on one on one interaction, and most importantly push you to your limits, in all that you're capable of. This gym will be more than just your gym, they will become family, they will push you to be better and work harder. I miss Tejasfit every single day and have yet to find a gym like it. However... ...the reason I'm giving it only one star is the fact that the instructor picked up his phone and tablet to text/check emails, whatever, no less than 10 TIMES during our one-on-one 60 min training session, which at $80 an hour was completely disrespectful and unacceptable. He acted like that was totally normal, so I'm sure it's a habitual thing. When I let him know that it wasn't a good fit, he assumed it was the methodology (which I actually really liked) and didn't follow up to ask for feedback. ***UPDATE 3/30/15*** The owner called me to apologize a few days ago. In addition, he refunded my session fee. I honestly don't know that this trainer would change his iHabits, but I think the owner was sorry about the experience.
