I attended an Orange Theory introduction fitness class in St Augustine, FL, off Ponce De Leon road. My experience was spectacular, and I would love to share why. BEFORE CLASS: I first arrived 30 minutes early to the 9:45 AM class. I introduced myself, filled out paper work, & then reviewed the terms of agreement from the front desk as well. We also discussed any potential injuries or areas of discomfort before the class began. Finally, I received a bracelet that monitored my calories / heart levels that were displayed on the screen for health tracking purposes. I then was greeted by Devin who was very accommodating & very friendly. She took the time to show me around the facility, broke down the class structure, & introduced me to the team. I then placed my personally belongings in a secure locker. Next, I received an introduction from Coach Renee. She was fantastic! If I could brag about her immensely, I would! She took the time to introduce herself, show me the equipment, & explained the breakdown of the class. There was also a moment of conversation with members in the lobby before the class began which showed the cohesiveness between staff and members. DURING CLASS: I absolutely loved every part of the class! I enjoyed the different variety of workouts, the intensity, & the coaching / music. The class reminding me of HIIT workouts (if you are familiar with it). Coach Renee corrected any mistakes of the form while also maintaining upbeat behavior with the class. I also noticed during the class that she did not push anyone above their comfort level. Students were working at their own pace & Coach Renee encouraged them to work hard & do what is comfortable. When we were done, we made sure to sanitize and clean our workout area & reset for the next class. AFTER CLASS: Whew! What a wonderful workout! At the end of the class, I felt accomplished. I burned 480 calories & felt super energized. Coach Renee went over the summary of my workout. We discussed my heart levels, calories burned, & progress throughout the class. She shook my hand & encouraged me to continue on to reach my workout goals. I then gathered my belongings from the secure locker & headed to the front desk to discuss payment options. I received a breakdown of different workout plans & payment plans which was very detailed. All in all, my experience was fantastic. I enjoyed the atmosphere, the team, & the workouts. I've visited at least 50-75+ Orange Theory locations and I love this one! The staff is very friendly and laid back. I never have trouble getting into a class. I have no trouble getting in a complete workout EVERY time I take a class. The coaches are flexible and understand that different customers have different fitness needs. I get mind blowing cardio here! The front desk staff is very friendly and I've had no issues with the equipment, etc. I took Angel and Eric's classes mostly and they're AWESOME instructors! Just moved to area and tried to do the "free" 1 time class to check out with my daughter who was in town. When I showed up since my drivers license still reflected prior address they charged me $25...I told them I do live here but she didn't budge off of $25 charge. I paid and went to class because wanted to workout and try to see if I may want to join. After I sent email with copy of my utility bill requesting reimbursement for the free class and crickets...no response. Do not go to this business they are only about money as they would have rather had my $25 than a client. My wife and I joined another club to workout. read more

Was in St. Augustine for 6 months, and signed up with St. Augustine as my home studio for that period, although the pandemic got in the way! The reception staff was super friendly, and remained helpful throughout our membership period. We signed up for the couples membership which takes $10 off for each of us per month, a small savings, but its still nice! Also got free heart rate monitors (the one that goes around the waist, not the best to use, and/or put on, but appreciated the free monitor). There are 3 levels: - Orange Premier aka Unlimited - Orange Elite aka 8 classes/month - Orange Basic aka 4 classes/month - There is also an option where you can pay per class, but it is wildly more expensive than signing up for a month-to-month option. We did the unlimited membership and generally attended class 3-4x/week from February-March before the pandemic, and then went back again in June when they re-opened for a 2 weeks to finish out our month of membership! Was so grateful that they held our membership, did not charge, and then honored the 2 weeks leftover in our "month," before we cancelled. Cancelling was easy, we just had to let them know 30 days before, otherwise there is a cancellation fee. The water fountain was consistently broke which would be my only qualm, so there was only warm/normal water from the water fountain as opposed to cold water. This was difficult because I drink a lot of water during my workout, but had to adjust! Loved all the instructors, and my favorites that I got to work with were EJ, Jordan & Chelsea. Overall great experience at this OrangeTheory, and I loved it so much that I'm continuing my membership in New York. To be fair St. Augustine is cheaper than New York locations, and to note pricing is different across the country dependent on the studio, but still worth that serious after burn. OrangeTheory is different than any other workout you've experienced and the coaches really push you to work harder and be better! The motivation is worth it! They also have a free trial class so you can see if you like the setup and class style, I would definitely try a free class to see if you think it is a good fit for you! read more

Started going to Orange Theory Fitness a year ago. It has literally changed my life, I have lost over 100 pounds. I'm in the best shape of my life. The coaches are the BEST! I enjoy going to the new studios while I am traveling. The main criteria I look for are Front desk knowing what they are doing. Strider/bike cards are must so that there is no conflict. Motivated coaches who enjoy being a coach and help participants - Jason is really good. Asking basic questions about whether you're new to otf or to the coach. High five after workout is a good gesture that I like. read more

OTF is the only workout I've found that has allowed to successfully manage my weight with a busy schedule and working long hours at a sedentary desk job. I've been a member for 3 years. Also I travel frequently for work throughout Florida as well as to other US cities. So for me, one of the best things about being an OTF member is that you can use clubs in different areas. The policies are the same at all clubs, bring a credit card and ID, fill out the liability waiver and allow them time to find your home studio in the computer. I have to really compliment this club for accommodating me as I arrived last minute twice in a row. I should have arrived at least 10, if not 15 minutes prior to class as they get super busy with everyone arriving at once right before class. So I want to really thank them for accommodating me and address the other review since I had a good experience as a visiting member. Also I just wanted to say this is one of the best clubs I've been to, with friendly reception at the front, top notch professional trainers both in the morning with EJ and in the evening with Jaime, and great equipment including the treadmills with touch button speed and incline adjustments. I adore my St Augustine OrangeTheory Fitness workouts because the COACHES inspire & motivate me to give it my ALL!!! From Day 1 I have felt that my OrangeTheory Fitness workout was the MOST efficient workout I had ever had!! In 55 minutes I put in more effort and get my Heart Rate higher than ever before for 12+ minutes, aka -Splat Points. As said above, I love the Motivation and Inspiration of the caring and attentive COACHES. They are dynamic and helpful all at the same time. I don't know how they keep us all going so amazingly well. I also need to talk about the RECEPTION Staff. They are ALL exceptional!! Helpful, Caring, Attentive, did I already say, HELPFUL!!?? They make EACH member feel important and valued that they are there. They comment on "missing us" if we are not in class. I travel often and have the opportunity to go to OrangeTheory Fitness in many different Cities, States and many different Countries. Highly shady business model, don't sign up for this gym unless you want to have a nightmare canceling service. We moved away and we're given the runaround multiple times when we tried to cancel. They don't let you cancel over the phone, and when you email they don't accept it because you have to sign a paper and scan it back. Don't waste your time with this shady business model! read more

I love the structured program and the blend of weight training and cardio. The studio is clean and organized and equipment is wiped down after each client uses it. Most of the staff is friendly and helpful. The coaches guide you during workouts for proper form. The best part of this program is that the instructors do not work out while you are working out, their focus is On you. read more

I was really hesitant about group fitness prior to joining OTF, but then I took my first class with Coach EJ and let me tell you- I'm obsessed. All of the staff get to know you personally and eventually the gym feels like a second home. The classes are fun, challenging and the coaches maintain an upbeat atmosphere. It is 1000% a judgement free zone, so no worries there. I highly recommend OTF if you're looking for a new gym. read more

Very shady business. I used to be a member of Orange Theory about three years ago in North Carolina. For the past few years since then, I have been a member of F45 in both New Zealand and in New Orleans (which I highly recommend over OTF). Recently, I just graduated from college and I came to Saint Augustine to visit my mom for about one month. Because there is no F45, I signed up for Orange Theory's free trial class assuming I would be eligible because it has been years since I was a member, and in a different area (was trying to see if it was something I wanted to be a member of again). Well, upon arrival I was told that the class would be free and I was given two options for memberships (only wanted one month because I would be leaving at the end of July). I took the class and 4 days later I get charged $28 for a drop-in fee. I called and asked what that was from and they told me that it was because I did not have a valid Saint Augustine ID. Well, that was never told to me when I arrived because I'm sorry... I definitely would not have signed up for a 60 minute class for $28. That is absolutely ridiculous. Both people on the phone continued to gaslight me and even told me "well I'm sorry that you don't remember, but we did tell you that you would be charged because you are not a local"...Just because I don't have a drivers license in this state does not mean I am not local? I have plenty of bills and mail in my name to a local St. Augustine address. Even if I wasn't local, they did not clearly explain that I would be charged $28 if I didn't get a membership. So, clearly they are just trying to overcharge people and get away with it. I will never be returning to Orange Theory. read more

The staff at this location is fantastic. I have had issues with setting up an account AND my chest strap HR monitor since day one and no matter how frustrating the issues are they've all maintained a positive and polite outlook and have honestly gone above and beyond to help me out. I have worked in the service industry for a long time and know, first hand, how annoying it can be when people continuously have issues with stuff but everyone here has been amazing. I came to visit my parents, who live in Anastasia Island, and thought I'd get a workout at OTF with my wife, brother and sister. We all have small children and had a tight window to get a good workout in (baby sitter, etc.) I've been to OTF studios in CT, Denver (where I live), NYC, and pretty much everywhere else I travel. I am beyond confident to say this studio is the worst I've ever been to. We called ahead to see what we needed to do for a first timer (my brother) and they said "just show up"....well we "just showed up" and were told we should have arrived 30 min earlier to get used to the equipment. We clearly explained what was communicated to us and the manager became incredibly condescending and said "well you shouldn't have arrived 4 min before class" (we arrived 10), and "I'll make sure corporate hears about this". Hears about what???? Your horrible attitude? I sure hope they do. Will never visit this place again. read more

Orangetheory St. Augustine is so great. I was skeptical to go with my back issues when my daughter said "come mom you can do it". I went and joined immediately. The staff here is so wonderful. The coaches are exceptional. I attend classes at least 4 times a week and really enjoy my workouts. The coaches know my limitations and are so helpful. Prior to joining I was shown all of the equipment and was told exactly what to expect. Great caring staff and coaches!!! If I could give more than 5 stars I would!!! read more

Love this gym. The staff is so supportive and friendly. I love going to them even at 5am. I can feel changes in my body and my energy levels. I highly recommend this gym if you feel unmotivated. I highly recommend for OTF for former college athletes trying to find something to help motivate them to get back to the gym. Me being a former college athlete, I was able to stick to a workout routine that kept me in shape for a couple years after college. But when I had kids, got a new job, bought a house, etc, my workouts where put on the back burner. Then I tried getting back to the gym years later and I ran into a wall. I wasn't motivated. I would go to the gym but I was basically going through the motions. It wasn't until I joined at Orange Theory of Saint Augustine that I began to have some of that self motivation and accountability. I now see myself being more aware of what I eat, how I look, and how I feel. I don't know what it was whether it be the coaches, other members, or the idea that I could come to workout and not have to put any thought into what to do and just push myself because the workout has already been prepped. In the beginning I was hung up on joining based on the price alone. Then I considered the diet and workout supplements that I have been taking that I didn't know if they even working and found myself spending more on them then the actual cost of the OTF gym membership itself. So I decided to switch and I honestly believe it was the best decision that I could have made. Instead of putting a foreign supplement into my body, I am working out the old fashion way through hard work. So if your considering joining Orange theory Fitness, sign up for a month and I can guarantee you wont regret it. read more
