That was until last week when a new "Manager" was hired. My 14 year old son and I were working out and she discriminated and harassed me, also went as far as calling the local Police to escort me out! (Humiliated) As I looked around others were wearing the same type and brand shirt which I made her aware of. She stated it looks different on you because it shows more of your chest, "this was discrimination" it's because I have a wider frame body! Unfortunately because of a single employee I'll be moving to another gym along with my wife and 4 children. If you're looking for a gym I would NOT recommend Planet Fitness Appleton WI West!!!!

That said, Empower is...pretty good. The instructors are good, the classes are enjoyable, the heat is improving. Probably the biggest complaint is really the physicality of the location. There is no anteroom for changing, waiting, etc. This is a limitation caused by location and there is little to be done about this, but it keeps Empower from earning another star (or two). Those terms provided by one of their employees completely changed once I provided my ACH information. Any calls to corporate aren't staffed and they refer you to your local gym. They have stopped responding to me and have made unauthorized charges to my card. Pretty slimy. Nothing like trying to retain new guests, work with me, or even ask why I wanted to cancel in the first place! Take your business elsewhere! Hot yoga class was staffed by someone with limited experience. Barre class was staffed by a sub. Facilities are clean. Business ethics, basic decency, and responsiveness - abhorrent.
