They're excuse was "everyone runs their offices differently". Additionally the same person that "sanitizes" the rooms also walks around the office holding a small dog. Unprofessional and unsanitary.

Fast fwd to Nov 2020 when I received my set of sure smile. After waiting 6 months. Yup i waited 6 months (lets blame it on covid) They were produced and they didn't fit. Had to cut a pieceoff to wear. My top never fit around my teeth. They reorder me more due to their error. Prolonging this procedure again. Not getting the new set again. February 2021. At this point I had them off longe than on. Still receiving the new set of sure smile. That didn't fit, still wrong. Which now is when I start to see They are being weird. When I asked why. (Never got redone,) was forced to wear them without a good fit so that means all teeth weren't moving properly. Now we get to 11/2/22 the assistance walks into the room and says here's your retainer which was #40/40 from the set purchased. Which don't fit. I state i have a few issues still had gaps on bottom teeth. Assistant says oh let me get Dr Jacquie. Dr Jacquie comes into to the room and says without looking at my teeth. Yes teeth looks great. Let's get your retainer. I then state the issues I'm having. SHE instantly gets in defense mode. Dr Jacquie then stated well the sure smile only is 90%. Affective. Since, I never change the resting face I had. I state I didn't pay all that money for 90% . That's not what your prediction showed. Dr Jacquie then pulls up my original picture of my teeth, and say look that's a big difference. With a attitude. I state I paid for something I didn't get. I never said nothing change. I understand I had work to be done. That's what I paid for. I'm not happy. She looks at my mouth and say get a cleaning then come back. She never addresses me again. She looks in her computer typing something. The assistant then says ok maKe an appointment after your cleaning. Basically that was my dismissal. Dr Jacquie states please not until after thanking giving. Say to the assistant we will order a few more I guess. This is my 1st review will come back with the follow up ASAP. I actually liked my progression with them issues. Should've been addressed. Hopefully Dr Jacquie will make this rt.

This place is beyond ridiculous. I went in to compare to local competitors and I was in shock at…read morewhat Bracesetters thinks is acceptable in this market. It is almost as if they are not trying to earn your business rather that you should be so lucky to have them do business with you. The fact that the office looked like it was dated back to the early 90's should have been a huge tip off to how poor this business is. I was impressed by the complimentary water I received when a competitor right down the road offered the same treatment at almost $1500 less and there is a free coffee bar available at every visit. The wall papering and pictures of the office were as stale as the one dentist who talked to employees as if his work was not replicated in the area. The level of professional that my paper folder with black and white print outs that are hand written on when discussing treatment options were a nice touch. I'm sure they went to the dollar store to get said, unbranded and generic folders. While the same local competition provided me a fancy folder with color pages. The person at another orthodontist office, sat with me, typed into the computer the information and printed it out on the spot. I was even able to keep these papers and folders along with a bunch of office swag. I was afraid Bracesetters was going to charge me if I took the pen. I mean, it doesn't appear they want to waste ink or toner and write all over photocopied papers. In any case, this office is a joke. They are the highest priced in the area, they clearly do not want to give back to their patients, and definitely do not believe in keeping up with the times as the outdated office shows more about their business then the fact that they have been around for ages. I cannot speak to the actual work they put out however the other offices were beyond busy and Bracesetters was not as jumping. It could be because they do not accept insurance or any sort of assistance but rather drive a high price for service. Maybe the one of a kind ortho should go to one of the competitors for some tips and tricks on how to drive business. I mean the staff seemed to really try to sell me on the fact they have been around for a long time and the work speaks for itself? How? By cutting every single cost and not give back to the staff, office, or even patients. It seems as if they missed the mark in patient care, value and atmosphere. I am strongly considered Patcher Orthodontist located within miles for a cheaper treatment plan.

Very honest up front about treatment plan, didn't try to push any devices that were not necessary, in fact they delayed my one daughters treatment until all adult teeth came in. The only reason we didn't give 5 stars is the hours, wish they had more available appointments for after school and weekends.

The permanent retainer hurts my tongue and there suggestion of wearing my "night guard" during the day is ridiculous. As well, a new tooth has begun to shift back to its original place as the night guard does nothing to protect it. A third tooth has now shifted and is causing a dental issue that needs to be addressed. Pachter took a good chunk of money from me, promised results when the results weren't delivered pushed it on me for not doing things correctly and then on the program not being able to predict patterns and having to be adjusted to just not helping at all because I signed that I accepted treatment was over. Be very aware of stubborn teeth, future results and discrepancies in the treatment plan and do not be guilted into having them recreate trays or replace attachments that they prematurely take off. Had Pachter not attempted to avoid losing money because the computer didn't predict the way my teeth would move, perhaps my smile would not be reverted back to the place it was when I first saw them. Had they took the time to re-assess as well as not cared what it would cost them to fix the issue after I paid for their service, I may have turned out like the other success stories. Be aware as your teeth can place you into the same position I am in. For your sake I hope not, but if you are considering using them - find a different practitioner as they are not about the end result and success of all patients.

Personally I feel the business is over priced and extremely antiquated. My review is based off of…read morethe ways the doctors go about winning their prestigious "Best of the Best" award from the Times Herald Record. The practice likes to take old nomination forms from the mid 2010's where they had patients fill out their information and the staff would enter it on behalf of them. It's clever marketing to do so and guarantees the nomination goes in rather than the promise that the person will do it at another time or not at all. However the practice keeps the forms and re-enters them year after year after year as both the first round for nominations and then in the final round of voting. I am fairly certain that the patients did not agree to have their vote counted yearly after they initially filled out the form. If they did, these forms with that exact verbiage should be furnished as proof because I am certain these forms do not state any where that they will be continued to be used to falsify the contest each year. I challenge the doctors to produce these forms. I also challenge the Times Herald Record to investigate the voting to see how calculated it is, how many times has the same fake phone number been entered, how many email addresses were entered a few times adding one special character to make it brand new vote. More so, pull the voting time stamps - it would be amazing to see how all these patients were voting the same day within minutes of each other. If the practice wants to argue that they used forms and had staff enter in this last year, please furnish the correct 2023 forms which accurate information and dates. I'm sure that they cannot. That's not a practice I want to business with.
