I am not usually the type to leave a negative review, but I feel this experience needs to be…read moreaddressed in office. To be clear, this review has nothing to do with the hospitality of the staff or physicians at Irvine Dermatology. Everyone I have interacted with, including Dr. Koupaie, has been kind and pleasant during my visits. My concern is specifically with the organization and management of my Accutane treatment from beginning to end. I was already very anxious about starting Accutane because of the side effects and the strict and tedious process involved with obtaining the medication. Despite those concerns, I decided to move forward. At my first visit, I paid my copay, completed the required bloodwork, took a second pregnancy test in the office, and then attempted to pick up my prescription. At that point, I found out that my iPLEDGE account had not been properly set up by the office. Because my account could not be located in the system, my treatment was delayed by an entire month and I essentially had to start the process over again. This was extremely frustrating and inconvenient. As my treatment continued, I also noticed that during follow-up visits the medical assistants would frequently seem unsure about which month of treatment I was on or what dosage I was taking. I usually corrected the information myself and initially did not think much of it. Toward the end of treatment, however, the repeated confusion about which month I was on became concerning enough that I checked my own prescription history through my pharmacy. I discovered that I was already on my final month of the six-month treatment. I called the office to confirm, was told they would look into it, and later received a text confirming that my treatment was in fact complete. That is what concerned me the most. If I had not independently checked my prescription history and researched the medication myself, I could have continued under the impression that I still had additional months of treatment remaining. For a medication like Accutane, which requires close monitoring and has some pretty strong side effects, I find it alarming that these types of mistakes were made on a consistent basis. I am not writing this review out of malicious intent, and I want to reiterate that the staff has always been personally kind to me. However, the repeated discrepancies in my treatment history made me question the accuracy of the office's charting and how closely patient treatment plans are being tracked. Patients should be able to trust that their medical records, dosage, and treatment timeline are being monitored accurately without having to independently verify everything themselves. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and changes are made.

He said the cyst I had did not look like a skin issue but rather recommend me to another doctor for further examination. This cyst turned out unfortunately to be malignant and was a very rare form of cancer. Thankfully it was caught early and I am now 8 years in remission. If not for Dr Lauber taking the time to examine me despite not getting compensated for it due to not taking my insurance, I would have likely assumed it was some skin issue that would have gone away. As with any cancer diagnosis, time and early prevention is so important. I owe so much for Dr Lauber! Thank you for what you did. I owe you my life.

Every provider here is wonderful I don't recommend one specific doctor because they are all amazing. My treatment plan was very thorough and thoughtful. We started with oral medications, skincare routines, and facials, and my doctor took the time to try different oral options to see what worked best for my skin instead of rushing the process. Once my acne was under control, I moved on to laser treatments to help with scarring and pigmentation, and the improvement has been life changing. This place truly feels like a second home. Every single provider I've seen has been kind, patient, and knowledgeable, and you can tell they genuinely want the best results for their patients. I also want to give a special shoutout to Marisol at the front desk, she is honestly the reason I love coming in. She is so patient, welcoming, and kind, and she always makes my day better the moment I walk in. Little things like that matter so much. They even have snacks and drinks, which just adds to how comfortable and welcoming the environment feels. I've attached my before and after photos because the results speak for themselves. Response to Amoderm:…read more Your response contains several inaccurate statements. My concerns did not "magically reappear" after 8 years. The swelling, lumps, discoloration, and contour irregularities have been present continuously since the original treatment and have been documented throughout the past eight years by multiple medical professionals. Shortly after the filler was placed, I sought evaluation from a nationally recognized injector and trainer who diagnosed malar edema and advised that the filler had been improperly placed. This was my first experience with tear trough filler or any filler. Since then, I have consulted numerous injectors, vein specialists, and oculoplastic surgeons, all of which is documented. Contrary to your statement, there is extensive published discussion within the aesthetic community regarding the long-term complications of tear trough filler, including persistent swelling, malar edema, Tyndall effect, migration, and filler remaining detectable years after injection. These are recognized complications and not claims I have invented. I have never stated that this experience was a "new" problem that suddenly appeared after eight years. I have consistently stated that it has been an ongoing issue since the original treatment. My review reflects my personal experience and documented medical history.
